These have to be the cutest things I have ever seen!

GH has to start gaining viewers NOW. These most recent ratings are NOT a good sign for the show, because it needed to take as many viewers as possible to 2 pm as it could. GH is going to actually have network competition with CBS’s The Talk and NBC’s Days of Our Lives, in some parts of the country. GH CANNOT bank on people switching from The Talk and Days to GH. Both of those shows’ ratings have moved up this year, and they are growing their audiences. Remember, ABC can still cancel GH. GAA doesn’t have to be its replacement. GH almost certainly CANNOT afford anymore ratings losses, especially in the all-important 18-49 female demographic.

Chris, I agree with you, And I’ll go further to entreat anyone who has ever enjoyed GH to come back NOW. I would ask you to put aside that which you don’t like and concentrate on what you do. Stories shift, actors come and go, regimes rise and fall; it’s all part of this medium. But if you want even the most remote chance that you will get what you want from GH, you have to watch in both the good and the bad times. I feel this is a good time in GH’s history, but others disagree. That’s fine, but let’s not tune out. Let’s support this show so we can continue to fight for it, for what we want it to be. If we give up now, we give up more than you may think.

Moving GH to 2pm was a dumb move, IMHO. “Katie” should’ve been put at 2pm with GH staying at 3pm. I watch DAYS from 2-3 since I watch Y&R/B&B from 12:30-2pm. So I won’t likely be watching GH much.

I don’t like the time change either… It’s all abc/disney’s fault…They started the ball rollin!!!!!! I never watched the soaps on the other channels..I strickly watched abc….And started watching them with my mom.And have been watching them ever since…

Katie is a syndicated show, not an ABC network show. ABC was not going to give an hour back to local affiliates that would be sandwiched between 2 ABC network hours, so something had to give.

Did you ever watch GH ????

Oh you watch Y&R and B&B… Never watched them .. As i said I liked to watch ABC and nver watced the soaps on the other channels…You must be a loyal soap fan of those two soaps….And I am a loyal soap fan of GH..,And positive thoughts for GH in it’s new timeslot…I don’t have negative thoughts for Gh at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For comments on 9/4 at 2:39p.m.

No. I just post on GH postings for fun. Of course I [unfortunately] watch it. /sarcasm.

I think a lot of people that tuned into The Talk were people who no longer had OLTL to watch… now they can come back to ABC to watch another excellent soap opera with a few familiar faces added in.

I think GH will survive the time switch, but not sure Katie will be great after the first few weeks. used to be a great line up in the afternoons: OLTL, GH and Oprah.

I don’t think it’s dumb to move stuff around – they’ve got that time slot that tanks with everything else but a soap. If GH is as great a show as we all think it is, it should survive no matter when they show it.

I agree w/Christy………….

That’s wishful thinking. I disagree with that and highly doubt that most displaced OLTL fans have been watching The Talk in the last 8 months. Looking at past ratings for the first part of 2011, The Talk was pulling in 2.0-2.5 million viewers regularly even when OLTL was still on the air, same as in early 2012 after OLTL went off. Like it or not, The Talk has cultivated an audience of its own that’s most likely not interested in soap operas.

GH CANNOT bank on people switching from The Talk over to GH and I just don’t see that happening. Any way you slice it at this point, I think GH needs a miracle to survive past its 50th anniversary, sad to say.

I tuned into “The Talk” because “As the World Turn” was cancelled. I never watched “One Life to Live”, hence why I don’t want “General Hospital” in its timeslot. It’ll fail and get canceled.

Gh won’t fail in it’s new timeslot… We need positive thought not negativiity.,.I watched AMC . OLTL & GH……My other two soaps are gone ..So will alway’s support this soap…,.You are a soap fan & why don’t you support Gh or whatever soap you like to watch…I am here to support my last soap on abc 100% …………………………………………………..I watched the talk once when I was on vacation & that was it…I rather watch drama than a lot of talk and info..,.

Chris – I said a lot, not most. A lot went to other soaps (on other channels) or just went elsewhere all together. I would think many of those%2

Chris – I said a lot, not most. A lot went to other soaps or shows on other channels. (And a lot to me is not as many as Neilson’s counting). I would think many of those that turned to find see Revulsion or GAA have been channel surfing just waiting for something better to be in that slot.

Scott – same difference. Your soap was cancelled and you turned into the Talk. I don’t think GH will tank or get cancelled due to a time change — and in my area it is NOT changing times. I hope you can record 2 shows. I’d probably buy another DVD recorder if that happened to me.

To anyone who has a DVR. If you change your recording to “series” your DVR will record any time the show is on, and you don’t have to change any times. I record the SERIES for GH, OLTL, AMC and Brothers and Sisters. So if it’s on Soapnet, ABC or whatever, it is recorded. IE Brothers and Sisters is on ABC sometime Sunday nights I think. It is recorded by my DVR even though I didn’t even know it was on that station.

Obviously the producers don’t know anything about DVRs.
Same with Live! With Kelly…my DVR is still recording her show w/o changing anything.

As much as I’d like to see GH survive, I sadly think that the time slot move, one of the first such moves in its entire history, will be disastrous. If GH was faring so poorly in the time slot it occupied for decades, what makes people think that the numbers will be much better an hour earlier? If the content and quality of the show remains as it is currently, this move will be akin to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

the plus side is now there’s no break in soaps….go right from B&B or Days to GH….when I’m home, I hate that empty hour.

this way when Katie fails, ABC can drop classic soaps in her time slot and it wont cost anything and we’re back in business.

How Katie’s show performs will almost certainly have no effect on GH’s fate. Katie is a syndicated show (NOT an ABC network show) from ABC/Disney’s production arm. The hour where Katie will widely air (3 pm) is being given back to local ABC affiliates. (While it will air on mostly ABC affiliates, it will also be seen on a handful of NBC, CBS, FOX affiliates.) In other words, ABC will no longer program that hour and will program one less daytime network hour as of next Monday, Sept. 10. And even if Katie fails, that time slot will still belong to the affiliates. They’ll simply move other syndicated/local shows into that hour.

Here it goes for Sept. 10 (Mon.) My cable Co. Has GH at 2:00p.m. on ABC , at 3:00p.m. on Abc IS Steve Harvey & last but not least at 2:00p.m. on Wesh (NBC) is Katie Couric… Katie isn’t on after Gh on my cable Co…

Chris,

Don’t buy in to the network propaganda here. Everyone knows that Katie was brought in to kill GH. It just so happens that enough stations didn’t want to buy in that they HAD to go the syndication route. Regardless of which station she appears on in your area-which 95% of the affiliates WILL be ABC affiliates (if you don’t believe me, Michael states that himself)-if she’s doing it on ABC’s dime, she’s an ABC show. You don’t move GH up an hour, “strongly encourage” affiliates to air Katie at 3/2-and expect nothing in return-this is why soapers MUST and WILL make Katie fail…

Watched them all, Jane Elliott was by far the best, liked Dom’s also.

I will be watching GH Sept. 10 at 2:00p.m… That’s a date……………

We all have to have positive thoughts about GH at 2:00p.m…..And no negative thoughts….We all want GH to be sucessful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And prosper !!!!!! I know I do….

if people want to stay positive I suggest they stay far away from the total negativity at SOC..
I think GH will do much better in the new time slot!! 🙂
GH needs all the support a fan can give now, if it is to survive we fans need to rally with support

well, i’m not sure how the time slot change is all over the country but i’m from colorado springs , and GH has always aired at 2 pm and is staying in that same time slot, its actually competing against Katie in this market, and actaully katie follows dool, so its confusing, percentage wise, i guess the change in time is higher, across the country but like i said its not the same everywhere. either way, i’m watching GH.

These are cute and all, but has anyone actually seen them played on a station, or during the show yet?

I don’t know about other parts of the country, but here in both the Baltimore tv market and the DC tv market, GH is STAYING at 3PM!!!!! The networks have been running those time change promotions, and the local stations immediately follow them w/promos that say they’re keeping GH at 3pm………the business of tv makes no sense……..

that’s what I’d wish our local ABC would do! Fans of GH have obviously heard about or read about the time change -and I just found out today (just by reading tv listings online) that it is NOT changing here either. My local station has only been promoting Katie’s showing coming next week at 3pm.

Those were good! I liked Jane’s the best.
I am hoping to see lapsed viewers return…I am doing my part by posting on social networks and telling everyone I know. If we all do that, maybe we can keep GH from the cancellation bin! It truly has been FANTASTIC lately and just keeps improving.
and Katie won’t even air at 3pm in my area!!!!!

I will be watching Days. GH is boring now, and Days is my favorite soap. I hope that GH moves back to its original time slot, because The Talk and Days will steal viewers. They’ve already grown an audience and upcoming storylines will end up making Days’ ratings skyrocket, which will cause GH ratings to plummet!

Warning! GH is not changing times in all areas! I had already changed my recorder times and then kept seeing ads for Katie on at 3pm after GH… well if GH was moving up an hour Katie would be on at 2pm here… so I checked the tv listing (online) for today – GH on at 2pm and checked for 9/10 and it’s still on at 2pm! So it’s not moving. Think I’ll tape from 1-3 just incase on Monday. My ABC currently has a local show on from 3-4 and is moving that show up into the slot being vacated by GAA.

and I haven’t seen or heard any ads to tell people that GH is not moving times on that station.

The ad’s will be run on the networks who will have the time change..
The networks that will not have the time change will not have the change of time ad’s.

see Sue’s comment above and mine (her’s at 5:42am) my local ABC needs to say ‘we’re not changing times no matter what you’ve heard’

THIS WEEK on GENERAL HOSPITAL: Dex and Josslyn’s Relationship at a Crossroad, Jason Contacts Diane For Help

Previews for the week of March 18-22nd on General Hospital, plus the latest promo for the daytime drama series, share that Jason’s (Steve Burton) return has already affected so many lives, especially given the fact that several key people aka Michael (Chad Duell), Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Danny (Asher Antonyzn) know his location at this moment.

Eventually, Jason (Steve Burton) will get in touch with Diane (Carolyn Hennesy), from what one can only assume is legal help. However, John (Adam J. Harrington) seems hot on Jason’s trail, but the question remains, if Jason was working for John as seemingly revealed in a flashback to keep out of prison, are the two working together … or are they mortal enemies?

Meanwhile, it looks like its curtain for now in the relationship between Dex (Evan Hofer) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy). After Nina (Cynthia Watros) dropped a bombshell about Cyrus (Jeff Kober), Joss gets an earful of information from Dex, when he admits that he was in Cyrus’s hospital room to kill him on orders from Sonny (Maurice Benard).

According to Soap Opera Digest, Eden McCoy shared, ” I think what’s different about this situation, and what pushes her over the edge, is that it wasn’t, like, a self-defense situation. It wasn’t at a shoot-out. He wasn’t protecting Sonny. Cyrus wasn’t doing anything! And I think that really scares her, to see him in the light of voluntarily killing someone in their sleep. That is very different from, like, shooting someone that’s shooting at Sonny. She is just in shock, like she can’t actually believe it.” As told by McCoy, “At that point, Josslyn says.’I can’t do this anymore,’ and makes her exit.”

Take a look below at the rest of the official teasers for the week.

REPORT: General Hospital Alum, Robyn Bernard, Homeless & Battling Addiction, Before Her Passing at 64

Robyn Bernard passed away earlier this week on March 12th, when her body was found in an empty field, which is allegedly behind a 7/11, and some trailer homes, in San Jacinto, California. The actress and singer, and former General Hospital alum, played Terry Brock from 1984-1990 and was 64-years-old at the time of her death.

New reporting on the life that she led over the past year, and longtime mental health issues and struggles with addiction, paint a picture that may have led to her death. Although it should be noted, the toxicology report is currently not completed or released. However, the sheriff department stated that no foul play is suspected.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, friends of Bernard spoke on how she had become part of their homeless community, and that she she struggled with alcohol addiction, and had been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia through the latter part of her life.

Photo: ABC

In their accounts, things went south for Robyn when in 2014 she moved to the community in San Jacinto, which is 84 miles from Los Angeles. At that time, she moved into a trailer park for senior citizens and was beloved for her singing by her neighbors.

The report also notes that in 2015, tragically, Bernard’s trailer park home was burned to the ground taking 7 of her 8 beloved cats and all of her possessions. After that, Robin stayed with many people of the community, but the previous management chased her off of the premises. She then broke up with her boyfriend and eventually stopped communicating with her parents.

Bernard’s final home was in a community called Parkview Estates, facilitated by Riverside County’s Adult Protective Services Department.  According to police records obtained by Daily Mail, through 2017-2019, Bernard faced numerous DUI drugs and alcohol arrests during that period.

Joni Woods, who lives opposite the space where Bernard’s trailer once was said: ‘I used to see her (Robyn) around town all the time pushing her shopping carts. She always had four or five of them, and I always felt so bad for her.” Robyn’s former boyfriend, Dan Berlin, expressed that the last time he had seen the GH alum was two years ago, “She was out there, talking to herself in a nonsense way. She was a schizophrenic.’

The friends of Bernard shared: “She used to say that Hollywood screwed her over,” adding, “They did her dirty and that’s why she ended up living in San Jacinto of all places.”

Share your thoughts on this tragic story of the last part of Robyn’s life, which again, stresses the importance of trying to find the appropriate help for those dealing with mental illness, being homeless, and addiction.

While ‘General Hospital’s’ Dante Lays in a Coma; Dominic Zamprogna Has Some Great New Portrait Headshots

On General Hospital, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) has thus far survived two bullets to the chest, and is laying in a coma. Sam (Kelly Monaco), his lady love, is by his side and beside herself after learning her ex Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is alive and is of the belief that Jason have been the shooter who tried to take out Dante.

Sonny (Maurice Benard) has been wracked with guilt after he wasn’t so kind to his son, before the PCPD cop got shot. Meanwhile, Jason is hiding out at the Quartermaine boat house trying to recover from the gun shot wound he received.

While Dante’s life is still hanging in the balance, it appears that his portrayer, Dominic Zamprogna, took a diverse range of headshot and portrait photos under the eyes of talented photographer Jackson Davis. The photos were posted on Davis’ Instagram account.

Photo: ABC

A few former GH castmates commented on the photos including Marc Anthony Samuel (ex-Felix) who expressed: “Dante, Dante, Dante…,” and Mark Lawson (ex-Dustin) posted, “Dom!!!! Handle yo’ biz.”

Zamprogna joined General Hospital back in 2009 and has been nominated four times for a Daytime Emmy Award throughout his time thus far on the ABC daytime drama series.

So, what do you think will happen to Dante? Will he wake up and be just fine, or will he have another medical condition? What do you think of Dominic’s new headshots? Comment below.
