2009 emmy nominee reactions

Kirsten Storms (GH): “I’m pinching myself cause I still can’t believe this! What an honor to be nominated alongside such a talented group of actresses!”

Van Hansis (ATWT):  "I made it to the final five.  It’s just like “American Idol”. It feels great to be nominated in the Supporting Actor category.  I was really shocked and I honestly was not expecting it.  So to be nominated, I was very honored."

Tamara Braun (DAYS): "I am absolutely stunned and overjoyed by the nomination. I loved the challenge of Ava and the freedom I was given to play her. I'm so touched and grateful for the nomination and I'm looking forward  to the awards so I can see everyone I have worked with again!
Thank you! Thank you!"

Bree Willamson (OLTL): on finding out she had been nominated: "I was stuck in traffic on 9th Avenue going to a SOAPnet shoot and my husband was the first person to tell me and that was awesome."

Bradford Anderson (GH): "I feel lucky to just have a job... Beyond that, the fact that we get recognized and rewarded for doing what we love is pretty neat. There are much tougher jobs out there that don't hand out trophies or praise, so I feel incredibly fortunate today for sure."
