What is it like to be part of a daytime television’s first family? And how do you set yourself apart and be your own person? Well, the talented and very creative Lauralee Bell, the former Christine on The Young and the Resltess, has found many ways. Since departing the number one series, the actress not only has been raising her two kids, but she has been running a very successful celebrity retail clothing store, appeared in television and film projects, made stops on “Y&R’s” sister soap,”B&B”, and now the piece de’ resistance….today June 8th, she launches her first online web comedy, “Family Dinner”. A project inspired by real life motherhood, and the wackiness of it all. Not only does Lauralee star in “Family Dinner” with the hilarious, Phyllis Diller and Dan Cortese, she actually directed and produced it. Just another credit to her already impressive resume.
BUT, now comes the hard hitting questions surrounding her possible return to “Y&R”, now that former on-screen love interest, Thom Bierdz and Tricia Cast are back. Will she return? In this fantastic interview the actress also opens up about finding out years ago about Bierdz ‘s sexuality and his coming out, and the phone calls from Maria Arena Bell to entice her back to the Genoa City canvas. Fans are waiting for her return! ( I let her know that!)
It was so great to chat with Lauralee, about growing up with the legendary Bill and Lee Bell as your parents. You might be surprised at how this family had their, “Family Dinner”. Also, we discuss the accomplishments of brother, Brad Bell for his recent nomination for the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series for “B&B”.
Always delightful, funny and insightful. I hope you will enjoy this interview with Lauralee and go today to www.familydinneronline and view the first installment of “Family Dinner”.
