It's four days and counting until the light fades on the town of Springfield and one final time "On-Air On-Soaps" interviews its star and soap icon, Kim Zimmer for her thoughts on the finale epsidoe. We preview what's next in Kim's career and her outspoken and honest comments on life in Peapack and on the set, and behind the scenes of Guiding Light over the last few years, and discuss the finale episode!
This interview was held after the rehearsal of the Daytime Emmy Guiding Light Tribute, so you can hear and read Kim's thoughts on being on-stage in front of her peers during that moment.
The moments that will live on in hearts and minds of so many long time fans belong to Kim and her on-screen acting partner, Robert Newman. Together as Reva and Josh, their tumultous andenduring relationship is the glued that held Guiding Light together for the last several decades.
Kim and I share our sadness for the end of the shows historic run, and relief that it is also finally come to some resolution for the cast members and crew who amongst rumor after rumor and threats of cancellations soldiered on through their day gigs, not always knowing what tomorrow will bring.
From The Slut of Springfield, to the Clone, to "I'm Comin' Bud", to endless romantic entaglements with the Lewis men, Reva was a classic! And her enemies! Watch out! Annie, Sonny/Solita to name a few showed that no matter what you threw at her, Reva always came out on top!
Now with Kim's annoucement that she is writing her first book of memoirs about her time on Guiding Light, fans and soap pundits will get more inside scoop from this four-time Daytime Award winner.
You can hear this interview in Kim's words by clicking on the blue audio title and icon above the interview transcript. Go to the Global: New This Month section of this website or click directly on the link below to go straight to Kim's feature.
