There was a big celebration on Sunday night at the 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards after Shemar Moore ripped open the envelope, and announced the ABC’s General Hospital was the winner in the biggest category of the night, Outstanding Drama Series.
For GH, this was their first victory in this category in five years, and the first win for its current executive producer, Frank Valentini. Following the GH victory, Valentini accompanied by his producing team and young cast members: Nicolas Bechtel (Spencer) and Brooklyn Rae Silzer (Emma), along with three-time Daytime Emmy winner, Maura West (Ava) chatted with Michael Fairman in the Winners/Press Room where they shared their reactions to taking top honors. Nicolas and Brooklyn also shared what it is like working with Valentini on the set in Port Charles, and more.
