I’m surprised at= Steve Burton (Dylan)
He is very monotone, I can’t think of one earthshaking performance, but apparently he at least one lol..

Sean Blakemore (Shawn) never got the credit he deserved he was phenomenal.
Perhaps he will bring home the gold, that would be good..

    Jimh(leave it to beaver) replied

Sean is the only one i think should win but it’ll probably go to Jacob Young-haven’t watched the latter’s show in a very long time but he is a very fine actor.

    Timmm replied

Its a weak group but I think Jacob should and will win it!

    Soaphound replied

You make a good point. The question is WHY the group is weak, don’t you think? With so many good actors, this field should be stronger. Y&R’s Scott Elrod was impressive in his scenes with Jessica Collins, and what about Greg Rikaart’ s touching scenes during Chloe’s breakdown? Is there a rule that a “leading” actor can’t submit in a supporting category during a slow year? If u ask me, Christian LeBlanc really belongs in the supporting slot this year, while Daniel Goddard’s exceptional work during the Lily/Joe affair could have had his leading slot. Just a thought…

    Ces replied

weak group. Strange. I think Sean is really good and should have been utilized by the show much better.
    Steve Burton, really? lol!!

  2. David says:

Jacob Young is the BEST! He deserves to win this year. He’s phenomenal as Rick…

  3. Nanci says:

I like Dylan, but although his scene with Avery had its emotional moments on his
part, watching it really only made me miss Avery, and Jessica’s portrayal of her, all
    over again! She was great!

  4. Mateo says:

This one was hard. I watched them all and I was drawn to the consistency of Jacob Young and I don’t even watch B&B. It was a strong performance. The writing on that show is way too campy however. So in the end I went with Dominic Zamprogna. His portrayal of Dante is beyond reproach. His expression while revealing his affair with Valerie was without fault. There was the pain, the disappointment and even the disgust. He was fantastic and other worldly. I watch Y&R but both Bryton James and Steve Burton are way overrated. They are both too fake in their portrayals. They both look as if they are reading lines they memorized. They are devoid of emotion. I love Y&R but those two are weak links. Sean Blakemore is strong. My only fault with Sean’s story is that it was weak. He is a great actor but I don’t think he did as good as Dominic. If Jacob Young or Dominic Zomprogna win I will be very happy.

  5. Mo says:

I don’t watch GH so between Bryton and Jacob. I say Jacob. He’s scenes were more compelling.

    Mo replied

    His scenes-oops.

  6. Derrick says:

They all look good but I think it will be between Jacob Young and Bryton!

  7. Linda says:

I am not familiar with James but the other actors are all very good. I used to watch AMC and thought Young was one of the best actors on that show. Good luck to all of them. It will be a tough decision.

  8. janeway says:

To me there is no question it needs to be Dominic Zamprogna. Whether you watch GH or not, just watch his reel and it is absolutely riveting. The scenes are all raw emotion; anger, pain, realization, remorse. His portrayal is so real and believable it is painful to watch, but you can’t look away. I can’t watch this reel without tissues handy. Dom is one of the most under-rated actors on TV it is time he was recognized. I hope this is the year he takes home the Daytime Emmy Award.

  9. Kevin says:

From these reels, I would go with Dominic Zamprogna.

  10. Ollie says:

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Jacob to win! He is such a good actor

  11. Nikki says:

After watching the reels handed in , I couldn’t pick just one. I would have to say my first choice is “Dominic Zamprogna as Dante G.H.” or “Jacob Young as Rick Forrester B & B”.
