TNT’s Dallas season three two-hour season finale has now aired on all time zones, and we will give you a recap of the big storylines and cliffhangers in a post tomorrow morning to get your feedback on that!

SPOILER Alert forthcoming!  Don’t read on if you have not seen the season three finale, but plan to watch!

Following the conclusion of the West Coast airing tonight, Dallas star Jesse Metcalfe (Christopher) sent out a heartfelt tweet to his followers, fans, and colleagues.  As had been promoted in the series promos and hashtag leading up to the finale that “One Ewing will die!”, it certainly came true! In the final moments of the show, Christopher perished when the car he was in waiting for Elena in, blew up thanks to a bomb! It was curtains for good guy Christopher!

With that, Metcalfe, the former Passions star, tweeted “What a finale!!! I want to thank everyone who’s supported me over the years and all the incredibly loyal @Dallas_TNT fans. You’re the best! #Ripchristopher”

So what did you think of the ending of Dallas tonight and the sudden death of Christopher? Did you think he would be the Ewing to be killed-off?   Weigh-in below!

I thought maybe he didn,t go out to the car and hoped he wasn’t,t in there. Why did he leave the show? I was a big fan of the original show years ago ,but this new Dallas is just as intense and more with the story lines .I hope there is another season, I love this show

I hate that they killed him off the show i thought for sure it was gonna be John Ross. And that he has a sister he has to find and that Elena is with child and dont know who the dad is, its gonna be a damn good show if it comes back on the air which i think it should.

I’m not convinced! I think it was someone else getting in the car and in the season 4 premier, Christopher will run out of the store. It will be played out as if it was a car thief or something like that. It was just too suspicious how they did not show his face while he was walking toward the car parked away from the store. It was also sort of dark where the car was parked. Christopher is too much of an important character to be killed off….

I really hope this is like the episode where Bobby died. So many fans were upset that they brought him back and had his death be a dream.

I think too many people will be upset that anyone had to die, They are all too good and have major storylines! I was hoping for Elena and Christopher to get back together.

Also, didn’t JR sleep with Sue Ellen’s sister, Kristen? Perhaps she had a baby before she was killed off.

    Cindy replied

Totally and completely agree with your response. It’s exactly what I thought. HOPE we’re right!

    Eddie replied

I agree,,like JR being shot in the original series. I think he will be back..We will see how it plays out.

I want to know who planted the car bomb?

    Paul replied

I don’t believe he’s dead either. I predict someone else was in the car and Christopher will wind up alive.

    Ken replied

I agree. It was too ambiguous. If they wanted it to be conclusive, they would have made it conclusive. Also, in the scene just before the explosion, Christopher is wearing a checkered shirt. The guy getting into the car appears to be wearing a solid shirt. Rewatched a few times just to be sure.

    Gregg replied

TONY: Have you seen the show? Nicholas ordered/arranged the explosion because he wanted Chris out of the way. He could see that Chris was ready to get involved with Elena again and he wants her for himself. If you want a realistic prediction, despite the number of times he and Elena did the nasty, it’s gonna be that one night with J-R that got her preggers. Just wait for the DNA test next season. If there is one.

    Kathy replied

Sue Ellen’s sister did have a child. That child was Christopher who Bobby and his first wife Pam adopted.

    Krissy replied

I’m also not sure he was in the car. It would be out of character for Christopher to leave the store without Elena. He’s too much of a gentleman! I hope he’s not off the show!

    Michael replied

I believe there will be a similar car in the parking lot. Remember Elaina was a little dazed coming out. I think she was maybe walking to the wrong car. He will come running up to her and ask if she is alright.

    Bobby replied

I agree and I’ve watched a few times and after it shows Ellena walking out to the car you hear a door close, I’m assuming that was Christopher getting out of the car to go get Ellena,

    Dennis replied

No, Christopher should not have perished. I was tired of the cartel story line. In the original series, not one of the cast was killed, except for Pamela, & she returned later. So, as for me, I will no longer support the series. Dumb move on the writers part IMHO.

Worst ending ever! Bad move…Bobby will be so devastated he’ll barely function, leaving bad boy John Ross to rule the roost along with his newly discovered sister, who I assume is JR and Callie’s offspring. This has ruined the whole Dallas saga and I think it will lose a lot of viewers – I’m not sure I want to watch any more.

YES, JR and Calle had a son. But I disagree. Next season will bring in a new rivalry. Christopher was rather boring and really didn’t have have that much of a solid storyline since Bobby basically held him incheck and John Ross ended up stealing his thunder. BRING ON SEASON 5, CAN’T WAIT!

OMG! I can’t believe the writers killed off Christopher’s character. I have been a Dallas fan for so many years and still watch the original Dallas over and over again. I thought John Ross and Christopher would be JR and Bobby all over again for many seasons to come. I am so shocked and disappointed he is Bobby’s only son. How could the writers kill him off, why not Nicolas or Emma someone that was not that important from the original Dallas? Jesse Metcalfe did a wonderful job with the character. I will miss him dearly and I am so sorry that he will no longer be there to battle John Ross and love one another at the same time just like JR and Bobby did!

I can’t believe he died. They needed a man that had a good heart, compassion and sensitivity to all the Hell bound family. They needed him to break up the monotony of being bad. Now it has no “Mr. Goody Two Shoes” I have been watching it since I was 16. To have a mixture of both traits made it exciting. He was a great guy. Stood up for himself! Being good isn’t a gift it is having a good heart like him. Good Luck Christopher Ewing! Ur parents raised u right!

I think they will have another character play christopher. He will have been burned and it will explain why another actor portrays his character. Jesse Metcalfe must’ve wanted to leave so this is the way they will explain another actor playing his part. Hope I’m right.

  6. James McDonald says:

I was blown away by the season finale of Dallas (TNT). I had no idea it would be “Christopher Ewing” to be the one to die, nor do I recall reading that Jesse Metcalfe was leaving the tv series and why would he? At this point I don’t believe “Christopher” is dead. Christopher did say he would take care of everything. So maybe they did a switcheroo. They changed cars? A decoy looking like Christopher went into the car? Christopher is actually behind the building waiting in a new car? Just guessing.

Hmm, interesting theory, I like your logic. I’m hoping the same thing, he was a main character and I was blown away at the season finale as well. I don’t remember them showing his face, I do remember seeing the back, so this could very well be a twist. WOW, I wasn’t expecting him, but knew they weren’t going to kill off John Ross. I’m curious to see who the new Ewing sister will be, and who’s her mother. I like how they are continuing to honor J.R. Ewing after the death of Larry Hagman.

Wasn’t the Christopher vs John Ross conflict a central theme behind the reboot? This Dallas isn’t nearly as much fun as the original. Too much business, too many double crosses, too, too complicated. Give me the Ewing barbecue, the Oil Barron’s Ball and a couple of women who hate each other and meet in front of the ladies room mirror all dressed up.

I agree,. Original Dallas much better. This reboot was ok for a while but the story lines have gotten bizarre…away from oil or cattle and into drugs. There never was so much murder in the originals. I agree…give me a good dunking in the pool at the bbq and back talking at the oil barron’s ball. Not looking forward to next season whenever that is.

Totally agree. The original Dallas was fun, not so dark. I am watching the originals on DVD and the fashions are fun to look back on. I doubt we would look back at this new series like we do the original and laugh about the clothes etc. I think to be a true reboot there should be more story lines that involve past characters.
It just doesn’t feel right. Watching the originals makes you feel like you are back home. This new one has too much Mexican influence, drugs and violence.
There are no happy scenes….Give me the bbq and oil barrens ball, ranch scenes and personal talks between the characters not just backstabbing and lies.
They are wasting Linda Grey on placing her in scenes where she offers a few words or mouth movements-it feels like she is only on the show so they can call it Dallas again. Such a waste of talent and she still looks good.
Not sure I will keep watching next season, I might just keep watching the old series on DVD over and over to get my Southfork fix because this show isn’t worth my time.

    Stacy replied

I agree. Nothing beats the original Dallas, and the biggest thrill I get from the show is from the opening title and music. JR used to produce the same thrill, but RIP.

As for the car explosion, I’m torn: conventional wisdom says it’s a cliffhanger ploy and the title character will be back. Also, it’s hard for Hollywood to keep a secret, and killing off his character would’ve leaked out while auditioning for other roles. On the other hand, this new Dallas was about the good and evil of two generations: JR/Bobby and John Ross/Christopher. He’s death was unexpected and changed everything about the direction of the show. Part of me thinks that with evil JR gone and good Bobby still alive, getting rid of Christopher makes it a mano a mano good vs evil story again (Bobby vs John Ross), with John Ross promising he’ll be “worse” than JR. It would make for a tighter show, at least.

Either scenario works for me honestly…I’m attracted to the classic characters from the original series. I still pray each night that Victoria Principal is watching the show, seething with jealousy, and will eventually beg to have Pamela brought back. Amen…lol

    Reply

  14. Carol says:

How can they kill Christopher? It would not be Dallas if two Ewing offspring, John Ross and Christopher, were not there to play off each other–good vs. evil. The original Dallas would have never lasted 10+ years without JR vs. Bobby! I hope Cynthia knows this and fixes it before they return.

    Anybody else feel the same?

Absolutely agree the whole point is the next generation of Ewing vs. Ewing Now what? Sorry to say but I think it should’ve been a Ewing who isn’t as important such as Ann or Pamela No offense ladies but the show could go on without either of them. And their both very good actresses so they could find other work. I too watched the original Dallas and it was all about JR vs. Bobby and the love triangles. I was shocked and disappointed. However I hope there is a season 4 I will probably watch it to see what happens and I love my DALLAS.

I agree, this was the central theme for the new show. I was anticipating another rivalary between John Ross and Christopher, similar to JR and Bobbby on the original series. I’m curious to see who’s the new Ewing sister?? I also hope they renew for a 4th season. If renewed, please do not have them airing on Monday nights. One of the reason for low ratings is that there’s too much competition. Have them air in the summer time, when there’s nothing on, not the Spring and Fall on the same night as “The Voice” and “Dancing with the Stars.” Just a thought. Then, maybe ratings will improve. That was a sad ending to a very entertaining finale, loved the Judith/JR alliance, that’s going to be fun to watch, if renewed for a 4th season.

I would agree if there weren’t so many people gunning for John Ross right now–Bobby, Sue Ellen, Ryland, and Pamela– seems a bit of an over kill to throw Christopher into the mix. My hope is Christopher has gone to work undercover for the CIA to bring down the Mexican cartel now being run by Nicholas. Faking a death is something the CIA would do–and if this show lasts a recast Christopher could emerge maybe in season five—-but as to your point I think the original concept of the show was to pit cousin against cousin– but after’s JR death I think Bobby took on more importance and it then became about Bobby vs John Ross, rather than Christopher–

I was not pleased. It’s not like Metcalfe was an actor that couldn’t be replaced like Larry Hagman,. Nobody could play JR! I thought it was an odd death – in that, it was shot in a way that would leave one to believe they could get out of it (no closeups, no on screen last breath acting extravaganza), and yet, the way it was framed leaves little plausible chance that it wasn’t Christopher in the car. I guess if there was a death, I expected a Bobby-gets-hit-by-a-car kind of thing, not a could-have-been-an-extra getting in the car before it explodes kind of thing. For a major role on the show, it was one step removed from an off-screen death.

And killing off one of the leads of the show, one of the legacy Ewing characters seems short sighted. It was a Guza-move – one seemingly done for shock, with little regard to the foundation or future of the show (if it actually has one; still don’t know if it was renewed – I suspect the ratings for last nights episode will play a role).

It also only leaves one male lead character in that age group on the show – with three women in that age group circling him. Are we getting a male Ewing cousin next season? Maybe Gary and Valen’s son (she did have twins didn’t she)? The ratio of male to female characters on this show is out of whack (which, might be fair; the original show had the opposite problem, particularly in the later years; too many male characters, too few female characters – well, female charters of any real weight).

After following the original Dallas for all of the years it was on, and watching Bobby and JR play off of each other, I feel that this series needed Christopher and John Ross to do the same. Jesse Metcalfe wanted to leave the show, that’s why they did that. However, they still could have him just end up badly burned, then he would need facial reconstruction, and hire someone else to play Christopher, but I don’t think they are going to do that since they specifically said they were killing off one of the Ewing’s.

  24. Katrina says:

It was a toss between Christopher and Ann. Ann could have been lost in a rescue attempt because it was obvious that Bobby was going to choose Emma first. Once the writers had Elena and John Ross sleep together we knew there was a possibility for pregnancy which would require John Ross to survive the finale. That only left the Christopher character vulnerable.

Well I wasn’t surprise I thought it would be him because at the moment Christopher has outlived his usefulness as a character. There are enough characters going after John Ross– Bobby, Sue Ellen, Pamela and now Ryland, adding Christopher in there is redundant.

I believe in season one the idea was the battle would between the two cousins, and Bobby wasn’t supposed to to be so front and center. But that changed and now it is more about Bobby vs John Ross, and Christopher was Bobby’s sidekick, but not the main opponent.

Of course that doesn’t mean Christopher will stay dead— the car exploding without really knowing who was it in is a classic soap ploy– but next season if there is a next season I doubt we will see Christopher– yet if the character was to ever come back, my guess they will say he went undercover for the CIA and they staged the explosion, so everyone would think he was dead including Nicholas who the CIA wants to bring down because he is now the new Mexican Crime Lord.

Christopher is needed to keep John Ross in line. The whole point is the next generation of Ewing vs. Ewing Now what? Sorry to say but I think it should’ve been a Ewing who isn’t as important such as Ann or Pamela No offense ladies. Their both very good actresses so they could find other work. I watched the original Dallas and it was all about JR vs. Bobby and the love triangles. I was shocked and disappointed. However I hope there is a season 4 I will probably watch it to see what happens and I love my DALLAS.

I was thinking the same thing! They are negotiating a new salary with Jesse and did the car blow-up like his mother (and like Bobby came back) then when season 4 starts, he’s going to run out from the bathroom wondering why Ellena is screaming hysterically! LOL and it was a car thief. So Jesse I hope you get the pay raise you’re looking for as the show just wouldn’t be the same without one level headed person on their besides Bobby!

That would have been the better dead Ewing as nobody cares about the baby yet & only Elana knows! Too bad, I liked the show with Christopher in it. What made the 1st Dallas, was JR & Bobby’s rivalry. John Ross now has nobody to rival with that is a Male. The new Generation was perfect with the Son’s of JR & Bobby rivalry, but that is now gone. Terrible writing.

Season #3 was a huge disappointment. From the useless destruction of Pamela and John Ross by sleeping with Emma, to having Emma raped to gain sympathy just blows. Cidre made it a point to keep her “darlings” alive because she gets credit for every new Dallas character. Which is why Ann didn’t die. She couldn’t kill off Bobby and Sue Ellen because shed piss off TNT (but her interview in EW confirms she planned this for a long time) and that kills her job. Killing the good guy serves no purpose which is why Bobby’s death was re-written. Fans despised it and from Metcalfe’s comments, it’s obvious he was written out. Now why should I care about Elena’s offspring? Her dirty deeds killed Christopher. Why should I care for Nicholas now? He is irredeemable. Why should I care about Emma after singlehandedly destroyed John Ross and Pamela? Because she was raped? Cidre is no different than Phelps. I feel my interest to watching Christopher’s death fallout SIX MONTHS later is jumping the shark. There isn’t ONE plot line I care about next season. John Ross going to Morrocco to find his sister, Cidre’s new character, I’ll pass. The bitterness of Pamela is a turnoff and the love story between JR’s son and Cliff Barnes daughter was the only thing keeping me tuned in. They were the new Bobby and Pam Romeo Juliet storyline and it’s gone. Season 2 was the best. Rest in oil Dallas.

Well it happened! Whether we wanted to see it or not. This season 3 finale played out in true Dallas cliff hanger fashion. Christopher being killed was the last one on my thoughts, so it was shocking and I was truly without words after watching.
To agree with everyone, from the shows very beginning in the original series it has always been the struggle of good vs evil between JR and bobby which was brought up to date and only being natural that the sons of these two Oil Tycoons take there place.
Christopher and John Ross have taken on those roles and with great pride and have done extremely well in doing so elevating the show to a whole new level of what’s gonna happen next keeping us all glued to the TV and wanting more.
I believe that in killing a main character off the the show is a ploy to increase viewers and to gain a response from the public as they did with who shot JR storyline which blew off all medias roofs and gained massive attention.
If Christopher is not dead from the explosion and they bring him back let’s resurrect a few more characters like the original Pam Ewing and Kristen.
I was so excited that they were making a new Dallas and in my book it’s a great show as usual I am glued to my set on Dallas nights. So writers of the show hear all our pleas bring Christopher back and if you can Kristen too and Pam.

Christopher’s death could open the door for other characters to return….including Pamela Barnes Ewing I.

Hopefully, the return of legacy characters will dig this show out of the grave because it is all over the place. I would rather see more romance, backstabbing, family fights and LESS Mexican drug cartel.

Don’t panic just yet. This could all be a very clever illusion to boost ratings while securing a next season with TNT. We could very well find out next season that while the camera was focused on Elena walking towards the car and the bomb being set off, Christopher, for whatever reason, got out of the car again. It’s not like something like this hasn’t happened before. I haven’t heard or seen any of the usual media buzz that accompanies a surprise departure of a main character in a series either. If Jesse made the decision to leave Dallas, the character could be replaced with another actor and the explosion could explain his change of appearance. The original concept of resurrecting Dallas was to pass the torch to the next generation of Ewing and Barns (Changing of the Guard). Unless Bobby’s old flame Tracy is harboring a love child of theirs, he no longer has an heir to pass the torch to and the concept will be lost along with its viewers. They’ve insulted their viewers intelligence once before when they un-kill main character Bobby in the original series. I hate to think they haven’t learned their lesson.

I believe its due to the fact that Jesse honestly did not want to be on the show anymore. Give the writers a chance they could bring in Lucas or one of the many Ewing heirs. Lets just see what happens. Also, John Ross is being pushed into being JR incarnate. Every time he tries to right what he does wrong (which lets face it were all human) hes punched in the gut over and over and over again. Which any rational human would say screw it they think im bad then I’ll be bad.

I know that after last night I had hopes that maybe since they didn’t show that it was actually Christopher in the car, you just see someone get in the car, that it would turn out that it would not be Christopher, but after seeing Jesse tweet people his thanks for the 3 good years, and seeing him saying that he wanted to move on, and seeing what Cidre is saying about season 4 it made me think that Christopher is really gone. One thing though she did say today, that Nicholas is not the father of the baby, and when they asked her so it is John Ross, she said that there are actually 3 potential fathers. If Christopher is off the show I am not going to watch it, but my guess is that Christopher will turn out to be the father of the baby, so Bobby will get to have a grandson. But if that happens, that is even more heartbreaking, that Christopher won’t be there to see it, knowing how bad he wanted the twins that he and Pamela were going to have.

It makes me sick as well. I was afraid that it was going to be him after I saw that in March he posted a photo of Christopher at the morgue like he was dead and getting an autopsy. Then I am just mad cause Cidre point blank flat out lied cause she said that the Ewing who dies would happen early into the 2nd hour, and that it would not be in the last few minutes. So I was afraid with the promos that when Elena was shooting Nicholas that Christopher would rush in and get killed instead, and when they did not happen, I was so happy and relieved, and then here it is 9:56 and he was still alive so I thought it would not be him, I thought that maybe it would be JRs secret that Nicholas was actually his son, and that he had died when Elena shot him, What makes me even more sick is the way they did it. I have watched the original Dallas from the 1st episode. Every Friday night. I still watch the dvds of the original Dallas, and I was a big Bobby and Pam fan, and I still have the image of seeing Pam being all happy about being able to have a baby, and then calling Bobby, and her car going under the semi and exploding. Now to have Christophers death be the same exact way, a car exploding. Just sickening.

I did notice the guy on the cell phone hesitate long enough, before setting the bomb off for this to happen. If Chris is really taken off the show I’d be hesitant to watch again. Who ever this writer is, that seems to want to keep killing people has in my opinion, has stepped in it big time. The legacy of the Ewing’s has to live on for the show to work. I feel cheated that we never got to see what Christopher’s mother (Pam) wrote in the letter he got from her husband in season 2 .I was hoping Victoria Principle would come and read the letter in a voice only sceen at least. But that did’nt happen. I hope TNT brings Dallas back for season 4

I was so happy when I heard they were going to have the new Dallas cause I loved the old Dallas, and I realized that it would not be the same, and you can’t remake the original, but this Cidre it seems to me like she has in her head how she thinks Dallas should be, and she wants to make up things that did not happen. Each year has been worse. Whether it be saying JR committed Miss Ellie to a nut house cause she was crazy from Jock dying, to saying that Cliff would turn so evil just to get back at the Ewings, that he would kill his own grand babies, to Bobby not really even caring one minute when Christopher learned that Pam was dead. He told Christopher that he was sorry for Christopher, but it is not the reaction that the Bobby from the old Dallas would have had. Pam was the love of his life. If a person thought the love of their life left and abandoned them, and then 30 years later, they find out that the person had actually died soon after they left, and had been dead all these years, then a normal person would show some sort of emotion, compassion, even if they were remarried. But the fact that Cidre would kill off a character who fans who have watched since the beginning, have seen that character grow up, from a tiny baby when Bobby brought him home to Southfork, to the character of today.

I was shocked as I watched the finale. I could not believe that Christopher would die. This will be a blow to Bobby. He will probably have a heart attack. Remember the God Father. Al Pacino went nuts when his daughter was shot. How will Bobby be able to function? He will put the blame on “E” She really did burn all her bridges. I can’t wait to see what will happen next. Yes, John Ross is evil but he keeps the show going. We need the good, the bad and the ugly. “Balance is Good.” Christopher will be truly missed. But, I really think he will return. If the fans are upset the producers will have to rethink the plot, especially if they want the ratings to change. Come on producers, step back, take a deep breath, and bring him back!!

Here’s the thing, Jesse left, yes, but does anyone really die on a soap? There were snippets of time where they focused on Elena coming out of the bathroom, and also on the van driver that blew up the car…Christopher could very well be either in cartel or CIA custody for Witness Protection against Nicolas…and if he got burned at all they can do plastic surgery on him and bring in a different actor to play him…it seemed like a really cliche’d ending…so I don’t find it believable that he is truly dead…

Will not be watching season 4 ( if there is one) if Jesse Metcalfe doesn’t come back. If he wanted to leave the show they didn’t have to kill him off to upset all the fans, they could’ve just had him move away or something that way we knew there could be a possibility of his return in future seasons. His rivalry with John Ross was the only reason I started watching.

It just occurred to me and so I looked it up. Christopher’s mother Pam Ewing hit a tanker while driving after talking to Bobby on the car phone. The car was ablaze. It was then that Pam Ewing disappeared from the hospital. Later Cliff Barnes met her in a doctor’s office. She had plastic surgery and was moving on with her life with the doctor and not coming back to Dallas.

Both characters, John Ross and Christopher are main characters, the good Ewing and the coniving Ewing, just like their fathers. Its part of the main story line. I dont know why Jesse Metcalfe left, but the writers/producers better find a way to get him back or the now days Dallas may find it self struggling to stay around.

Hopefully, the car had some kind of metal protection underneath like on that movie “Casino” where Robt Dinero survived. I thought they would kill off Ann (not that she wasn’t a favorite). I thought they would have the cartel scumbag Louise keep her (since he had the hots for her) in exchange to teach him some society manners. And then, she would later get released somehow on another twist. Find a way to bring Christopher back. You need a bad guy (John Ross) and good guy (Christopher).

I too think it was a mistake to kill the character of Christopher. If the actor wanted to leave, you just replace him. I was hoping it would be Ann. There is no chemistry between her and Bobby. After seeing him with Pam,(the love of his life) Ann is nothing like her. I don’t think the writers understand the type woman we expect for Bobby. I thought it would be good for the show to see Bobby dating again, trying to find someone like Pam. As far as Elena’s baby, I believe it will be Nicolas’ baby. He thinks it will be. Remember he said she will come back to him in about 8 or 9 months. He punched a hole in her diaphragm because he wanted her to get pregnant.

This is just a theory… What if producers made a deal with Jesse Metcalfe to stay secret about a plan to kill his character Christopher on screen in order to advance a story line and give him time to do other projects, then return Christopher in a mid season cliffhanger? I say this because Dallas is famous for killing off major characters then bringing them back.. Just like when Patrick Duffy quit the original series and returned a year later in the most infamous moment in television history.. The shower scene that revealed that Pam dreamed an entire season and woke up to find Bobby alive in the shower. The return of Christopher in a shower scene would be the WTF moment that this series needs and would be a homage to the original.. I have a feeling Jesse will be back next season and it will be revealed that Christopher was in hiding by the CIA in a witness protection program.

I don’t believe for a second Christopher is dead. If Bobby didn’t die and the alleged suicide of JR in the original series’ finale, anything can happen. We saw him open the door and then the scene cut away. We heard the door close but not totally see him get in the car. Anew scene could be shown next year where he started to get in but saw something that distracted him and he closed the door without getting in. Anything is possible with Dallas!

I love the JR/Bobby mirror in John Ross/Christopher rivalry. I hope they do not kill Christopher as I think his character is valuable to the story line and flow of Dallas. Maybe it was someone trying to steal the car and they blew up (if Jesse Metcalfe really did not want to pursue other options) or he was burned extensively and had to undergo reconstructive/plastic surgery and bring in a new actor to play the part is another option but just killing off a Ewing like that is unthinkable. Of course they had to give JR (RIP Larry Hagman) a proper exit but to take Christopher; say it isn’t so. I hope that they will allow the option for Christopher’s character to live. What will they do, kill Christopher show a memorial service, sad hearts with flashbacks and then back to business as usual, backstabbing, lying, cheating, stealing, killing, etc. Where will Bobby’s character go from here; he already suffered loss with Pamela, to take Christopher would seem too unbearable for his character to sustain. Bring Christopher back!!!

I love the TV show DALLAS and I am shocked more folks don’t watch it. OK…here is the deal. Jesse M. has had some offers to do other projects. He wanted to stay with DALLAS and they wanted him to stay, but they were not able to raise his salary to the point that would make it possible for him to stay, so he has gone on to do other projects and will make more money. Both parties left on good terms and the DALLAS folks were happy for Jesse that he will have new roles and hopefully help secure his financial future as well. If Jesse had gotten a nice raise others woudl have been due as well and the show just is not able to afford that on tight budgets already.

Might as well shut down the series! I was avid fan of original series. Loved it- Loved It!!! The dynamic of rivalry between JR and Bobby was what kept us coming back each week, which then became years! The series was Iconic!!! I was skeptical about the second go around. But you hooked me and my extended family! Which is 30 plus around the country….The show worked because of the rivalry between John Ross and Christopher and all the story lines that intercect both characters. So sadly, me and my family are done watching. We won’t be back next season, unless you bring Christopher back. There is No Dallas Legacy without the conflict between the two young men who represent the next generation of Ewings, and now have the responsibility of running their family’s empire. Isn’t that what Bobby and JR were really fighting about for all those years….their sons -and to prepare them to run the company when they stepped down….Jock and Miss Ellie are turning in their graves…..
What the hell are your writers thinking???? Sad- so sad……so here’s a suggestion.

If Jesse Metcalf has other commitments and must leave the show; then write a story line
where he survived, is in critical condition, and needs plastic surgery due to burns on his face from blast. Hire another great actor equal to Josh Henderson to play Christopher. But for the series to work, the Character of Christopher Ewing must be present!!!
