4 September 19th, 2015 Amanda Seyfried Lands Mystery Role On Showtime’s Revival Of TWIN PEAKS!

Those who recall the campy, eerie, and mysterious ABC primetime soap, Twin Peaks can’t wait for the revival of the series coming from creators David Lynch and Mark Frost to Showtime!

Major casting news out of TV Line has that motion picture and TV star Amanda Seyfried (Ex-ATWT) has signed on to play a brand new role in the cult classic reboot!

The role is being kept under wraps and tight-lipped from the producers, but Seyfried will appear in multiple episodes of the series.  Filming is currently underway in Washington state.  The modern day version of Twin Peaks will feature star Kyle MacLachlan resurrecting his role as Agent Cooper, plus many familiar characters and faces from the 90′s version.

Seyfried’s other TV roles besides As the World Turns where she played Lucy Montgomery have included: Big Love, Veronica Mars, Wildfire, and a small stint on All My Children. Amanda’s film roles have included: Mama Mia!, Les Miserables, Ted 2, and many more.

Originally slated for a 2017 premiere, there is hope that Twin Peaks could be ready for a 2016 debut.

    As for her role, I’m wondering if Laura Palmer had a secret baby before she murdered…

    I missed the original Twin Peaks, so I’m getting the video from my local library to be prepped for the new revival. Sounds really intriguing, plus it also has one of my favorites in it…Ray Wise, who is currently playing evil villain, Ian, on Y&R.
