1 January 12th, 2010 AMC lands Down Under- premieres next week for Aussie viewers!

All My ChildrenIn more major changes, and good news for our friends in Australia, All My Children is coming your way.  In  a statement released yesterday by The Fremantle Corporation, All My Children will begin airing next Monday, January 18th on Australia’s  Seven Network’s new channel, 7two! With this news the Fremantle Corporation announced the AMC is now in over 20 countries!

“Not only is the production moving to the West Coast, but it will now be available in true high-definition for the first time,” said Fremantle Corp president Randy Zalken.  He added that “a new North American internet initiative embarked on in the last quarter is already expanding into other territories, further enhancing the show’s forward momentum.” Fremantle Corp is making this web content, which includes interactive opportunities and bonus features, available to international broadcasters.”

Digital terrestrial channel 7two launched on November 1 with a grid comprising international fare such as The Sopranos, Six Feet Under and Murphy Brown. 7Two will also feature UK TV series, including A Touch of Frost, Prime Suspect, Minder, Fifth Gear, Heartbeat, Gavin & Stacey and Holby Blue.

    I think this is great news.It means Freemantle Media can now sell the show to countries outside the US,like Sweden for example,where I live.
