If ever there was a video that spells out the hard work, tenacity, passion and love for the genre, and the caliber of talent performing in the soaps, it is this video just released by Hulu and The Online Network called, “One Hundred Pages A Day”.

In a touching and revealing segment promoting the rebirth of All My Children and One Life to Live, several actors from AMC including: Thorsten Kaye (Zach), Francesca James (Evelyn) and Julia Barr (Brooke), Jordi Vilasuso (Griffin), Darnell Williams (Jesse) and executive producer Ginger Smith, fill the viewers in on the rigors of a day in the life of an actor on a soap opera!  From the pace of it, to learning the lines each day and more!

Cady McClain (Dixie, AMC) said it best when she related: “I feel the actors on daytime are really excellent.  It’s such a great opportunity for people to see how these actors can be.  And the the genre isn’t a silly genre,  it’s actually a really valid form of storytelling where actors are doing really amazing work.”

Watch “One Hundred Pages A Day” and let us know what you think of it? And what you know to be true about the hard work in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes that the actors in this medium go through to deliver the performances you love each and every day!

Loved that!!! It’s true it’s a very hard and fast paced shooting schedule and these people have to be on their game and know their stuff… and that’s also why some actors/actresses stand out with stellar work because they do so well in that genre and they immerse themselves in their characters and they know those characters so well and when the writing fits the character and when the writing and the stories are great… it’s why we are such fans!!! We get caught up in it with them and we see them so often… they become friends or almost family.

I hope more and more people, viewer, critics and executives, see this video to understand the tremendous work the daytime community does. The pace these people keep is unheard of in nighttime and film work. I truly admire everyone associated with daytime drama production.

I watched All My Children since the beginning and the actors and actress are brilliant sometimes the storylines were very poor but I continued to watch because I loved the characters on the show. They work very hard much harder than any Hollywood movie star could handle or imagine

just want to say thank you for all your hard work .I believe these actors don’t get the respect and the credit they deserve because everyone has to do so much knit picking in a storyline it is what it is learn to calm down and just enjoy the soaps

Their hard work shows, All My Children is fabulous, I think I like this one better than the older one on ABC. Eat your heart out ABC! I watch the episodes 2 or 3 times a day, it’s that good. So glad it’s back on.
