All My Children’s, Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake) spoke to Soap Opera Digest about the cancellation rumors of  the ABC sudser which he stars on.  Goldin said, “We have been told by the powers-that-be we’re not going anywhere, that the rumors are not true and we would have been the first to know. These are all vicious rumors. To see false rumors affect or impact a legacy television program like this would be a sin.”

Goldin also elaborated that with the rumors comes tough times for the cast. “But that’s not to say that the cast wasn’t concerned. It was a bit of a downer that we’ve all been fielding questions and texts and e-mails from people who love us, our family and friends. My mom called and asked me if the show was going off the air. That doesn’t set you up for a good day at work.”

Make sure to read the rest of the SOD post where Goldin says to the fans of AMC,  “Now is the time to let their voices be heard. And they can do that by calling this phone number: 818-460-7477, press 1, then 2, then 3, then 255 for All My Children.”

The show lost its veterans when the show relocated to LA. Erica’s character is stuck in time. Greenlee’s comings and goings, recast, and her retun were tedious, Too much airtime was invested in the Kendall/Zach storylines and with his demise the show lost its way and more viewers. Too many secondary actors were recently recast. And the storylines are poorly written.
