Two-time Daytime Emmy winner and fan favorite, Michael Park (Ex-Jack, As the World Turns)  is been having a great streak on the Great White Way!  Now this triple threat performer has just landed a primo role in a new musical that will be eventually heading to Broadway sometime next year!

The production: Tuck Everlasting The Musical is based on the 1975 fantasy children’s novel by Natalie Babbitt about a young girl who befriends a rather unique family that never ages because they drink from a magical spring in the woods. Park played the Tuck family patriarch, Angus, in the developmental workshop back in December, and could now be part of the cast when it debuts in Boston in 2013 in preparation for Broadway in NYC!

“Looks like “Tuck Everlasting” (new musical) is happening next spring!” he announced on Twitter. “Asked to play Pa Tuck.”  As many know, Park was last seen in the revival of  How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway.

So with Park landing roles in the Big Apple, how about some smart soap executive writing a part to showcase his talents on one of the four remaining daytime soaps? Or, even cast him in one of the new primetime soaps or dramas slated for fall?  Thoughts?

I “heart” Michael Park. More than a soap star, he is a truly talented actor with commitment to the craft. The Emmys are so well deserved, and watching sopaclassics.com’s AS THE WORLD TURNS DVDs reminds us that acting is an art and Michael Park is among the best practitioners. I am so happy the theatre world keeps him busy.

Michael Park is an amazing actor. I’m so happy for him and I wish him all the best in his post-soap career. He and Maura West had the best chemistry ever for a daytime pairing besides TSJ and FL.
