How is this for some justice?  As the World Turns reached number four in the Nielsen Ratings for the week of September 6- 1oth, which also happened to be the week that Reid died! And, it seemed like the viewership was going up in recent weeks heading into the finale.

It will be interesting next week to see what numbers ATWT’s grand finale today pulled in.

I’m sure the numbers can be attributed to people tuning in for a last look at a show they once loved more than anything else. Once they got a look at the trainwreck it had become with its crazy ass sped up storylines, 20 minute couples, and every woman in Oakdale infected with the baby rabies, they would’ve tuned out once again.

I think the best thing the show could’ve done was have Faith ask Lily how she and Holden met, have Lily start the story and then cut to re-running the Doug Marland years again — I’m guessing the ratings would’ve shot through the roof.
