The Bold and the Beautiful’s executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell revealed more today on the addition of fan favorite and Daytime Emmy winner, Rena Sofer to the cast of the CBS soap.
Sofer, who we learned will play Quinn Fuller, the mother of Wyatt Fuller, played by Daytime Emmy winner, Darin Brooks, is taking on the role of quite the complex character! Quinn is a jewelry designer who has long been keeping a dark secret!
According to Bell on the hiring of Sofer, “Rena’s powerful screen presence and vast range as an actress is what intrigued me most. I look forward to challenging Rena with this role”. Sofer began taping on Tuesday, May 21st and her first episode is scheduled to air on Friday, July 12th, 2013.
Best known in Daytime for her portrayal as Lois Cerullo on General Hospital, for which she won a Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Supporting Actressin 1995, Sofer has also guest starred on a number of television hits such as Covert Affairs, NCIS, Two and a Half Men, Heros, 24, Ed, Just Shoot Me, Melrose Place, Seinfeld and most recently as “Queen Eva” on Once Upon a Time. She began her illustrious career portraying “Amelia ‘Rocky’ McKenzie” on Loving.
