Many soap fans have been wanting to hear from soap icon and Daytime Emmy winner (Many times over), Susan Flannery on her departure after 25 years as the mainstay of The Bold and the Beautiful.  And now, Flannery, always one to let the work speak for itself, sat down with CBS.com and spoke about her favorite moments as Stephanie Forrester through the years.

In special video clips, Flannery explains how she loved working scenes with the late Darlene Conley (Ex-Sally), and her longtime scene partners, John McCook (Eric) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), to name just a few, and picked scenes that have just stayed with her that are extra special.

Out of those three, the two that I really enjoyed were the scenes between John McCook/Susan Flannery and Darlene Conley/Susan Flannery. Those were two of my favorite scenes. I however loved the scenes that played out between Brooke and Stephanie after Stephanie was initially diagnosed with lung cancer back in 2010 that led to the homeless storyline that basically had me in tears during almost every episode that year.

With Susan’s recent scenes and her playing out her upcoming death scenes, I have no doubt in my mind that not only will Susan win another Outstanding Lead Actress Emmy, but Brad Bell and his writing team will win for Outstanding Writing and the show itself will win yet again for Outstanding Drama Series. B&B has been on fire since October and I don’t see them slowing down anytime soon either. This fall will go down as one of the most memorable times on B&B in its 25+ year history.

Over the years, I commiserated with Brooke’s feelings toward your character. In other wards, when she hated you so did I and when she loved you so did I. I don’t know how they will go on without you Susan. You are an excellent actress and you’re portrayal of someone dying of lung cancer never ceases to amaze me. Very real, to the point where I wondered if indeed you did have it and that was why you were leaving. Thank you for the many wonderful years of playing Stephanie. I will miss her and you!
