Great news today for One Life to Live fans! The best of the best, Erika Slezak (Viki), the 40 year star of the series has agreed to stay with the series when its launched online via Prospect Park in 2012! According to Deadline.com, in addition to Slezak, two other fan favorites, Michael Easton (John) and Kassie DePaivia (Blair) have also agreed to be part of the new venture. And relative newbie to Llanview, but not to soaps, Ted King (Tomas) is also reportedly in!
Prospect Park issued this statement below on the deal with the first quartet of actors to come with the show when it heads to the web:
Official Statement: “Pending a final agreement with AFTRA, Prospect Park has confirmed that One Life to Live cast members Ted King (Tomas Delgado), Michael Easton (John McBain), Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer) and star of stars Erika Slezak who plays Lord family matriarch Victoria Lord, have agreed to deals to join the company’s new production of One Life to Live. This marks the first confirmation of cast members since Prospect Park began planning for the soap production to live on the new online network beyond its finale January televised date on ABC.”

The importance by the way of Prospect Park closing a deal for the actors with American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, is it will then enable the studio to sell a second window of One Life to Life to cable network.
Clearly with Erika Slezak in place, the shows high-ratings, the purchase of the sets ( as we have already reported via Jerry verDorn) and some of these other key members signing on, there should be not much doubt that One Life will be given a great opportunity to succeed on online!
On-Air On-Soaps will also continue with key updates on this developing story!
