Guess who’s coming to the Music City drama on ABC?  News today out of PEOPLE.com is that Christina Aguilera is set to guest star in a multi-episode story arc this spring on the primetime soap, Nashville!

The multi-platinum recording artist and Grammy winner is going to be very busy in the coming months.  First, she returns to the judges chairs on NBC’s The Voice on February 23rd.

Next on Nashville, Christina will play the role of  Jade St. John, a pop superstar who’s been going pretty much non-stop since she broke out a decade ago.  She arrives to Nashville for a two-night stand at the Bridgestone, but her real dream is to record a country album – if only her label, who wants her to stay on brand as a pop star, would let her break out of her golden cage.

In real life Aguilera gave birth six months ago to her daughter Summer Rain.   Christina will join the new mommy set along with her new Nashville co-star Hayden Panettiere (Juliette).

What do you think of Christina Aguilera coming to ABC’s Nashville? Intriguing? Weigh-in below!

I anticipate seeing Christina as much as I do Ryan. I love her….out-of-this-world performer…beautiful and talented.

I love Christina, and am so happy she’s acting again. I just don’t watch this show, so I’ll be YouTube-ing her scenes.

Not even a Taylor Swift appearance could get me to give this show another chance. ABC needs to just cancel it and give the hour to Shonda Rhimes.

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I LOVE NASHVILLE! One of my favorite shows. I think Christina has one powerhouse voice…truly amazing singer. Just not sure I want to see her on the show. Can’t explain it…just don’t like the idea of her there. I’ll watch, of course. Maybe that “vibe” I’m feeling about it will change.
