After month of speculations and the reports of the on again and off again talks between General Hospital and three-time Daytime Emmy winner Billy Miller, today official word came from none other than GH executive producer, Frank Valentini himself.
And the word is fantastic news for the ABC soap! Valentini tweeted to his head writer Ron Carlivati a short time ago: “Billy Miller is joining the cast of General Hospital in the role of Jason Morgan. Welcome to Port Charles Billy
In a follow up statement Valentini said, “I am really excited to be working with such a talented and acclaimed actor as Billy. Our cast is thrilled that he will be joining our ‘General Hospital’ family, and I know that he will be an amazing addition to our talented cast.”
Miller will take over the role of Jason Morgan from Steve Burton who departed the ABC series in 2012 and eventually landed on The Young and the Restless, which ironically is Miller’s former soap home where he was beloved in the role of Billy Abbott.
On-Air On-Soaps will continue to have more details including Miller’s first airdate in this developing story, but for now, Jason is returning and it’s GH that nabbed the talented Miller to their A-list cast roster!
So, what do you think of the news? Are you glad to finally know GH has its Jason and it’s Billy Miller? Knowing now that Miller is taking on the role, do you think the Jason that comes to life after Robin revived him, will be a hitman, killer … or will he be Jason Quartermaine-esque, or none of the above?
