Now here’s what we are talking about! This is fantastic news that we all suspected was in the works from last month’s appearance by Josh Duhamel on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. It started when Ellen posed the question if Josh was coming back to All My Children to reprise the role (he won his Daytime Emmy for) of Leo du Pres, former loverboy of Greenlee Smythe played by Rebecca Budig.
Well, exclusively today EW.com has revealed it is confirmed that Duhamel will be back in one, or maybe two episodes reprising the role of Leo this coming August. And in doing so, Duhamel comes home and pays homage to where he got his break in show business.
In story, if you recall, du Pres supposed died in 2003 falling over a waterfall. His body, however, was never found — which left open the possibility that his character would return to Pine Valley.
Duhamel was nominated for four Daytime Emmy awards for his time on AMC; he won for outstanding supporting actor in 2002. So what do you think of a Josh brief return before we say our goodbyes to the folks in P.V? Let us know!
