4 September 30th, 2013 Corbin Bleu Blog’s On Tonight’s DWTS … Dancing The Quickstep is No Easy Task!

Corbin Bleu is back for his second week as the celebrity behind the scenes blogger for for this season’s Dancing with the Stars!

The One Life to Live and High School Musical star revealed in his new post that tonight, he and dance partner Karina Smirnoff will be dancing the Quickstep, and unlike his last two dance routines this one proved more difficult and challenging: “Even though we worked extremely hard on our contemporary and our jive, neither dance required the effort it’s taking to do the quick step. Leading, dancing at an extreme rapid pace and staying in frame the whole time?! What?! If I miss one step in this dance it’s near impossible to pick up on another one and save it.”

As far as their concept for their dance routine for tonight, Bleu commented:  “The theme for all this week’s dances is Hollywood. Karina and I decided to tell the story of a repeating scandal in Hollywood, a young starlet having relations with a director to get the leading role. It’s done in an old school vaudeville way. I always like to have a story and relationship that I can grasp on to throughout the dance. Of course, I want my technique to be on point, but if there’s no emotion from a purpose there’s nothing for the audience to relate to.”

So how do you think Corbin will do with the Quickstep? Will you be tuning in to root him?

  3. Joshua says:

Why is this being discussed on a soap opera site? He represents “One Life to Live” in no way. “High School Musical” and ABC/Walt Disney, yes. Let him get convo going on those blogs.

@Joshua. DWTS is an ABC show. I doubt he was even allowed to mention OLTL. Give him a break. Love Corbin…gorgeous, multi-talented, seemingly personable….fantastic dancer. Love watching him…poetry in motion!
