1 December 1st, 2010 Daniel Cosgrove and Sarah Glendening AMC premiere dates set!

News from ABC Soaps in Depth today, on the incoming recasts for the roles of  Scott Chandler and Marissa, on All My Children, which will now be played by Daniel Cosgrove and Sarah Glendening.

According to the item, “Glendening will make her debut on Tuesday, December 21, succeeding Brittany Allen in the contract role of Krystal and David’s daughter. Allen will make her last appearance on Monday, December 20.  Then, on Monday, December 27, Cosgrove brings Scott back to Pine Valley after just two months in prison. In replacing previous portrayer Adam Mayfield, Cosgrove steps back into the role he played from 1996-’98.”

    Yes, it should be interesting to see DC playing Scott again after all these years. As for SG, I’m not sure why AMC bothered to recast Marissa. IMO, the problem wasn’t with the actress–it’s with the character. I wasn’t watching AMC when Marissa was introduced, but it’s my understanding that Krystal’s daughters never knew each other. Even so, it’s hard to believe that someone as boring and bland as Marissa is the twin sister of Babe, who was a much more complex character. But who knows. Maybe having SG in the role will make a difference.
