Two of Days of our Lives most recognizable names, Deidre Hall (Marlena) and Lauren Koslow (Kate) kicked off an exciting media blitz by the long-running NBC daytime drama series about to turn 50 years old!
Days of our Lives: 50 Years, the latest book by the series co-executive producer, Greg Meng is set for release on October 27th. To celebrate the book and the soaps golden anniversary, many of the cast members are headed across the country in various cities for a book signing, where fans can get up close and personal, and purchase their own copy of DAYS history.
Monday in Los Angeles on the KTLA Morning News with entertainment guru Sam Rubin, the ladies of Salem discussed: what formula has made the show so special for so long, their storylines and on-screen marriages, and learning the dialog so fast including those meaty monologues.
Deidre recalled how she learned about the now iconic demonic posession storyline. She related to Rubin, “I was called upstairs and was told I was going to be possessed by the devil, and levitating above the bed!” Deidre added that her reaction was that of: ”Okay fine, just do it in good taste.”
