44 February 21st, 2015 DAYS Sonny To Will: “You Whored Yourself Out For A Stupid Magazine Article?”

Courtesy/NBC

Will Horton (Guy Wilson) was not having a good day on Friday’s episode of NBC’s Days of our Lives, in fact, it was pretty horrific.  Finally, Will learned the upshot of his indiscretion with Paul Narita (Christopher Sean)!

First, Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will had the long-awaited showdown.  Sonny, from his hospital bed, tells Will he knows he slept with Paul Narita.  After being unable to lie to his husband anymore, Will admits it’s true, but it was only one time as he needed to get his big story, and for Paul to open up about his sexuality.

An overwrought and emotional Sonny fires back, “You whored yourself out for a stupid magazine article?”  When Will tried to explain he got himself in even more hot water, if that’s possible.  Will says, he wanted it with Paul, but it was only once, and he loves Sonny.  Will even recites his wedding vows to Sonny.  But Sonny doesn’t buy any of it.

After getting more agitated, the doctor has to come in and give Sonny a sedative to sleep, because his breathing became extremely rapid.  Marlena (Deidre Hall) arrived on the scene and told Will, “Whatever is going on between the two of you, you two will become stronger.  You will survive this together.”  Will says to his grandmother, “I hope so.”  He then leaves the hospital and goes to confront Paul!

Once at the hotel, an upset Will says to Paul,”Why did you tell my husband we slept together?”  To which Will got an earful!  Paul announces, “Sonny is the guy, the one that I was with, the guy that asked me to marry him!”  Will is shell-shocked as he puts two and two together from his expose’ on Paul.  When Will asks if Sonny ever came to visit Paul, the former pro baseball star related that Sonny did indeed …  the night Will was in the shower in Paul’s hotel room.  Paul also let Will know Sonny revealed to him that he was in a committed relationship with his husband.  Will is horrified to what he has done.  Paul and Will agree this is a big mess! Now, viewers will have to wait to see how the mess will play itself out.

What did you think of the scenes between Sonny and Will, and Will and Paul?  And, what did you think of the performance of Freddie Smith, Guy Wilson and Christopher Sean? Share your thoughts on this February Sweeps reveal day for this storyline!

This was the best and only good storyline on Days all week…unfortunately, the other storylines have stagnated the show which cost it some viewers…paging Kristen Dimera-the ill show needs a shot in the arm stat or face a cruel slow death…jmho!!!

I agree with you, Jim about the other story lines. Surely, the writers could have come up with something better than Serena needing to steal an elephant statue from Eric. I also think the Paige/JJ/Eve story line could have been more interesting with better writing and serious plot planning.

I agree, completely. I absolutely love Eileen Davidson. I miss Kristen Dimera. I think that the Aiden and Hope storyline has played out well. The writers took their time to develop their story-and the back-story. I do think that there is more to the story, however. I think both actors have done a wonderful job with the material.

Freddie is continuing to do an AMAZING HEARTFELT SOUL SHATTERING performance, you feel like you know exactly how Sonny feels from Freddie’s portrayal. You feel all his gut wrenching emotion and betrayal. Guy and Chris are doing well too as you can feel the pain and guilt that has come out do to knowing they betrayed the same wonderful person who they both love deeply. But I think the star of this whole thing with his amazing acting scenes is Freddie Smith so bravo Freddie, keep the amazingness coming! We are suffering right with you!!

Best storyline in ages. I hope Days keeps them front & center for a long time to come. Not only do I adore them & this story, but it’s extremely important for gay community to keep portraying them.
Freddie Smith is a super actor and he absolutely outdid himself this week. He completely blew me away with his performance and I’m happy he finally had the chance to show what he’s worth. Amazing acting and I hope he can get more opportunities to show that on the show ! I’m stuck between WilSon and PaulSon at the moment. Always loved WilSon, but at the moment I really want PaulSon to make it happen. And Christopher Sean is really a super addition to our couple ! I love the guys and the story, I’m totally hooked on Days these days.

It’s taken me awhile to appreciate this story, but I’m now a big fan of the acting and storytelling. The payoff this week has been great. There’s lots at stake and quite a few people involved so that it’s not just a triangle involving three characters. It is the best story on Days right now and while that may not be saying much, it is very good. All three actors, plus Deidre Hall, were excellent this past week. Everything else, from Haiden to JJ/Eve, has been mostly forgettable, or stories I’d like to forget.

Freddie is getting to shine show his acting ability his such talented amazing actor Bravo to him .Sonny showing how shattered broken emotional he is with knowing Will slept with Paul the one life he new and love the marriage he had with Will is broken the trust is gone the vows the loyalty is no more .I cried for Sonny his tears being not just his wound but his heart I just wanted to hold him. Will has really ruined this WilSon that I once loved and cared for.His excuses for cheating on Sonny that has loved him so much given up his life to raise Ari who he calls his own daughter with him and even chose Will over his mother .-And has covered crimes for Will. What does Will do betray him cheating on him without giving a really good reason. Will admitting he did what he had to do to get the story which means sleeping with Paul which makes him a slut.Sonny reaction saying “You Knew”was heartbreaking it does show he does care Paul and he thinks Will did it on purpose. Will and Paul I was kinda disappointed I wanted Paul to shred Will to piece but. Maybe later in time he will.I did wish Paul would of been more honest that he was always looking for Sonny and even kisses him and Sonny went to his room more then once .

Freddie Smith needs to win something!!! He is amazing, incredible actor, I Really felt for Sonny and how he really loved his Husband, Guy and Chris are doing phenomenal jobs as well, WOW love this story line, but it also doesn’t helps when there are Phenomenal actors, such as FS,GW, and CS WOW Will’s world is crashing down and Sonny shouldn’t not forgive Will so fast, Will need to start to beg, beg and gain Sonny’s trust, but still believe that Will/Sonny’s Love is strong and deep!! But They are all doing any incredible job!!! Keep it up!! while we are enjoying this heartfelt, Sad, story right know

For a long time, any story about Will and Sonny has made the focus on Will with Sonny and other DOOL cast members playing second fiddle. This is why Chandler Massey was nominated four times for a daytime Emmy. With this story line and recent episodes, the great story is now being told from Sonny’s point of view and the actor, Freddie Smith< has risen to the occasion. It has given him a chance to show his dramatic abilities. Often it is the "evil" characters on DOOL that get the best lines, but not in this case. Christopher Sean as Paul Narita has also done a fine job.

Yes, it sure gives Freddie his turn…his time to shine. He’s been so underrated for many years, so I’m so glad he’s being given good material, and a big story that is pulling me and others, in everyday.

All three actors did an amazing job bringing all their emotions to the forefront. In particular, Freddie Smith was brilliant. It was easy to feel the depth of Sonny’s pain.

I hope Will and Sonny will be able to find their way back, especially since they are the only gay married couple on daytime TV and I would hate to think their marriage fell apart in less than a year. They should be able to demonstrate the ability to rebuild.

It would be great to see Paul find a new love in Salem. There must be a few more gay guys in town (besides nosy Derrick – lol).

Freddy Smith did great job all week. His best work. He made me feel all his emotions. Guy Wilson keep proving that he is terrible actor. Christopher Sean continues to do good job. Loved his scenes with Marlena. They have great chemistry. I hope he turns out to be John’s son so Marlena can be his step mom.

Now, WilSon confrontation was good. Will made me more sick then he usually does. I see Sonny taking him back though so all this would be waste of time. No way in hell do I want these two to work it out. Will’s betrayal was too much and he still doesn’t feel remorse or shame. Still talking about how his damn article was great hit.

Something serious is wrong with that guy. Also GW’s bad acting hindered the confrontation. I just didn’t buy that he felt that terrible about what he did. He was making too many excuses and blaming others. He even went to Paul’s room to blame him. Also, Will shouldn’t be seeking out Paul anymore for whatever reasons if he is serious about what he says. He should have stopped seeing Paul once he cheated if he really regretted it and just communicated through phones/emails and never go to his room again. Just his office if they had to meet.

Sonny was simply awesome his performance was fanatastic. Paul was also awesome. I really felt sorry for him because he knows now he may never get Sonny back. Will was stiff and came off fake . This actor is in over his head trying to keep up with Freddie and Christopher. They are on another level that Guy is not. Will needs a recast to really pull this story off.

Excellent portrayals by all actors in the Will/Sonny/Paul storyline. This was the only reason to tune in all week. There is not one other storyline that holds your attention. I will give honorable mention to Casey Moss (JJ Devereaux). He is growing so much as an actor and right in front of our faces. He is truly mastering the complexities of his character. Too bad he has such horrible acting companions. The Paige chick is so boring and stiff. Jennifer bites. Abigail is hit or miss. The only other actress who can hold her own against Casey Moss is Kassie DePaiva. The only problem with the storyline is that it’s just so fundamentally wrong, lol. Kudos to Christopher Sean, Guy Wilson, Freddie Smith and Casey Moss.

I have to salute Casey Moss as well. I know Kassie DePaiva from OLTL and love her work. Casey certainly can hold his own in scenes with her. In a way, this storyline reminds me of the old Tad the Cad – Liza and Marian Colby story from AMC. While Casey is doing a great job, to TPTB I say, Eve needs a man in her life.

I also agree that Freddie Smith, Guy Wilson and Christopher Sean are doing terrific work with their storyline. Sonny just broke my heart this week.

    @Llanviewer.. thanks as well… it’s a workable story

it’s not Ava and Morgan…. nor is it, Tad and Marion

it’s still reeled by able actors who ignite

if they got rid of the Paige angle… and focused on only the two… it would spur

Freddie gave an amazing performance throughout this sweeps period with this storyline. Finding out about Will’s cheating had to have been hard to hear and then to find out that he had been with Sonny’s former lover Paul had to be the ultimate betrayal. Of course Will was in the dark as to Paul’s relationship with Sonny. Now we have to see how this will affect Will & Sonny’s marriage Christopher and Guy are doing a terrific job as well. They are truly shining bright in this story.

I have always been a Guy Wilson supporter, but TBH I’ve been disappointed with how inconsistent his performances have been IMO, since Will left for CA. It’s especially noticeable, since Christopher Sean has been doing such a wonderful job from the get go, and Freddie has been outstanding. (These scenes were filmed before his accident weren’t they?) If Freddie doesn’t win a Daytime Emmy from this material then something’s wrong.

I have seen the performances of Guy Wilson, Freddie Smith and Christopher Sean. I have to admit that it was very intense…………..to say the least. I can’t even begin to imagine the amount of work that was put into their performances. It will be very interesting to see how the fall out will play out. I’m not blaming Will entirely because he was in the dark about the connection between Sonny and Paul until it was revealed and the look of shock that was on his face. I’m blaming the whole thing on the editor of Sonix Magazine Zoe for being a manipulator and forcing Will to keep it a secret and making him remove his ring for the many interviews between Will and Paul.

    Reply

    Jeremy replied

Yes! that Zoe chick sure knows how to stir the pot! didn’t she also prove to be a manipulator with Will, previously with the EJ/Sami article, too? Remember, that scene where Sonny came by the office with a rose for Will, and Zoe wouldn’t even let Sonny visit Will for 10 seconds. I also, will give credit to Kate, too. She literally planted, into her grandson’s head, when she told Will something like “do anything to get the whole story” about Paul. Kate was so instrumental as well.

Great episode of many great episodes in their storyline!

Best performer: Christopher Sean is exceptional! He’s sure to be involved in a “Who’s my father?” storyline. Will his mother be able to tell him before her life is cut short? Drama on top of drama for Paul. It’s a good thing Christopher Sean can handle emotionally charged drama! He is delivering from all depths of his being!!!

Freddie Smith holds his own! He manages to convey very sound thoughts and emotions!

Guy Wilson needs to loosen up a bit. I’d bet a fortune that he has some type of A.D.D. He seems to be a little hyper with a weird blank face and forgets to breath. To be honest, he should down a beer before each scene. The demanding storyline is revealing his awkwardness. He needs to relax. With that said, I do realize he is under a lot of pressure by CM fans who’ve hated Guy for five months before Guy was seen on screen. Then CM fans became overwhelmingly hateful once Guy was on screen, but how long can that be an excuse?

i could put it in perspective

    and realize

that each is carrying a 3rd of the picture

    1/3 to sonny
    1/3 to Will
    1/3 to Paul

that 2/3 is so full.. and blooming… that I do overlook the 1/3 that is Guy Wilson

the resounding sentiment… he needs to be recast… and I say that… for all the time he was in LA getting his mother Sammi and family situated… HE WAS NOT MISSED

that says it all… except in the case of continuing storyline with Sonny

there’s so much story down the pipeline with these three… recast with that 1/3 smolder and it’d steamrole, snowball, and stratosphere
