10 January 11th, 2016 Daytime Emmy Winner & Y&R Alum Jeff Branson To Play DC Comic’s Master Jailer On CBS’ SUPERGIRL!

Daytime Emmy winner Jeff Branson has been cast as one of the DC Comic characters in CBS’s Supergirl!  The annoucement game during the  TCA Winter Press Tour, where press members were welcomed to the set of the series.

Branson who played Shayne Lewis on GL, Ronan Malloy on Y&R , as well as Jonathan Lavery on All My Children is set to play the recurring role of Master Jailer, the forceful and unrelenting jail guard on Fort Rozz who showed no mercy. Now on Earth, he is hellbent on catching all of the Fort Rozz escapees and brutally bringing them to justice.  Seeing the escaped inmates unleash their wrath on National City only stirs up his inner-vigilante, and he goes on a merciless hunt to round up the prisoners and restore justice to the universe.

The actor tweeted his enthuisiam for his new role on Monday relating:  “Could not be more excited to be part of the @supergirlcbs world! Feb 22nd everyone. #Supergirl”

    I’ll never forget him in the movie, “I Spit on Your Grave” (2010 remake). His character died in the most awful way imaginable.
