For those of you wondering just how did the first ever live-stream of the Daytime Emmys equate in numbers of those who watched online, well, while no data has been supplied for the actual initial stream, according to LiveStream data on their Daytime Emmy page the 41st Annual Daytime Emmys Red Carpet Show and Awards ceremonies combined live stream was viewed 124,184 times since last Sunday June 22nd, when it was broadcast out to the web for the first time. This number does not include the live broadcast!
In addition, LiveStream also offers up the number of views if you watched the slammed red carpet debacle after Sunday’s original airing hosted by “millennials”, Brittany Furlan, Lauren Elizabeth, Meghan Rosette and Jessica Harlow! That stream shows it has been viewed 3,647 times. And if you just viewed the awards ceremonies this week hosted by Kathy Griffin, that is showing up at just over 7,000 views as of now, which rounded out with the top number gives roughly just under 135,000 views post-stream.
In addition, Yahoo TV and other outlets did stream the Daytime Emmys and those numbers have not been factored in to the total. And no other data has been supplied by the producers of the show as to any other viewer numbers as of this time.
So what do you think about the numbers of people checking out the Emmy post-ceremonies? Surprised? Not surprised? Glad not more people have viewed the embarrassing red carpet show? Do you hope many more watched the live ceremonies when it streamed for the first time last Sunday? Weigh-in!
