Those already missing All My Children will get to see fan favorite Debbi Morgan in a brand new role!  The Daytime Emmy winning actress had landed a role in rapper 50 Cent’s new STARZ cable drama entitled Power!  According to Deadline.com, Morgan will play the role of Estelle, the mother of Tasha St. Patrick.

Power “tells the story of wealthy New York City nightclub owner James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick), who wants to build an empire and turn the club into a Fortune 500 business, but there’s just one problem:  He is living a double life. When he is not in the club, he is the kingpin of the most lucrative drug network in New York for a very high-level clientele.  La La Anthony will play LaKeisha Grant – childhood friend to Tasha St. Patrick (Naturi Naughto) and her closest confidant who is kept in the dark on certain aspects of Tasha’s life out of necessity.”

Will you be checking out Debbi in Power?  Are you happy to hear the AMC gang are booking other projects? Let us know!

How funny, I was thinking the same thing, Days should have snagged her for a role. She could have been a sister of Maxine! I keep waiting for Maxine to become a contract player cause she is awesome!

I don’t have STARZ or I would surely check her out on the new show. Congratulations to Debbi!

I would have liked to see them return in AMC but since that’s not happening now, I’m glad some of them have been finding other work. I love Debbi & know she’ll be awesome in Power. I don’t have Starz so I won’t be seeing the show but I wish Debbi all the very best!!!

I doubt AMC will ever return period. The only way for AMC to return is if PP wins the lawsuit against ABC. But that’s unlikely to happen. ABC-Disney is just too big and too powerful.

Yes, I am happy. Not a show I would typically watch but I am always happy to see Jill, Debi, Darnell, Vince, Thor, etc. well and working. These are top of their craft actors, true professionals who have given me countless hours of enjoyment watching them do what they do best. I only wish the stigma of ‘soap operas’ wasn’t out there. The average person just doesn’t realize what goes into an actor’s life when they have a starring/busy role on a soap opera. The multitude of pages to memorize, and all of the rest that has to be down pat and believable at an incredibly fast pace. These are the true pros in show business and people who don’t watch and are not familiar with it all just don’t get it. Well, I do and I want to thank all of them for so many years of laughter, tears, smiles, and generally just looking forward to each new day because I knew I would be seeing all of them. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU in every endeavor you undertake!

Happy to see that a talented actress which Debbi most certainly is already has an acting assignment.
Deeply saddened (truly) by the departure of ALL MY CHILDREN more than words can express, and if it should resurface, and I realize that’s a pretty big “IF” – we would really have to accept new faces in pivotal roles. I don’t know if fans would accept a new Dr. Angie, and without Angie, what does Jesse do – and the most disappointing factor in this utter insanity (re AMC’s untimely cancellation) is that we won’t, at least for now, get a chance to see Tad and Jesse in action -

It really pisses me off that so many of the actors I like are doing cable shows that I can’t watch! I can’t afford to pay for every premium cable show, so I’m sure I miss out on a lot.
But I wish her luck and success!

I was hoping Morgan would turn up on GH as TJ’s neglectful mother. The character has been mentioned a few times lately which makes me think she’ll be in Port Charles soon.
