Over the past weekend, the stars of Desperate Housewives called it, “A Wrap!” After eight seasons the soapy nighttime series, which will airs its final episode on ABC on Sunday, May 13th, bids farewell. To mark the occasion, the sexy stars of the series gathered for their official wrap party at the W Hotel in Hollywood.
As many of the series regulars and recurring stars stopped by including: Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, Brenda Strong, Vanessa Williams, Doug Savant, Mike Denton, Kevin Rahm and Tuc Watkins, conspicuously missing were two of the leading women of Wisteria Lane! Yup both, Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross were no shows! But why? It did seem odd that the gals did not make an appearance since they were two of the main “faces” of the series since the beginning. Several sources reported online that calls to their reps about it offered no comment or information.
As for series star Eva Longoria, she will still be Housewives’ involved as she is one of the co-producers on Desperate Housewives creator, Marc Cherry’s new upcoming primetime soap, Devious Maids, which will also co-star soap icon, Susan Lucci. Eva told The Hollywood Reporter on wearing her upcoming producing hat, “I’m a control freak. I’d much rather have more participation in the outcome of the product than as an actor. As an actor, you get in front of the camera and say your lines and hope the part comes out well. As a producer, you really get to control that.”
