Remember we reported back last summer a lunch meeting with DAYS head writers, Marlene McPherson and Darell Ray Thomas and the series Co-EP, Greg Meng and soap favorite, Ian Buchanan that led to his signing on with the soap?

Well, in this week’s issue of Soap Opera Digest ( on newsstands now) details have emerged of just who, what,  and when the Daytime Emmy winner will begin his new role of  Ian McAllister, who promises to be a major force in Salem.

The scoop is: upon his arrival in Salem, it will be revealed that McAllister has ties to some peeps in town.  Looks like …  he will be involved with Madison James (Sarah Brown) and Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow).

Look for Ian to debut as Ian on the February 9th episode of the NBC soap!
