In a must-hear interview on Friday’s Soap Central Live, Victoria Rowell, fresh on her huge media tour for her new novel, Secrets of a Soap Opera Diva, admitted to Soap Central Live host, Dan Kroll that there had been some sort of discussion to bring Victoria to All My Children to reunite her with her former, Eve’s Bayou co-star, Debbi Morgan (Angie).

Rowell stated,  ”I will definitely tell you this… That’s something that All My Children and I have had a little dialogue about.  And certainly Debbi Morgan and I have talked about that.”

Rowell went on to say that this is not the first time that Morgan and Rowell have tried to work together again, but on a soap.

Victoria announced, “I tried to get Debbi Morgan on The Young and the Restless as a distant relative and Y&R passed. For what reason, I do not know. It was a silver platter situation — and we were heartbroken. Debbi even wrote a letter, which I delivered to the producer at the time, and unanimously it was turned down.”

That’s really dumb of the Bell soaps. B&B also could have offered Morgan a deal as a District Atty. who hated the Forresters, yet nothing materialized.

She could have been a good sparring partner w/ Stephanie, but instead they have Flannery and Gareis(?!) do acting battles. How dumb.

The Bell soaps keep actors that can’t act on contract, and some even on the backburner or recurring for years like the following: Harmon, Ronn Moss, Don Diamont, Brandon Beemer, Kyle Lowder, Texas Battle, Kim Matula, Drew Tyler Bell, Jennifer Gareis, Ashley Jones, Jack Wagner and Leslie Anne Downe, but they won’t snap up talented actors like Morgan.

That’s why B&B and Y&R are slipping in the ratings. They shouldn’t proclaim they’re number 1 since Y&R is eroding. 5 million viewers every so often, and 3 million on avg is nothing to rejoice abt. And the only reason B&B is number 1 is because it was able to be broadcast in many countries, and most telenovelas and foreign soaps favor the 30 minute format.

Y&R and B&B are slipping bec of bad writers, worse storylines and worst actors.
