Dancing with the Stars All-Stars has now aired on all parts of the U.S. and after each of the five remaining couples performed two dances in the semi-final round tonight, the competition is very close!
Our favorite couple General Hospital’s Kelly Monaco (Sam) and her dance partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, did not start out too well after the first dance which was a “Surfer Tango”. Many felt the highlight of this dance was Val in a Speedo! When the judges weighed in, Bruno said Kelly was upstaged by the Speedo, and her placement wasn’t there! The duo scored a 25.5 after the first round of dancing, landing them at the bottom of the leaderboard.
However, Kelly and Val were the last couple to dance, and for their final dance of the evening they rumba’d to the music of Michael Jackson’s, “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You.” Talk about sexy! It was steamy and yet beautiful to watch! And while Val felt that they deserved “10′s” the duo scored 9.5′s across the board from the judges giving them a 28.5.
At the end of the night, Kelly and Val tied with Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke for the total lowest score on the leaderboard with a combined total of 54. At the top, however, was Derek Hough and Shawn Johnson with 59 , followed by Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani with 57.5, and then Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff with 57. There is a double elimination on tomorrow’s night’s Results Show!
So soapers, did you vote tonight for Kelly and Val? Who do you think should be going home on tomorrow night’s double elimination? Let us know!
