I’m looking forward to this new “Dynasty”. I’ve always liked Grant Show, and hopefully this reboot will be as much fun to watch as the original!

Not excited particularly – DYNASTY was fine in it’s day, I’m not certain that a re-make of it will work today.

Ugh. Why is a network doing this? I’m all for a well written good soap. However, trying to recreate a highly popular serial by recasting the parts with new actors likely will not work. I feel sorry for the actress who is cast as Alexis —- Imagine trying to compete with Joan Collins’ success in the role!!

I thought the Dallas reboot was a flop. It had great potential and (thanks to Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, Patrick Duffy, etc) had a great connection to the past success. However, the writers had absolutely NO idea what to do with it and completely botch the last opportunity we had to see Hagman’s JR Ewing.

Besides the name of the show and the name of the characters, it doesn’t sound like this show has any connection to the original show (notice that Linda Evans, Joan Collins, etc. are not listed). This thing won’t last a year!!

The Shapiros and the network should wise up and give these poor actors a fighting chance: Write a brand NEW show where they can create brand NEW characters.

The original was too campy for my tastes — KNOTS LANDING will always be the gold standard for primetime soaps — but I’m willing to give this chance since Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, and Sallie Patrick are writing/producing.

I remember watching “Dynasty” as a little girl. In the 80′s, daytime and evening “soaps” spared no expense, as we were able to enter into a world of glitz and glamour. My favorite evening “soap” was Knots Landing. I enjoyed Dallas, too. I liked the Dallas remake and loved seeing a few of my favorites from the original back on-screen. Not sure I will watch the remake of Dynasty..

I never heard of Dynasty , but never seen it.
    Just want say.
When people love a soap it’s because of the actors.
Without the original cast it no longer is Dynasty ..

There is going to be a lot of disapointment. It will not be Dynasty but a knock-off that will disapoint.

((MASH could never be brought back, either))

I was on the fence but Rafael de la Fuente? Now I’m in. And he’s playing a boyfriend of Steven’s? I hope he doesn’t come to he same fate as Steven’s first boyfriend on the original “Dynasty.”
