Here is what appears to be a perfect fit for the perfect actor! News this afternoon has none other than former General Hospital and Bunheads star Nathan Parsons (Ethan Lovett, GH) cast as the new James replacing Luke Grimes in the upcoming seventh season of the hit HBO vampire drama, True Blood!
TV Line broke the news that Parsons will take over the role from Grimes who asked to be released from his True Blood contract, because the actor did not like the creative direction of the character, which is brooding and soulful and a vampire!
A source close to James explained to TV Line that “Grimes initially joined the show because he wanted to work with (his Forever co-star) Deborah Ann Woll. But when he started reading the scripts for Season 7, he was disappointed to learn that they were going in a completely different direction with James.”
True Blood has the character of James set to be the center of a romantic triangle when the series returns this summer!
