I am not wishing for cancellation…ive watched this show since 1965 with few breaks here and there, and hate how the ptb seem not to care for it anymore…saying the show will get CANCELATION instead of CONRATULATION is my fear of what will happen to Days if ptb do not listen to fans and turn things around…maybe if you read my previous comments about the show you wouldnt be sooooo rude in your reply to me!!! ps—take a look below and READ my reply to Ray…it says ‘I HATE TO SEE THE SHOW CANCELLED’….

How this get down here…this was a reply to code who said i was a jerk and rude for wishing Days cancelled which isnt true and now i see his comments to me are missing from my comments that are first above and my reply to him placed down here??????????????????????

I can tell you what I suspect happened, jimh. I do believe the moderators, God bless them….they do their job well, and I admire that, realized how inappropriate code’s remark was, and they removed it from the site. Good for Michael Fairman. I also wrote in to carp about it.
So, I think that because code’s comment disappeared, your comment just follows as it was received. I read code’s comment to you. I was mortified…it was not very nice. Don’t worry, jimh. Later.

    CeeCee replied

    Hi, jimh.
Please, take it from me, Jimh. Do not pay this code person any mind. I’ve got your back….always.
He/she just suddenly appeared out of nowhere. He/she has made it his/her mission to insult other posters. I suppose attacking people is his drug of choice. He/she did it to me and others. So, my friend keep posting your well-thought-out comments. I, for one, learn so much from what you have to say.

    Jimh(leave it to beaver) replied

Same here…i will always have your back too…code didnt really bug me…i just think he misconstrued my comments…it happens…ive done it myself…no harm done!!!

    Jimh(leave it to beaver) replied

CeeCee…i also go to another site to comment on the British soap Coronation Street, a very realistic serial about working middle class families…character driven plotlines that make sense and have a beginning, middle and end…so down to earth…i love it…well, on that site you can dislike an actor, character, or storyline and no one ever insults another poster if they disagree with you…instead they politely say what they like about what you may dislike and viceversa…its completely friendly and classy whether one agrees with your comments or not…now thats the way it should be on any site…

    CeeCee replied

    @ jimh.
Perhaps, Jimh. But there was no reason to call you a jerk, whether he misconstrued your comment or not. You have a big heart and are quite forgiving. The world should learn a lesson from you.
Be that as it may, I am glad the moderators removed his/her remark.

Anyway, I do agree with you. DOOL is trying to do its best to keep itself afloat. And, you may be right in that all these newbies may not be what the audience wants. Many are asking for ‘vets’ versus introducing more characters. The prospect of losing yet another soap is very sad, indeed.

Didnt Days try something similar with a character NO ONE wants to remember? A certain scuzball named Colin Murphy? Viewers of all soaps are crying out for vets and characters with ties to the fabric of the show. And yet they keep introducing these pointless newbies, attemping to shoehorn them into story…and it mostly always fails. Dont even get me started on Hayden on GH….a slutty prostitute…willing to sleep with anyone and sell herself to the highest bidder. Classy!!

They are all good looking. Bruszt might have the slight edge for me. Question is, can they act?

@ Mo – Alexander definitely has a mysterious masculine edge. I checked out his reel, too. There’s something interesting about him.

“judging” from pics available on google

i’d say : Alexander Bruszt : he looks like he can carry many different looks with varying emotions to go with

only saw 2 clips from youtube:

    Alexander Bruszt, and Andrew Steel

for the dramatic style, i’d say Alexander Bruszt
for the comedic and doesn’t take himself seriously… Andrew Steel

either way…. GIVE ANNE A BFF with the guy

    “Please”

@ Patrick – All 3 actors demo reels were not very impressive, and without reading a character description for Finn, all we know is that he will be short-term and be working with the wonderful and amazing (haha-ha) Dr. Daniel. I too, am interested in Alexander Bruszt and, Andrew Steel for the same reasons you mentioned. If we were provided more than headshots, more details about the character itself, I’d be more precise in a specific actor. So, at this time, I’m into Alexander and Andrew. Leaning more toward, Alexander Bruszt.

I am hoping and praying this new blood will give DOOL a much-needed shot in the arm. I just finished watching today’s show and was wondering how Ken Corday could allow the show to get this bad, especially the ridiculous story lines (elephant statues?), horrible acting and even worse dialogue. How many times can we see JJ pull away from Paige when things start getting steamy? The character of Serena is the biggest loss (I’m sorry Melissa Archer. You deserved better). The reporter barging into Will and Sonny’s apartment, screaming his name, insulting Marlena and wanting to look at his computer was over the top, with horrible acting by a day player. Is this the best the casting department could find?

Deidra Hall deserves better. Are we really supposed to think she would not John questions about when Paul was conceived? Unless Paul is over 30 years old, wasn’t J&M already a super couple at that time? The writers are rewriting history all for the sake of making Paul a member of a core family.

The writers have also made Will so unlikeable that it seems everyone is cheering for Paul and Sonny. How are we supposed to be excited about either pairing when we know Freddie Smith is leaving the show.

Molly Burnett is another waste of talent. Ever since she returned, she has delivered her lines like a stoner, rambling with a dazed look on her face. I loved the Melanie years ago and thought Molly was a powerhouse actress, but once again, the writers have destroyed the character.

The show needs to bring in some new characters, but give them some redeeming qualities and have some ties with Salem characters. We have enough bitchy, bad characters. Even the show out with some suspense, a murder trial, a stalker/stranger storyline.

I hate to be so negative about the show, but I feel like NBC is not going to stand behind a show that has a 1.7 rating and continuing to fall. Now is the time to bring back core characters (Phillip, Chloe, Belle, Shawn-Douglas). We need some continuity and not a show with no redeeming qualities.

I think Ken Corday is suffering burnout and doesnt care anymore…i think he’d might want to try other things…i once suggested the same thing about a murder storyline—a copycat Salem Strangular—or who murdered Clyde and a stalker plotline involving Kate and the return of Laura Horton but i doubt any will happen…i hope the return of Kristen and the 50th anniversary will help turn things around but if it doesnt i believe the sands in the hour glass will run out and the show will be cancelled by the end of 2016…i hate to see the show cancelled…ive watched since the first episode in 1965 with some breaks here and there…this started out about a family of doctors but now its become the Dr. Dullniel Jonas hour…sad!!!

    Lol, Mo. Ahhhh, Chandler….so drop-dead-gorgeous!!!!!!
Has anyone noticed that Guy has square-shaped eyes? And that moue he makes with his round mouth makes my hair go grey prematurely….I know, I’m so shallow.
I think the make-up, hair, and wardrobe crew could have done something more appealing for him. Why does he sport this grammar-school-boy haircut? Elongate his eyes somewhat, and for heaven’s sake, take off those grandpa sweaters and shirts!!!!!
But, guys, seriously; there is no redeeming quality about thisWill. I never liked him and I kept comparing him to Chandler. I am wrong, I know that…I never really gave him a chance. I never took to him…it is what it is, I guess. But, he has had ample time to do something with his personality…instead, TPTB decided to make him a cheater, which, may I add, makes me abhor him even more. The real Will is not supposed to be so manipulative, self-centered and egotistical all at the same time. Off with his head !!!!! Kidding, people…LOL.

    Isn’t Xander Australian?

I would like to see more vets, but if this guy can act and they give him a decent story and maybe pair him with Theresa or Anne or even Nicole, it might be a good idea. But if it’s just a stunt to get fans in Australia, then I’m not interested.

Never mind the head shots, we have to see how they look without shirts on because that is what they will be hired for– eye candy, nothing more. They will be lucky it they last as long as Cameron, the last hunky doctor the show had– I really hope these guys aren’t pinning too much hope of making it big in America, based on a short term gig on the lowest ranking soap on the air.

I don’t know how others feel, but I get tired of the characters LITERALLY bumping into each other, like every OTHER episode – it’s sooo overdone and sooo astonishingly corny – I know it’s a small town, I know there are only like 3 sets but honestly, is this the best the writers can do – Nicole bumps into this new guy at “the square” then Nicole bumps into Serena, then Nicole bumps into Eric, then Nicole bumps into someone while texting, does Nicole need glasses or what – and whether they hire an Australian guy or a half Indian half gay Eskimo I don’t really care as long as the person can act. The writers need to get on with it already, and dump that STUPID
elephant story it’s so dragged out (and boring).

I’ve often wondered if the directors and actors mistake the figurative for the literal.

The writing can say “bump into each other” as a way to say they come face to face or meet or run into each other…well, maybe it’s good the writers don’t write “run into each other.” LOL!
