3 August 30th, 2011 FIRST LOOK: The Confirmed Cast of DWTS with AMC’s J.R. Martinez!

Looks like that leak in the short list of contestants who will be appearing on the new season of ABC’s hit ballroom reality show, Dancing with the Stars, was right on the money!

Last night on ABC, the contestants were officially revealed and we can confirm that All My Children’s, J.R. Martinez (Brot) will be trading his Pine Valley police uniform for some dancing shoes! Martinez follows in the footsteps of past AMC colleagues, Susan Lucci, Cameron Mathison and Aiden Turner, who have all appeared on the dance-off competition in previous seasons representing the soaps!

Along with Martinez, and pictured here in this first look photo of the new cast are his competition…Back row of photo: Ron Artest, David Arquette, Martinez, (not pictured, Carson Kressly) Rob Kardashain, Chaz bono Front Row of photo: Ricki Lake, Kristin Cavallari, Chynna Phillips, Nancy Grace, Hope Solo, Elisabetta Canalis.

Watch this dynamic lineup of stars take to the ballroom for the two-hour season premiere of  Dancing with the Stars Monday,  September 19th (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

So who do you think stands a good shot at winning the Mirror Ball Trophy just looking at this group? Who do you think might be the first to go? Of course, we won’t know if the cast is fluid or clumsy till the airshows, but still!
