Months of wondering who was going to fill the role of Marissa Chandler since All My Children’s decision to let-go of Brittany Allen has come to an end.  Word from the AMC show spokesperson today is that the role has been recast with former As the World Turns star Sarah Glendening who played Lucy on the now defunct CBS soap.

Sarah is on contract and will debut on air on the December 20th episode in the role of Marissa, while Brittany Allen’s last airdate will be December 17th.    So what do you think of the casting choice for Marissa?  Let us know.

Marrissa on AMC had to be changed as the role needed an actress with more pizzazz. GOOD LUCK SARAH!

Brittany was doing quite a good job. She also has an exotic look.Sarah hasn’t a memorable look. Too soon to asses how talented she is. I will misss Brittany.

How about just kill the Marissa character off ? It’s not like she would be missed ! I mean Babe was the only Carrey who was popular and also the most hated of the Carreys, yet her death was cheered by fans. Marissa is an useless character created by an incompetent HW who was fired last year for his poor job.

I do NOT like the recast! The first girl they chose was the best Marissa. She was perfect for the part. I have recently found myself not watching taped episodes of AMC.
