I for one enjoy watching Chandler Massey’s acting. I really miss him on Days of Our Lives. I think he’s such a great actor that he’ll exceed in whatever direction he decides to take. I can’t wait to see him appear on the big screen because of his potential. Good luck Chandler!

Good, bad, or a mediocre actor is irrelevant to me when it comes to Chandler…LOL. I just take him all in. He is so absolutely gorgeous, I could just stare at him for hours.

Gosh, DAYS isn’t the same without him. TPTB must have been totally crazy to treat him like crap when he only stated in an informal gathering he was “thinking about going back to school” after his contract would be up by the end of 2013. Those egomaniacs immediately rushed to that total fail of a recast and fired him five months before the end of his contract. That was virtually the end of WilSon, one of the most successful couples and storylines. Since Chandler probably never will return to DAYS after everything that happened, let’s hope that TPTB at least aren’t blind when it comes to seeing that Paul and Sonny are the new couple that’s making things exciting again!

Every single time I pass NewWill on screen, I cringe and wish Chandler was back in the role. I cannot believe that Days execs don’t feel the same way too.

I wouldn’t want him back now. I hear the storyline is beyond awful and dumb. But I wish they hadn’t axed him before he could have been part of the wedding. I would have watched and cried for sure. I stayed well away from it all with the recast. Chandler should have been allowed to stay at least for the duration to finish the storyline’s arc of Will & Sonny getting married. With the recast it just made no sense whatsoever. And I regret that we never got a dance with them before Chandler’s exit.

So excited and what a better way to start out the new year on January 1st to see Chandler on my screen again. He is a gifted actor who touched and touches many hearts with his honesty and acting. I admin a fan page group on Facebook dedicated to him and Freddie called the Chandler Massey and Freddie Smith Fan Page. He will always remain in my heart and so many as the true Will Horton. He is missed my so many as the character he inherited but owns, Will Horton. The best of luck to him always.

I can’t wait either to see him back on screen and what a great way to start the new year! I wish him tons of success with all that he wants to achieve!

And I hope he never considers returning to DAYS. They treated him like crap and besides they massacred Will. I just hope Chandler has no regrets for the time he was on DAYS, because he excelled!

Performance is all about talent, casting and direction: it all come together in the superb role of Chandler as Will H. His role in ’16 Love’ was boring: the chemistry was just not there. Chan in his live interviews is charming, personable, guileless, and earthy: irrespective of who and why someone turns you one, Chan does it for everyone. How much psychoanalysis he has had, to what extent he is enacting his own struggles, nothing matters because as Will H he was as real as it gets. Having said that, While I adore him, and Will miss him, I think a few years at Mandarin, UCLA, and Charon as tutor, will encourage this Adonis to become Achilles…as his Patroclus I await the emerging hero to take down the walls of Troy: that is the role awaiting Chan.

Thanks, Mike, for lighting the last candle: pass my review onto Chan to see if he is up for the serious role of Achilles: then find a ‘Sonny’ to cast as his Patroclus. This role is what Will fill his acting roles to his personality: Achilles is blond and built, but pouty, has tantrums, is jealous, possessive, strong, brave and fearless…go for it Chan…

Although not on screen much in the movie Angels in Stardust when he was Chandler was very charming. Loved him. Looking forward to seeing him tonight on NBC!

This feels like the best news I’ve heard in quite awhile (perhaps that’s a bit pathetic). Every time I see NuWill on the screen, I can’t help thinking that Chandler would convert the same exact repulsive dialogue into captivating magic with just the right inflection, gesture, or timing. As Will, Chandler gave the impression of not acting, but instead actually seemed to be experiencing the events on the screen in the moment. It is criminal that for months while secretly casting Chandler’s replacement, the show wasted Chandler’s talent upon complete drivel, when there were so many wonderful stories he could have portrayed. Shame on Days for planning months in advance of firing Chandler to embarrass him at the Emmy Awards, as his reward for earning the show unprecedented acclaim. It’s hard to keep a good man down, so it’s impossible not to believe that Chandler will thrive.

Very nicely said! I agree with all you said. Chandler will bounce back from this odious behaviour that he had to endure. Shame on DAYS indeed to have had the need to destroy something that was working. I’m glad Chandler is far far away from the show now. I hope he gets decent job offers – his talent and range is obvious. Don’t want to see him being type-cast. But his studies are equally important and he’ll get his time to shine and thrive in due time for sure!

This is a little off-topic, but the funny thing is that the actor playing NuChad, Billy Flynn, seems to be doing a remarkable job. I rather enjoyed Casey Deidrick’s portrayal of Chad, whom I found completely engaging and likeable, even in his supposedly anti-social moments.

NuChad, however, seems to be adding a surprisingly nuanced style to the otherwise dreary lines, making the character far more three-dimensional than I realized the character could be. Seeing him repeatedly smile at the most unusual times (much like Chandler), and respond to vitriol with outwardly-appearing kindness has been completely disarming and quite charming.

For example, in the 10-08-2014 episode at 21:53, NuChad says goodbye by kissing “Will” on the top of the head. That gesture could not have been in the script. This portrayal is intruiguing because you can never really tell with certainty when he is joking or being serious, or exactly what his character’s true motivations are. He has greatly improved a character which I did not even realize needed improving.

The point of this is, although it feels like heresy to say so, I think I could lived happily with Billy Flynn playing NuWill instead of NuChad, after dying his hair Brady blonde, of course. I easily could picture him as fitting in well with Sonny, Will’s family, and throwing stuff right back in Sami’s face. If the producers had taken their time with the recast, and allowed Chandler to leave with dignity and honor, they could have done exactly this without the apparent destruction of morale which seemingly encouraged Allison Sweeney and James Scott to throw in the towel.

Since we will never know how that scenario might have worked out, please don’t shoot me for suggesting this.

I like Billy Flynn too. I hope the writers don’t make Chad out to be bad.

Hey guys, give the show a break: they gave Chan a fabulous 4-year experience (from a mop-haired adolescent to a muscular, butch, swaggering, crew-cut stud: went from boxers to briefs, and hair on his chest), and then he was unfaithful: he declared to the world audience he was leaving for a new boyfriend…before telling the boyfriend (and then there was Bryan: Will and Chan are very, very jealous in real life and on screen…recall Sammi’s boyfriends: Chan is even jealous of Christian) The producers sulked, stomped, threw dishes, and is/are now dating a new Guy. This was a first-love for Chandler: all first loves must disappoint because we ultimately think they are not the idealized, perfect, monogamous, angelic, ever-forgiving partner. In any event the producers are notoriously fickle…turn around and there is a new guy/gal…they were dating behind Will’s black jeans.

That Guy does not make the grade, they will go back to playing the field: recall Chan reassures Sonny that everything that happened that first knight, he wanted…now he is off to experiment: admittedly Guy is not as snuggly, tender, histrionic, nor sexy as the blue-eyed Adonis, quand même, Sonny would do better with Paul-the-hunk/flit as a transition relationship.

One must mourn a first-love: no new love will ever be as wonderful, so start to mourn Chan: the show is giving you a gift, the chance to lose a love and how you will do differently the next time, and not screw around with Bryan, Paul et al.

We do not know why Will was booted from CA: we don’t know what bed those green shorts slept in: when you take the boy out of the country, you take the country out of the boy…California will do it every time.
