126 February 4th, 2018 GENERAL HOSPITAL: Anna Reveals She Had A Child With Faison, But Is It Henrik or Someone Else?

Courtesy/ABC

General Hospital confirmed a bombshell revelation that had been highly-suspected by fans of the series.  Last week, following Faison’s (Anders Hove) death, Anna (Finola Hughes) visited him at the hospital morgue.  Once alone with her nemesis, she takes a lock of his hair with a scalpel, pockets it, and reveals that she had his child!

In a moment later, that was actually all in Anna’s mind, Faison wakes up and grabs her and asks if the child is Henrik? As of now it’s left unanswered, However, all roads seems to lead to Henrick being the son of Anna and Faison.

But not so fast! In this week’s issue of Soap Opera Digest on Newsstands now, GH co-head writer, Shelly Altman previewed that Anna has become very curious to figure it out. Altman says on Anna’s plight: “She doesn’t know whether this son of Faison’s is the child she gave birth to, but the idea that these two people could be one and the same is alarming to her.”

As to what’s next, Altman teased: “We will find out the back-story, and how this all came to pass – and why Anna has reason to think that this history would never need to be known, and that she could move on, having had this child, without making it a part of her daily life.”

As viewers saw, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) revealed himself in key scenes with Faison to be the son who was treated like garbage by the nefarious criminal, and who now basically holds all the cards via the flash drive to Drew (Billy Miller) getting his memories back, or does he?

Watch the scene where Anna goes to the morgue to reveal her secret to a dead Faison after the jump.  Then let us know, will Anna turn out to be Henrik’s mother, or will there be a twist? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

So you mean to tell me that Wyatt is actually Patty Halliwell’s son who just happen to came out from the womb of what we all thought to be his mother, Piper, who actually turned out to be a sister who unknowingly carried the child of her mother, which also happens to be her brother?

    Whoah boy.

*Hopefully anyone got the reference. hahaha

Rose McGowan is beyond irritating. Cause or no cause I just don’t like how she comes off. She managed to say, quite bluntly, that she didn’t like her Charmed co-star, Alyssa Milano and proceeded to discredit her. Who knows the truth behind any of these personal attacks but it just comes off so petty.

Which brings me to another thing…I have been known to say (as I think most of us have) how much I “love” an actor whether on a soap or otherwise. I submit a retraction…I don’t know ANY of these actors or what their real selves are like…only what they want to portray to fans. So, I might love the character they played and the way they portrayed it. I “loved” Nathan…have no clue what Ryan is like beyond his tweets and interviews. I just said that I “love” Milo Ventimiglia…but really, I loved every character he’s played and am currently madly in love with “Jack” from “This Is Us.”

    But I digress… :)

    rose replied

Rebecca1…I think we all “love” actors at one time or another. Probably based on the characters they play. But after wiki-ing a few of them I don’t do that much anymore because sometimes I can change my mind based on what wiki says. And if i don’t like it, I can never enjoy their performances again without their thinking about what their “real selves” are like.

As for Rose, she does have her own style whether you like her or not. It can be a little much for me as well. But she has been a major force behind the MeToo movement. I saw her do an interview on The View the other day. She has obviously been affected by the abuse and rape she says she suffered. It is even the reason she cut all of her hair off. Or she is a very good actress.

And speaking of not being bbf’s with some of your co-stars, just heard Kim Cattrall said she “was never friends” with her costars on Sex and the City. Jessica referred to Kim as an acting colleague.

Also some ptb are thinking of a reboot of “Charmed.”

    Harry replied

Rebecca, what you say about loving actors is how I feel about hating actors.
Of course, it’s not the actor I hate when I rant and rave about how much I hate (fill in blank) because I don’t know the actor who plays the character.
I hate Sonny but he seems perfectly lovely in interviews. Most notably, he was charming and vulnerable when Oprah Winfrey interviewed him on her show. And sometimes I hate certain choices actors make (lip chewing, adolescent posturing in a fifty year old woman, mumbling, sighing, shrieking, grabbing one’s temple, etc). I have no idea who Rose McGowan is as I never watched “Charmed.”

    rebecca1 replied

    Hi Rose

Yes, I know that McGowan is very strong in the “me too” movement. Still don’t like her. Whenever I’ve seen/heard her interviewed she comes off very harsh, cold. Of course if I actually KNEW her I might actually like her, but from the aforementioned I just don’t take to her. We may share certain viewpoints with public people but that doesn’t always translate into “big hug.”

I don’t really get a sense of an actor from wikipedia; it’s usually just their resume/accomplishments, personal background. But in reading interviews, anywhere…here, magazines, etc. or seeing a taped interview I always find it disheartening if I don’t like the actor I’ve been “crushin’ on.” :) I do not want to dislike Sam Heughan! Thankfully, whatever I’ve read has been fun/pleasant but I don’t want to delve too far; would ruin the series for me if I was disappointed. Like…so funny…but I love Game of Thrones and Kit Harrington. Don’t know if you watch but he is THE heartthrob of the show and is THE hero…the guy that can do no wrong…just swoon-worthy on every level. And then I just saw in the news where he got kicked out of a Manhattan pub for being drunk and messing up a pool game. I mean…it’s JON SNOW!!!!! And then…lil Kit getting booted from a bar. Sigh… have to block out his “humanity” to get back into his character! (not that there’s anything wrong with getting “tipsy” and booted..but it was just so ordinary. I could have walked into that place that night. I want to imagine him behind the Wall battling the walkers!!!! ;)

I think I’ve looked at some of these soap actors Twitter pages maybe a total of ten times. There are some that are so juvenile and argumentative that it’s cringe-worthy; others block people on a dime for one comment they deem offensive while others engage in dialog even if others disagree with them. I like the latter. The others seem too full of themselves and forget that they’re where they are because we watch them.

I think in the older generation’s days..think Clark Gable…when the Academy Awards were a big deal and you’d see all the footage of these celebs getting out of their cars and they were all just mystical, magical film “stars” the fans in that generation had less of a look at the real people behind the masks (no Faison pun intended) and were able to hold on to the glamour.

I’m not too fond of a behind-the-scenes look either. I don’t want to go on a set. I don’t want to see the camera inches away from, let’s say, the nurses station on GH. Just ruins it for me. Maybe AFTER a show is done it’d be interesting to see where it all happened but while it’s still ongoing, I’d rather the “make-believe” remain so.

As for Kim Cattrell, yeah, she’s made it quite known that Sarah Jessica Parker is not one of her favorite people. See what I mean? It’s such a different “reality” than their BFF relationship on Sex and the City that it would have been a distraction if I’d know that when I was watching it. I guess it’s a tribute to all these people who can’t stand each other but manage to covey love, friendship, etc on the screen.

    rebecca1 replied

    Hey, Harry…

I realize you don’t hate the actor because you hate the character. I think, if I remember correctly that you really have like Roger in the past but just aren’t a fan of Franco. I get it. Don’t agree as you know, but I get it. It’s definitely a tribute to an actor’s skill if we can love him/her on one show and not on another because we’re so lost in the character.

It’s just interesting…our ability to suspend disbelief. I look at Tamara and I don’t see Carly; I see Kim. I look at Tyler on DOOL and I don’t see Nicolas, I see Stefan O. Etc, etc..and, of course, we can love them on one show but not on another.

But really what I meant was the overuse of the word “love” when speaking of feelings toward an actor. I really love their acting and perhaps their looks. As for the actual person…they’re just like anyone else. Love some…and then there’s all the others….not so much.

And whether you support a particular cause or not, or the personalities promoting them, it does take their “star” power and or money to get the attention to battle the Weinsteins of the world, etc. And just because they have the money you say Rose and Uma have that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t “bitch.” They just live in a ifferent kind of world.

feb 2nd eppi : Anna rights her position with Sonny. thank god. as she walks out and doesn’t give him a response. worked

Sonny seems to be a little bit flippant , suave, dismissive. every since Jason made it home. so the treat of seeing at least Anna putting him in his place

course.. @GH , is trying to give us humble pie… for Sonny boy. as his dad comes back to town… and according to the latest SOD issue… something befalls Sonny and it’s a tragic turn

it took Anna a long long long time to get over Duke. and I MISS HIM. I truly hope FV doesn’t get his way and they just end any thing going on with Finn.

    Shay replied

Yes, Harry, I’ve noticed it and it makes me sick…Poor, adorable Finn is such a clueless nice guy swept up in his pining for Anna that he has yet to catch on…I guess his status as a recovering drug addict kinda, sorta, gives him enough of a nasty edge cred to get those ever-present Alexis juices flowing on overdrive, but I certainly hope that Finn’s character isn’t degraded and served up on a platter as the next sacrificial Davis boytoy to provide this sexually-voracious termagant another notch on her seriously-pitted bedpost. Better for her to just return to Charlie’s and conspiculously drool and lust over its punky-hunk proprietor, whilst simultaneously running her pathetically ridiculous campaign for mayor….that should be enough screentime for this ingnominious creature for now.

    Shay replied

P.S. By the way, loved, loved, LOVED! Ned’s campaign ad against Alexis….so very true it was! #QuartermaineOrBust!!!!

    rebecca1 replied

    Hey Har…

Not sure if they’re fliriting…if they are it’s two ways from what I see. But, rather, I think they’re allowing these characters to FINALLY befriend someone other than the small circles they inhabit. It makes perfect sense for Finn and Alexis to become friends as they bond over addiction and get to swap stories at the meetings. I think it’s nice… And, both like to speak in ironies and wit so I think they play well off each other. I like their friendship!

    Harry replied

Shay, correct me if I am over reaching here, but I think you might not care for the character Alexis Davis? I am pretty adept at picking up on subtle cues.
I once loved Alexis. Loved her when she first appeared in Port Charles and had to use a paper back to breathe in and out of it for her anxiety attacks. She was quirky, funny, stuffy, frazzled–like a female Frazier Krane. But watching her fall for one bad boy after another while acting like a virgin for the very first time became redundant, tiresome even. The first time she fell into bed with Sonny it was interesting and kind of touching to watch the buttoned-up, Oxford Law school girl give into her wild desires. But then they played this same song over and over until it seemed that Alexis, as a character, became a one trick pony.
The Julian debacle was the nail in the coffin for me. It was hard to watch Alexis lecture her daughters about staying away from bad boys and harder still to watch her defend Julian when Anna came after him for ordering the hit on Duke. Worst yet, Alexis was cruel and insensitive to Anna while being protective and sensitive to Julian. And so it’s somewhat wince inducing to watch Alexis flirt with Finn when she knows there is a romance brewing between he and Anna. I think Alexis should be the kind of character who subscribes to the mantra,”Sisterhood is Powerful” but she does not. I really wanted Laura to be the one running for mayor. Laura, who overcame victimhood to become a strong and empowered survivor, would have been amazing. Right now, I am on Team Ned.

    Shay replied

@Harry…You are most gifted in the art of perception! Why, yes, Alexis definitely ranks as one of my all-time least favorite GH characters, and her placement has shot ever more progressively toward the top of that list with each passing day. (Along with Nina….) Quite frankly, I was never taken with this woman and her snooty sense of condescending moral superiority, but in recent years she has become utterly unbearable, especially given her own immense personal failings. I used to simply ignore her or ff through her scenes, however, as she’s become ever more inexplicably omnipresent on the GH canvas, that often means skipping near-entire episodes…which may not be a problem anyway, if current trends continue in the direction they appear to be heading. Having said that, I’m in total agreement that Laura was the perfect person to be the next mayor of Port Charles….such a deserved position would have brought this beloved legacy character full-circle for those of us who so nostalgically recall her poignantly triumphant return to the soap just as her purported widower, Luke, took the reins of the city back in the ‘80’s. (I recently watched that landmark episode, along with many other superb historical L&L moments, on YouTube, and Laura was every bit as luminous and legendary as I remembered…yet, it was admittedly very strange to revisit such a likable and charismatic Luke given the abhorrent, repulsive nature of his latter day persona! It truly made one wonder how he could have gone so horribly wrong from his glory days….) At any rate, there are really only a few femmes—in addition to Laura—-that I could logically envision in the mayor’s office and that would be the now-departed Tracy Quartermaine, Anna Devane or even Diane Miller, were she not involved with her cuddly mobman Max. All three ladies rate as total dynamos and could bring the necessary passion, brains and uniquely personal capabilities to the job. (And, of course, Dr. O. would have made a fantastic “dark—-very dark—-horse candidate” for the position!) But failing these few fantastic females entering the fray, I have to concur that Ned is the only game in town that remains for the good people of Port Chuck! #QuartermaineOrBust!!!

Faison is dead and it shows just how awful these writers are. Instead of writing an ongoing story for Jason and Drew with Faison as the villain who still has a goal to achieve with the two of them, he is brought back, not even lured back by Jason, but for something totally unrelated, Nathan, and he’s dead in a couple of episodes.

Instead of using the great villainous Faison and providing some real intrigue for Jason, Drew and others he’s gone.

Now I’m sure Van Etten and Altman think they’ve done something brilliant here, using Faison’s brief return and death as a catalyst for other stories; Nathan’s death, giving Kevin his brain for yet another try to make Franco relevant and to prop him up, and of course now to rewrite Anna’s character and give her Faison’s spawn. And that spawn who will likely turn out to be Heinrich, is just another Newbie who will be manufactured into relevance.

It isn’t brilliant, because like RC before them and with anything that happens under Valentini, the priorities are all wrong, the drama is light, characters that fans would want to see are marginalized or killed off and Veteran characters are ruined.

Giving Anna a child with Faison is so beyond disgusting. I can’t see many long time fans wanting to see that. The thought of Anna with Faison is just revolting. If consensual it is disgusting if she was forced/assaulted it is even more revolting.

This is pure Frank, was Carlivati and Van Etten is their protege. They have no respect for the 55 year legacy they have been given and they have no respect for long time fans. They won’t be satisfied until they ruin everything that long time fans have loved and keep pushing trash like Franco and preying on shippers and fan bases with nonsense like Friz, Julexis, Killy, Jasam and whatever else.

Van Etten is already showing his inner RC. He’s snarky on twitter, although five months later he only has 2300 followers so he isn’t as witty or interesting as he thinks he is. He has Kevin walking around with a brain in a jar and he’s in the process of just ruining Anna.

It would be a miracle if these writers could come up with an original story and figure out how to take GH forward without constantly having to rewrite the work of the very talented writers who came before them.

    Very well written!
I tuned out after they let Genie Francis go, but this is preposterous!
It’s another re-write of history! I remember when Finola first appeared on GH and have followed her stories.
There is NO way that Anna Devane would allow Faison to touch her and now she’s suddenly had his child???
i know there were visa issues with the guy who plays Faison so he could not be in the US long term, but they could have done block taping.
It would have been more interesting to make Finn his son and not another newbie.
Anyone BUT Anna could have been his mother.
This would have also been the time to bring Robert back to town and have him confront Faison.
That would have used a lot of history.
And it would have been brilliant to resurrect Duke at this time. Maybe Faison had him.

This storyline is another reason to tune out!

Unless this is written right with keeping Anna’s history intact, the one we saw on screen and loved,no Anna Devane fan will accept this. The timeline and how Anna came to have Faison’s child is of upmost important to us loyal Anna fans and GH viewers who have kept tuning in to watch her story on screen since her conception. We will not accept a child born before Robin, it was clear and forever captured on film that Robert was the first man Anna slept with. So hope GH has done their homework on this matter. We also won’t accept Anna willingly sleeping with Faison and then walking away from a child of that union, never looking back, this is not Anna. Anna kept Robin despite all her enemies so giving up a child of hers regardless the father better be good. There is a lot of missing time in Anna’s life, my best pick would have been when she was kidnapped by Faison and kept captive on that tanker. But hey that would be too easy. I’d even accept the time between after she had Robin in Italy and the day she showed up at the bar in New York to meet up with Robert. Yes Anna was free during those years, Robert did not turn her in. But at what cost did Faison grant her freedom, that too could be explored. I have loved watching GH these past few months, the addition of the new writer Chris Van Etten, has greatly improved the show. I love that he loves writing for Anna and based on his twitter tweets it looks like he is diligently doing his homework on her. Researching and watching old clips from her history, my hopes so he will get things right. So I leave with this do it right GH don’t embellish on Anna’s history by tearing down and destroying her past. We Anna fans will not be a happy bunch if this is done and right now we are watching the show.

You could tell just from her face that she really enjoyed being with Finn. I thought the kiss he gave her on New Years in her house was HOT and I so wanted them to take it on up the stairs which looked like where they were heading if not for Anna’s stall. Anna’s been alone for so long it was nice for her to finally have someone again. See I’m an Anna and Finn cheerleader and supporter, not sure if that’s the response you were looking for.
After a year of “Justice for Duke” which to me was Justice uncalled for, I was glad to see Anna put that horrid time completely behind her and find someone to love. Not only does Finn make her laugh and smile but he was even willing to take on Faison for her.
Anna is scared more than anything right now over and above the secret she kept so many years of a child. She’s scared that everyone she’s ever loved she’s lost so pushing Finn away like she did was so in character for her. Hope she doesn’t push him away too long and he’s there to support her when her secret comes out. May 2018 be the year of FAnna.

I agree with your sentiment. I am still hoping though that Anna was already pregnant during the time she was kidnapped by Faison, during the early 1990s and the baby is hers and Robert.

Tina… I completely agree with you on Anna and Finn; have loved their coupling from the start for just the reasons you gave. I wasn’t a Finn/Hayden fan and if they do bring her back at some point with Finn’s child I’m hoping it doesn’t come between Anna and Finn if they finally get real.

I disagree though about Anna’s history. i’m curious to see if Peter/Heinrich is hers with Faison and how they weave the story. If they can add without detracting I’m all for it.

Hey Rebecca! We agree once again. I was not a huge fan of Hayden’s either.
I didn’t hate her, I was merely apathetic about her.
I do detest this Faison story as I am tired of new writers trying to erode the steadfast strength and stoicism of the great Anna Devane in order to prop up the newbies who still have not found their footing.
Finala Hughes will rise above it as she always does but I am tired of watching her act apologetic to folks who owe HER a huge apology.

    Harry…

I don’t know…I was disappointed in the Faison story only because he was on for a blink of the eye and then gone. Forever it seems. As for Anna, I’m in the “wait and see” category as to where they’re taking this story. So far, I’m enjoying it. There’s absolutely no way Anna can be exactly as she was when Scorpio, Frisco, Sean Donnelly, Holly, “Casey the Alien” ;) , Tiffany, etc were around. Those days are gone. Now, Anna is older, has a chronic illness and is no longer an international/traveling spy! I accept that…sadly…but, ya know, we can never go home again….

I do like that they’re keeping Anna in the forefront even with all that’s been lost. They’re giving her romance/flirtation, they’ve given her an interesting history with Valentin, and now a long-lost child. That’s okay by me. There are only a few times when they change history that I get pissed…like when Michael FINALLY got to know and love AJ and has FINALLY heard AJ’s side…and then the writers go back to Carly and Sonny saying AJ pushed her down the stairs and she lost the baby…and Michael agrees and “understands” their point. Seeing red is an understatement!!!!

Give Franco a brain tumor? (A cureable one, too!) I thought that was a great way to make him human regardless of James Franco’s rendition. If the writers had left the character when James left the show, I’d say leave him as the mad man. But since they did go the Roger/Franco route, it was an innovative way…the only way…to redeem him. So, in that case I didn’t mind the “twist” to that story.

Anna and Faison? I don’t think they’re giving them a back “love” story. So, it’ll fit in with the established history and add another Devane to the show. I have a feeling Peter/Henrik is going to fall for Maxi and crave the family he never had…

Ummmm…I’m glad we find some places we agree. :) Here’s one: Did you notice that Jordan has suddenly taken on a British aspect to her statements??? Anna: You disapprove of Finn in my life, YA? Jordan: We’ll talk later, YA? Drives me crazy!!!!

However, I will miss the whole Faison & Anna situation, it was such a great matchup & stroyline. Let’s hope it’s not “really” over…

So many problems with this show…

~ Faison’s brain was removed without shaving his head or leaving any scars? Did they use Dr. Hfuhruhurr’s cranial screw-top method?

~ Faison knew he had a son but he didn’t know it was with Anna? How is this even a thing? We are seriously supposed to buy into criminal mastermind Faison being obsessed with Anna for decades yet somehow never connecting the fact that the random son he just happened to know about might have been conceived with her? Um, no.

~ Faison recognized Peter when he entered his hospital room and knew he was his son but made no indication that he recognized Peter when he was in Peter’s office at Crimson. Huh?

~ Nina tries to burst into Faison’s room but when she gets there is stopped by a guard, yet later Peter just waltzes in and withholds the call button from his father with nary a guard in sight. *sigh* Plot driven writing is insulting to my intelligence.

~ Does anybody else have the feeling that it is going to be revealed that Ryan didn’t die and has taken Kevin’s place and once the switch is revealed Kevin will go to Europe to live with Laura and that will be the last we see of them?

~ Off topic but why is Carly being all judgy about Nelle having been in a mental institution when she and her sainted son Morgan were both patients at Shadybrook and her husband is bi-polar? And should a woman whose husband is a mobster who killed her son’s father really be taking the moral high road and calling out Nelle’s violent streak?

~ It may just be me but Wes Ramsey just doesn’t have the screen presence to sell his character being the offspring of Faison and Anna.

~ My boyfriend womdered why the show had Lulu going all RIVERDALE’s Jughead Jones with the reading of her article over vignettes of the various characters. I’m just wondering why Lulu is still on this show when her infinitely more interesting mother was written out.

~ And finally, I’m guessing that Sonny’s father Mike is going to return to Port Charles with Azheimer’s because this Jason thing is seriously cutting into Sonny’s place in the spotlight as resident saint and series focal point.

Alan, I agree with a lot of your points in your post. This is another futile attempt at a history rewrite (Anna/Faison). The PCPD and their guards are inept in most scenes. The mob solves most of the crimes in Port Charles and takes down most of the criminals. Carly also spent time in a sanitarium, I believe, and you are right about her “saint” of a son and husband. “Parking Lot Pete” (Wes Ramsey) remains flat to me. Of course anyone that shares screen time with the insipid Lulu irritates me. I wish that Lulu sped off to help Spencer alongside Laura.

yeah, I brought up the nepotism card. OK that’s done. I do not , like how this show continually focus , on the Corinthos

the proof was all their… with all the solid acting done in and around Nathan death. now that was emmy.. with emotions ALL over the place.

so… Faison shot the wrong one ? son
so… Faison doesn’t have his and Anna lovechild.. he wouldn’t have treated him like he did.

Peter / Heinrik acting is not their… he rings up hallow and empty.

I TRULY was surprised that Anna knew all along… that SHE HAS A CHILD… out their. that’s the secret ? and ? knowing that Faison is the biological father?

this dark journey for Anna will be all that and complete. which as I’ve posted… if it’s true that Wes Ramsey was hired… and IF he’s the son of Anna… well … it’s not that hard to figure out…

Finola Hughes is doing all the work…after the fact.. all Wes Ramsey has to do is give Anna the puppy dog treatment with shared abuse story and BAM Wes Ramsey has a free ride and can enjoy his 1 year contract.

Given that Faison is/was(?) an expert in hypnosis, he could have had his way with Anna and impregnated her years ago wiithout her even initially realizing it…….she could have found out her child and its origins much later either through WSB records or repressed memory therapy. I’m not saying I would necessarily wish this to be the case, but there are enough spaces of time in Anna’s backstory to allow for such a scenario.

Exactly….I meant as much, Shay, when I said Anna was “out-of-it” and was violated, by Faison.
    I don’t know anything about Kevin’s backstory….had no idea he had a brother…LIGHTBULB!!!!!
Could Kevin, actually, be his brother? ( Ryan, is it?)……I mean, this sibling was mentally unstable? Was he capable of killing the real Kevin and impersonating him? All this time? Am I speaking gibberish???? It’s ok, you can tell me—-I can take a one-two-punch, Shay….
Oh, if Kevin turns out to be his brother, let’s go all the way, here…..Mr Hyde may want to implant the brain in the jar into someone?
On the other hand, if it is, indeed , the real Kevin, could the brain be his brother’s or vice versa???

    Celia replied

    Hi, Shay,
….Just thinking, as I re-read Mr. Fairman’s intro, if Peter were Faison’s and Anna’s son, would Faison not treat him as gold? …..Afterall, Faison IS/WAS obsessed with her; thus, any issue of her womb would be a treasure, nor “garbage”, I would think…..
…..nonetheless, I repeat: we did have a long discussion about Griffin, when he showed up in PC, with his long, beautiful locks and face, that I did not think he was Duke’s?…..Faison in a Duke mask, as he made love to Anna?….that somehow he and Nathan were brothers?……..Hmmmmm. Yet, Peter is still a strong contender…..as I said from the get-go.
Two possibilities: Faison in Duke mask ‘loving’ Anna, where she realized it was Faison, or, Faison ‘taking’ what he wanted from her……the mind gallops, amica mia…..

    Shay replied

@CeeCee….There are so many holes in this scenario, that we could debate them until the cows come home, but yes, if Peter, Peter Parking Meter were truly Anna’s offspring, I should think that Cesar would have named him “Crown Prince of Faison”….and treated him accordingly. So there is one mystery yet to be addressed. Also, I cannot imagine Anna abandoning her own progeny, no matter how monsterous the man who made her with child…she would have likely taken Liesl’s path to protect her son…provided she were actually aware of his existence..so the question that begs to be asked is what did she know and when did she know it? Is Heinrik hers or is there another illegitimate Faison issue out there somewhere? The notion that the beloved Robin could be that product of a forced assignation with Cesar is simply too horrific to contemplate, especially since her place in GH lore as a Scorpio is practically carved in stone….for those of us who viewed her journey to Port Charles as the sainted Filomena Soltini’s purported little granddaughter to ultimately being revealed as the actual offspring of WSB heroes, Robert and Anna, it would be unthinkable and unforgivable to burden this young woman who has triumped over so much adversity in her life with such an ignoble bloodline. (Not that I would put it past the current showrunners from attempting such a stunt…..) Having said that, I’m in favor of a third candidate as the Faison-fathered figure….I should hope it shall not be Griffin…perhaps it’s not even a “he,” but a “she?” How about Dr. Nero??? That would explain a lot about her sudden appearance and suspicious addition to the GH mix…or maybe we have yet to meet this phantom child….you know how much Frank loves to spring his newbie characters on the already crowded Port Charles canvas….I know, let’s overthink this some more, CeeCeeGirl…Lol.

I suppose TPTB needed a ‘chunk’ of Faison, since ‘they’ would be killing off Nathan.
You have a point…..who knows if there is another child? Griffin? I don’t want to bore you by repeating myself….but, there still is a viable chance….I hope that’s the case. He fits the bill….
Peter is too tall. Faison ‘was’ not a tall man….and, Anna is sooo petite…fragile, almost, albeit we know she can kick a$$.
Again, Shay, there’s not a big age difference between Kim and Anna….but, it is another world, is it not??

Finola being a boss in acting doesn’t mean it’s enough. The story needs to be good too and acceptable to most long term Classic fans. I hate to say it because I love watching the acting on the show but TPTB have taken advantage far too long of the fact that fans will watch just to see some great acting and their fave characters. When they write said characters OOC and give them stories that twist every piece of their history out of shape to make it work (when they easily could have taken a piece of history that would fit so much better AND please fans) I have to wonder whether it’s worth it to watch. Why is the intent by TPTB so twisted and wrong?

@Harry and CeeCee……So Kevin’s twin brother met his end at the hands of a clown? How very Stephen King…”Beep, beep, Ryan!” Although I was not watching GH religiously during the days of the Chamberlain-Collins tale, I do recall certain creepy scenes of the two and Dr. Collins’ subsequent role in various storylines on Port Charles, but if there’s any creative license to convolute these disparate characters into a present-day mindmeld, then it will happen. Hence should Ryan have indeed met his maker way back when in that high-budget amusement park scenario, then we are probably looking at yet another example of Faison’s memory-mapping ala The Two Jasons…probably the prototype case, in fact, and it may have just been reactivated. Either way, the prospect of Laura under the same roof as party and spouse to this bizarre human experiment is highly-disturbing, to say the least….and could explain why she was so handily dispatched to Paris, although I’m still not liking it!

(Alas, as much as I desire her to have indeed birthed another daughter, it seems pretty obvious by now that Peter is her son by Faison….just another case of the GH showrunners trying to turn a storyline into a “brainteaser” when it’s really just a “no-brainer!”) Hence it looks as though Anna shall be stuck with Parking Lot Peter as her problematic progeny! (How about that look he shot Valentin at Nathan’s funeral???…Chilling!) At any rate, I love your gran’s sense of imagination….seems you come by yours honestly there, CeeCeeGirl! Before I post on the absurdity of a Devane/Faison offspring, let’s take a look at this overused storyline. The Never Before Mentioned Child Syndrome has been used with various degrees of believability on GH through the years:

    Monica/Dawn
    Laura/Nikolas
    Bobbie/Carly
    Alexis/Sam
    Holly/Ethan
    Connie/Trey
    Heather/Franco

I might be forgetting some. Dawn was a dud. Nik and Sam probably made the most sense time period wise. Bobbie and Holly were supposedly devastated that they could never have children. Connie created another personality to forget Trey. Fitting Franco in the Heather/Scott timeline was just another forced way for the audience to accept Franco.

Everything seems to be sooo convoluted, all around….Peter, Faison, Anna, Andrew, Jason….this brain ” switch” is so out of the realm of reality that we either go along with it, or bust…aha!!
    It’s extraterrestrial…..or Frankenstein-esque…
As we both questioned…. how could Sam not ‘know’ her newfound husband did not have the same body-parts as Jason? You even equated the ‘situation’ with fake-Jack and Phyllis. Remember??
What is in store for Franco? I honestly do not know how he fits into any of the stories…..unless he and Drew are not over….in the past tense, that is. Why else would digging into Franco’s brain become so relevant? Did Faison ( or fake-Kevin) ‘switch’ Franco’s memories, as well?…..or performed an ‘ectomy’ (brain) altogether, and gave him another’s?

    Jimmy replied

What bothers me is that Franco is a terrible character and always had been, just like Nina, and yet the writers see more value in keeping Roger Howarth and Michelle Stafford around than Genie Francis. That to me is ludicrous because of how important Laura is to the canvas.

    heidi replied

    Yes… Kim would be better!

    rebecca1 replied

Tamara Braun (Kim) is only about eleven years younger than Finola Hughes. I can see child/parent relationships if the actors look years apart even if they’re close in age in reality. For example, although Kelly Monaco is only about 8 years younger than William DeVry, to my eye she looks young enough to be his daughter. Tamara doesn’t look that much younger, to me…than Finola. I guess it’s subjective but Kim being Anna’s daughter would be a stretch for me.

Personally, I like Peter/Heinrich and though he, too, is close in age to Anna I think he has a baby face and would be believable to me as a man in his 30s.

As for core characters, Oscar is a Quartermaine so he’s tied to a whole host of characters now; by extension so is Kim.

    rebecca1 replied

oops! correction…one that makes more sense to me now. Wes Ramsey (Peter/Henric) is only 40 in real life thus 18 years younger than Finola…which explains why he looked younger to me than Finola!

We never saw Faison actually die. It happened off screen at the end of an episode, caused by going into cardiac arrest when he was talking with Peter. So how are we supposed to know for sure that he actually died, and wasn’t replaced by someone else?

My theory with the lack of scars on his head is that the man who died isn’t Faison at all – it’s someone that Faison (or possibly a very much alive Helena) hired to impersonate him, and is wearing a mask to look like Faison. Helena or Faison could have also hired the doctor to remove the man’s brain and put the mask on him so that it would appear that Faison is dead. This will be the way the writers explain that Faison is still alive, when he inevitably returns.

Yes, it’s convoluted, but that’s what GH has become these days. And personally, I just can’t see why they would give Anna a child with Faison if they don’t plan to have him return one day.

Well if they don’t want to pay Anders Hove’s salary anymore then possibly they think they can replace him with this Peter/Henrik dude. That’s sort of FV’s territory and he doesn’t have a good record on bringing our faves back, especially lately with Genie.

Sigh…I’m enjoying the stories…the lot of them…and going along for the ride. Longtime viewer/fan, but I find the twists and turns fun. To stick to history as many want/remember would mean the show might as well go into reruns.

There’s nothing wrong with adding to history. So…if you don’t remember something happened or you remember something a certain way…many times they’re ADDING history that we’re just finding out about now. IF Anna had a child with Faison, it’s not changing history…it’s adding to what they never told us before. Works for me!

I think, here at least, we’re in the minority. History tampering is a big no-no. LOL…s’okay. Rides are fun! ;)

No, Faison is not dead. This supposes individual who is alleged to be the son of both Anna and Faison is not so. There will be a chain of events that will take place there is definitely another individual who will turn out to be the son of Anna and Faison, Stay tuned!

I don’t watch much, but Anna having a son with Faison kills GH. Anna had an affair with Faison years ago, but now a son, The real joke would be Faison hated the child of the women he desired for years ? I like Finn with Anna, which is something because I am Scorpio all the way. Maybe its just I dislike so many of the characters, maybe this couple is a last chance for me. Laura screwed again,. No thanks. Alexis as mayor, yea sure, the mob lawyer, who filed the adoption papers for Michael knowing they were signed because AJ was hung up and threatened by the mob boss saint. I still hate. Right now this show has no redeeming stories that I care about. TOOO much mob for me. Carly taking another child, looking to get Nellle’s . I would watch if I thought Nelle could really , really stick it to Carly. She is a saint compared to the first Carly.

@janet……..That sums it up quite succinctly! Just when I thought this soap was finally getting its act together after years of having lost its heart and soul, we’re back to the same convoluted mob-centric mess that GH was before the re-emphasis upon legacy characters that initially seemed to be happening with Steve Burton’s return. Now that the situation has suddenly done a U-turn with Laura’s abrupt departure and more of the same old, same old forcefeeding of long-failed characters and more unappealing newbies, I’m once again fed-up with this show….especially due to the utter contempt I harbor for the current frontburnered lineup of players (i.e., Sonny, Carly, Ava, Nina, Franco and Julian) that we simply cannot escape—-no matter what! Anna and Finn are just about the only bright spots for me (other than Dr. O…) and the showrunners appear intent upon ruining that promising couple, as well, by what looks to be the siccing of old reliable floozy Alexis on his unsuspecting form….so she gets to usurp Anna’s man and Laura’s place in the mayoral race in one fell swoop? Um, thanks, but no thanks…I’ll take a pass!!!!

Maybe Anna’s secret child is Damian Spinelli? Here’s the soap opera logic: (1) If it’s someone previously known to her, then that leaves it open to a lot of what if’s such as what might Anna have been able to do to influence Damian NOT to have ever worked for Sonny? (2) Spinelli is intelligent as is Anna, and as was Faison. (3) Spinelli like Anna walks the line between law abiding and breaking the law. Sometimes he is more one and sometimes more the other. (4) He is close in age to Robin and both were raised in part by women believed to be their grandmothers. Spinelli’s died (as I recall) shortly after he first was introduced. Nothing was ever said about who Spinelli’s parents were or what happened to them. Robin was raised in part as a very young child by a woman who she thought was her grandmother, Filomena Soltini.

I like your theory, however Anna Devane, super spy, would never willingly carry a child of Cesar Faison. If Spinelli were the long-lost child of Anna and Robert, that would be hilarious— and make him Mac’s nephew.

    Hoo boy.

What happened to this show? Just a month ago I wrote in praise of Chris Van Etten and the stories he and his team were presenting… and now we find out that Anna has a love child with Faison? Nathan is dead? Sonny’s boring dad is back? and yeah, I am sure that Kevin is really Ryan (there’s no other reason for it to come up so many times in the past couple weeks other than to remind old viewers and introduce new viewers to a character that we thought had died in the mid 90s).. and so forth.

I guess I can kind of sort of handle Anna having a child that had after Faison forced himself on her… but good God, please let it not be Henrick, he is dull beyond belief. I’m sure the actor is a decent person who loves his dog and brushes his teeth but he’s a terrible terrible actor … the casting on this show has really been off the past few months (like that terrible Russian doctor who was so bad that I laughed out loud every time he was on and tried to do a Russian accent. ) If Anna is going to have a secret child, hopefully it’s Kim. That would be completely OK.

But Nelle starting to gaslight Carly? I am so on board with that.

Anyway, I try not to get too hung up on the occasional misstep, but this past couple weeks, GH has seemed to have taken a sharp right turn from where it was headed just a month ago.

I’ve been watching GH since I was a little boy, back in the 1960′s with my Mom. Ok, I still love GH, but YOU have to come out with it, Please please let Anna know that Henrik is actually the Boy that She delivered and not a girl. Also, how is it that Valentin is so young that he was actually there when Anna gave birth about 30 years ago, only in Soap Opera Land is this possible. Also, please get Maxie and Lulu back to being Friends, because Lulu seems to help hold Maxie together. I think, Peter aka Henrik will come into her life somehow. But please reveal that Anna is actually Peter aka Henrik’s Mother. Valentin is playing a dirty game and hopefully he will get his just rewards.

    Hi Mark,

I, too, would love for Anna to find out that Henrik/Peter is her son. I’m sure she will…when is the question. And, why is Valentin lying to her…did he raise Peter? Faison rejected him so perhaps Valentin was keeping tabs on him…since he was in love with Anna.

And, Valentin is not that much younger than Anna. I’m not sure how old either is supposed to be in the show but in real life James Patrick Stewart (Valentin) is almost 50. And they were peers back in the WSB days so it works…

Actually, I hope that Drew discovers who he really is and that somehow he remembers Franco and how they were friends when they were little. I know somehow Kim and Julian belong together and please put Finn back with Anna, they were so good together, or bring back Hayden with Finn’s baby.

    Anna is Kim’s mother.

Faison’s son and the Traitor are NOT the same person. Yeah, Peter August is Faison’s son and Nathan is also his son, but that’s simply an aside.

Valentin said Anna had a daughter and the plot never said the Traitor was a male.

Drew disappeared from the Navy Seals in San Diego around the same time Jason was ‘killed”. Coincidentally right after he met Dr. Kim Nero. Peter August and Kim Nero showed up in PC at about the same time – around the time when Jason was escaping and then finally free from the clinic in Russia.

Kim was working for her Dad, Faison, and her half brother Peter to create a sleeper hit man. But she fell in love and became pregnant. But was it with Drew or Jason? Remember Jason was never suppose to escape. Instead of following thru on Faison’s orders and killing Jason, she secreted him away to Russia. She’s the Traitor. Oscar is Jason’s son, not Drew’s. It’s also why Kim is not jealous of Sam, Sam is with Drew.

Also, I suspect Peter August is a Cassadine. Product of Helena and Faison.

    Cesar (Caesar)
    August
    Nero.

Think about it!!!! I’m right. ;-)
