138 February 4th, 2015 GENERAL HOSPITAL: Ava Down, Franco Takes Himself On A “Trip” & “There’s A Bomb On The Boat!”

Courtesy/ABC

Tuesday’s episode of ABC’s General Hospital was an absolute wild ride from scene to scene for viewers of the daytime drama series.

So, here we go in a kind of a laundry list of events that transpired:  A badly injured Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was rescued from the basement, just seconds before bomb number one was set to explode in the lap of the skeleton Luke-like figure left by Fluke (Tony Geary), by his police partner, Nathan (Ryan Paevey)!

Jake (Billy Miller) is under interrogation from his wife, Sam (Kelly Monaco) at the PCPD! Neither of them has a clue yet of who they are to each other.  Jake continues to have memory flashes including recalling to Sam, he had a flash of the two of them in her bed making love.  He admits he stole the Phoenix figurine, and he admits and come to the moment that he has been under mind control from Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers).  Sam is stunned by the Intel!

Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) decides enough is enough and it’s payback day for Ava Jerome (Maura West) on during their showdown on the bridge, and he shoots her in the chest and she somehow topples over the bridge!  With her life hanging in the balance, and as she holds on for dear life to the scaffolding structure below, Sonny (Maurice Benard) is the one who has to make the decision to let her die or try to save her! Sonny says Connie would want him to help her, and so as he tries to pull her up to safety …  she plummets down to the waters below!

Franco (Roger Howarth) saves Nina (Michelle Stafford) from his nutty mother Heather (Robin Mattson) and her yielding the syringe laced with Diana Taylor-esque LSD!  He gets Heather away from both of them, and it is clear that Franco has feelings for Nina.   But with no where to go since he escaped prison, and to protect Nina from Heather, Franco does the unthinkable and injects himself in the neck with the syringe!

Tracy (Jane Elliot) stumbles upon Fluke chatting it up with Helena Cassadine on the docks!  Is Tracy on to what is going down with her “husband”?  Meanwhile, Lulu (Emme Rylan) left the Haunted Star to try to find Dante, meaning two of the people Fluke wanted to kill the most aren’t on the boat anymore that has the second bomb on it.

Sonny, who is making his way to the Haunted Star to save Michael (Chad Duell) and Lucas  (Ryan Carnes), and left Julian (William deVry) who wanted to recover his sister Ava, comes face to face with Fluke with his gun drawn.

Dante who is recovering at the GH emergency room is tended to by Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and he then utters: “There’s bomb …”  Meanwhile, Jake scream out to Sam: “There’s a bomb on the boat!”

Whew! Lots of action! What was your favorite moment of yesterday’s GH?  What did you think of the episode? What do you hope happens next?  Share your thoughts below!

Right on, jimh! At first I thought perhaps the absence of Monica, Ned and Alice could be explained because these beloved characters were not being put into jeopardy what with the bomb threat, and all….quite frankly, I was expecting a big KABOOM!!! and some considerable casualties, not to mention at least a few well-chosen deaths. (Do I need to name names??? I think not….LOL.) Imagine my immense disappointment when no massive explosion broke up the party…..there was the perfect opportunity to clean the overcrowded GH house, and it was totally squandered. Talk about a huge letdown….

    Jeremy replied

Ned was home with the flu. Go figure. haha-ha
Can’t wait to see what “excuse” they give for Monica.

    downtownla replied

great point! where was Monica? I don’t know how much soap actors make, but could it be more than $5,000 (or $1,000 a day for five days) to have her there? Did they really need to have Ivy or Sabrina sharing a scene? I know Frank Valenti is supposed to be great with the budget, but sometimes you cut a little to close to the bone and it affects the quality of the show. It starts to look skimpy or cheap or incomplete. Case in point.

    Reply

    Shay replied

@downtownla….As far as I’m concerned, there’s never a need for Sappy to be part of a scene…..which is why the show runners have to jump through hoops to invent them! I’m getting the same feeling with Ivy….talk about an underwhelming introduction! And yet Britt, of all characters, was the one to be sent away…..

    Rebecca1 replied

Britt wasn’t sent away, Shay. The actress chose to pursue other genres…they could recast but I can’t see anyone else in the role…at least not yet.

    Jeremy replied

@ aria – exactly! I thought the same thing, too. It’s makes no sense that Monica has yet to make an appearance at the waterfront project thing, for AJ and to be there with Michael. For some time now, I feel like the writers are anti-Monica. Monica is no longer chief of staff, and late last year we saw her sporadically date Judge Walters. I think we last saw her on the Christmas episode? WTH!

    Reply

    Shay replied

@Jeremy….I guess Monica was out with “Da Judge” again. Seeing that the other “Danny Granny,” Alexis, was hanging out at Chez Quartermaine with the ailing Ned and there was no mention of the tyke, it would seem he must have been at home with “Aunt Molly.” Of course, Ms. Davis was preoccupied with her weepy French chick flick and omnipresent thoughts of Julian….and speaking of Mr. Jerome, I love the way that wanton woman couldn’t high-tail it fast enough over to GH to see her erstwhile lover. (Oh, how I wish Fluke had used that puffed-up pillow to extinguish her obnoxious gob!)

    jimh(leave it to beaver) replied

They will say Monica was away at a medical convention or Monica caught Neds flu, and maybe she caught the flu from Ned after they secretly resumed their decades old affair…lol…just joking!!!

    Jeremy replied

@ jimh – Now, if GH did have Monica and Ned re-kindle that old affair, I would excuse both for not being at the waterfront project. hahaha- they were getting it on, then they spread the flu.

I’m open to that! Can you imagine if they did that, and then Tracy finds out!!! oh my lord!!! I say, GH, do that!!!! We need some Quartermaine drama in… Monica’s house.

    Christy replied

I didn’t get that it that the party was to honor AJ, but rather to celebrate the Elm Street renovations/revitalization, which the last idea, after everything else (i.e. the old Brownstone) was revamped, would be the clinic, which is just at an idea point right now. Which it’s really odd to be hiring staff when the old place hasn’t been torn down, and the new clinic hasn’t been designed nor built yet.

but hey, Michael will not have to pay for demo now! ha!

Monica would most likely be at a ribbon cutting and celebration for the opening or dedication of the clinic (if that ever happens now).

Agree that it was one WILD episode. SO many surprises that I never saw coming – Franco injecting himself w/LSD, Carlos actually shooting Ava (he’s a lousy shot BTW), Julian shooting Johnny (lousy shot, also, but he’s excused because he was injured & at a weird angle), Ava slipping out of Sonny’s grasp, Sonny-Julian BFF time, Tracy seeing Luke w/Helena, Sam getting the whole story out of Jake (YEAH!) & understanding more than he does, & Sonny finding Luke…MORE! I want MORE!

I think it’s budget cutting and not having the legacy characters show up much anymore. GH has no real iconic family with the way they’ve had the Quartermains resolve. I still think they need the gold old Buchanans, including Viki, from OLTL to move to Port Charles and become a prominent family in PC.

    Max Daddee replied

I mean with the way they’ve had the Quartermains dissolve, not resolve…

Yeah, I hate that they don’t use Monica (and other remaining Quartermaines) more regularly.

    Reply

    Rebecca1 replied

It is ridiculous and very noticeable when Monica and Ned aren’t at a party in honor of both Michael and AJ. Michael, at this point anyway, considers himself a Quartermaine, is opening a clinic in honor of AJ’s memory, with ELQ funds. There’s no way they wouldn’t have been there. I understand budget cuts and in the end it’s the profit that will either keep GH on the air or the lack thereof that will get it cancelled…but two key players for two days doesn’t make or break the budget. They’ve done this before at party scenes…chopped down the cast and filled the room with extras…totally interferes with the overall authenticity of the event and for me, enjoyment.

    Nick D. replied

I had the same thought: Monica should be here. Usually they’re pretty good about details like that but they missed “the boat” on this one (pun intended!).

But, it is for the greater good, as he sees it. The point is, his actions will not only keep him in the same location as Nina, but it will save him prison time…..he will have drastic mental issues, yes?

Better question…how did Heather get her hands on the needle…Franco wouldnt have gotten in so easily…a worker wouldve came to Nina to tell her she has a visitor…no one seems to be around to check them…i was in one of those places so i shouldve know…lol…at the police station no one really would have such easy access to an alleged criminal Jake such as Sam or Patrick…civilians come and go too easily at the PC jail!!!

    Rebecca1 replied

I’m sure it was LSD…Heather always manages the impossible. If it weren’t real, we wouldn’t see Franco having hallucinations. I’m sure they’ll test his blood to monitor the dose…who knows..maybe he and Olivia will start sharing visions…

this is going to be sooo good..
ONLY Roger Howarth could do Franco and now perform a acid trip..
RH was perfect choice the perfect fit to portray Franco, none other could do it..

Now the question is; is there really LSD in the syringe or was Heather bluffing??

side note;; Heather always reminds me of Betty Davis in ”Whatever Happened to Baby Jane” she is soooo Jane..

Oh, I think it’s LSD….all the psychedelic colors. The viewer saw that phenomenon. Franco was trippin’, man!…LOL.
the question is: in what nether world does Heather have access to such a drug?…..any drug?
Bette Davis? Yeah, with a little bit of BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN thrown in. I wonder why she and Helena never conspired together….would have made a great pair. Anna Marie Hahn and Belle Gunness….two of the most diabolical, murdering women ever !! Ugh.

    Nick D. replied

Franco taking the LSD was a brilliant twist on Ron’s part. It’s also one of the most romantic things anyone has done on the show in a long time in terms of making a life-changing sacrifice for someone they care about. Franco and Nina are truly the couple to root for these days.

    Reply

    CeeCee replied

I have been rooting for Nina and Franco from the minute they met. The furtive looks, the blushing on Nina’s part, the easy banter and camaraderie between them, the Sparks, their body language…..everything bespoke of an undercurrent of passion and romance.

    Shay replied

As far as I’m concerned, the words “brilliant” and “LSD” should never be used in the same breath….I was appalled by this grandstanding act by Franco, although I don’t doubt it will provide a plethora of new opportunities for RoHo to display his talent for off-the-wall, outre’ antics. Hence, while I can appreciate the creative possibilities this latest plotline provides, I have absolutely no use for the motivation behind the madness….I simply cannot fathom the overwhelming obsession to pair MS’s grating failure of a scenery-chewing character with Franco, let alone his selfless need to save her….we’ve seen this before with Carly, and she was not nearly as worthless and undeserving of this man’s devotion as the Cray Clay….what is the justification for this tiresome woman to continue to exist? First we had to deal with her torturous, ridiculous backstory and introduction to the GH canvas, then all of her revenge nonsense and revolting baby snatching scheme….it was an immense waste of time and other characters’ talents having to bolster this inane nutter and her heinous, histrionic behavior. Placing her in the same facility as the homicidal Heather was the perfect scenario for ridding Port Charles of her presence once and for all….why then have we been further subjected to this waste of space whack-a-doo, especially as part of an extremely contrived, so not epic love story set in a loony bin? A couple to “root for?” I think NOT!!!!!

  3. jimh(leave it to beaver) says:

It was a good entertaining episode as long as you overlook stupid moments like Dante wasting time phoning Lulu when he shouldve dialed 911 or the police station…It wouldve been better had Nathan rescued the corpse and left Dante behind to blowup in that house…Dante’s Inferno…kidding!!!…lol

I’m up with the baby again. She’s developing really bad habits. LOL. later.

    Shay replied

@CeeCee….I love RoHo’s Franco, too….I just wish he hadn’t gone to such self-destructive lengths to be next to his latest, ahem…”beloved.” ‘Twould have been far better for his maniacal mama to inject him with her “magic potion,” particularly since she is already shouldering the blame for doing just that. While I have no doubt we shall be treated to a Howarth performance of epic proportions, I am still dismayed at the repeatedly casual use of this terrifying hallucinogen on GH…with it comes a lifelong sentence of insidious side effects, so I cannot take amusement in its incorporation into storylines. Having said that, I’m sorry your little angel is being so contrary….she sounds like a “night person!” LOL….By the way, what is the name you have bestowed upon this little princess???? I hope you don’t mind my asking….we already know that her big brother is the adorable Nico…..

    CeeCee replied

    @Shay.
    Hi there,
While I very much agree with you emphatically disliking the repeated introduction of LSD by TPTB, you must admit that it is so ridiculous; we can’t help but be amused. It’s farcical….we all know that. The question is whether Franco is faking it or not? It is a serious matter…people would jump off buildings in the 60′s/70′s….I’ve been told many a story.
I think Franco may be faking it and Nina is buying it. She will catch on though; my girl is pretty sharp, when normal. LOL. I wish it were as easy for him to get a pardon from that imbecile of a governor (bonehead) as it was for Sonny, the slick.

You may definitely ask, Shay……Our Little girl’s name is Rosalba; which in Italian translates to ‘pink dawn’. We combined my mother’s name…Rose; and my mother-in-law’s….Alba.

    Shay replied

“Rosalba”……what a unique, thoughtful name for your daughter…and a wonderful, enduring tribute to her undoubtedly proud grandmothers! It sounds so beautiful and regal when voiced… conjuring images of a principessa or contessa! I’m sure she’s as lovely as a “pink dawn!” How very befitting for a precious little girl!!! It’s obvious that she is a most treasured child…along with her big brother! I share that attitude…life is to be respected and well-guarded….maybe that’s why I’m so vehement in my anti-drug stance. I realize this is just a soap–and one certainly prone to farce, at that—but Heather’s fixation with LSD has gone on for decades….in the beginning, at least her fascination only resulted in self-harm, hence, there was a moral dimension to that storyline. (Ms. Webber hasn’t been right in the head since then…LOL.) It is the repeated reliance on this old chestnut of a brain scrambler that turns me off…..I cringed when Olivia was victimized by the same substance, and even though her “visions” made for good drama, I remained appalled. Now that she may be (hint, hint….) “with child” herself, I certainly hope there will not be any dangerous ramifications for her unborn baby. As for Franco, he is more than enough of a goofball without additional chemical enhancement….while I would like to think that his latest stunt was just that—a mere sleight of hand—it would seem that he’d have been closely monitored for levels of this poison in his system, therefore, such a wish may prove fruitless. Then again, this is “soapland,” as you so succinctly put it in another post. Only time will tell the true tale of this tortured, yet talented, man-child’s mind bending journey.

    CeeCee replied

    @Shay.
Yes, the LSD thing is a farce, albeit drug use , of any kind, very serious matter. It sort of gives me pause that a mental patient is able to get her hands on anything, even cigarettes.
This may come as a surprise, but I never got into that stuff. It was just embedded in my head by my parents. Besides the fact, that I never had the urge or followed the crowd.
TPTB should be cautious since tweens do watch soaps. I know I did. So, some of the fare in Soapland could be tamed somewhat.
Then again, I do derive amusement from Heather. However, I’m an adult, and as such, I can weed out the bad from the good.
Thank you, Shay. My husband and I really thought long and hard to come up with a name for our baby that would make both grandmothers happy. Later.

    Shay replied

@CeeCee….I also derive immense amusement from Heather….I always have, as Robin Mattson has long been one of GH’s greatest villainesses. I just wish “she” (meaning the writers….) had been a bit more inventive in her crazy schemes these last few times around. However, no matter what sort of material “Ms. Webber” is handed, RM delivers it with much relish and aplomb….I eagerly await each and every one of her returns. As for your upbringing, it sounds very much like my own. I also was most fortunate to have parents who not only provided wonderful guidance through what they instructed, but by their own fine examples, as well. I never had the slightest interest in taking part in any sort of self-destructive behavior, and simply cannot abide or fathom those who do. It certainly never impeded my sense of fun or enjoyment….and at least I can remember all of it, as if it were yesterday! Hence, while I can have as good a sense of humor as the next person when it comes to some bad behaviors portrayed onscreen, I do think the LSD hook has been pushed far too many times on GH. Perhaps another less deleterious substance can be employed in Heather’s hijinks of the future, especially, as you say, there are impressionable youth who tune into this show. (And I should know….my soap viewing also began in my tweener years.) Oh, and you are most welcome regarding my thoughts on your creative choice of name for your little girl…..it’s quite beautiful and timeless….I’m sure she will wear it well throughout a long and wonderful life.

    Mike replied

Entertaining episode is right. Another stupid moment that needed to be overlooked was Sam interrogating Jake/Jason for the whole show in a police room she’s not authorized to be in with cops being seen in the window over her shoulder seeing she’s in there and not doing a damn thing about it.

Agreed, Beav, Dante needs a lesson in dialing 911 and letting the police station know where he’s going. He should have had Fluke lead the way downstairs instead of having him handcuff himself to a stair railing.

My favorite moment yesterday was Sam telling Jake/Jason that she wants to help him. And him remembering the bomb. Interesting that despite what he did to her, that she wants to help him. That says she feels a connection of some sort to him at some level.

    Reply

    jimh(leave it to beaver) replied

Actually, Sam shouldnt have been in there with an alleged crime suspect accussed of kidnapping someone and shooting a cop especially since Sam was the victim and not a cop or Jakes lawyer nor would Patrick been able to run in there and attack Jake without some type of charges filed against him…i know its just a soap but sometimes a little reality is needed!!!

    Rebecca1 replied

Well as Sam said Lucky had been mind controlled by Helena as well so it made sense that she wanted to help him. If he was a cold-blooded killer he wouldn’t be admitting to the things he did nor informing her about the bomb. But yes, I think she may have some subconscious feelings or sense of familiarity…

    CeeCee replied

Right, jimh? What civilian walks into a police station, supposedly with more than a handful of cops; makes a beeline into an interrogation room and launches himself at a suspect who is being given the third degree by another civilian who has no legal right doing what she is doing? Children playing cops and robbers, that’s who!…LOL.
Personally, I thought Kelly put in a semblance of emotion into her acting, something I have witnessed for the first time as I find Sam morosely reciting her lines all of the time. But, she seemed to really scrutinize Jake and pay attention to what was on his scrambled mind. The expressions crossing her pretty face were real. I felt her. She was believable….I was impressed.

Ava WILL resurface. I had to laugh again when Helena is supposed to be on “Americas Most Wanted” list and she is in this snow white coat and hat. They did look great together. Snowy white dark creatures…She’s always had a thing for Luke. I’m sticking to one of my two theories…in both scenarios he really is Luke. She fried his mind while he was in miscavage and controls him…which is perfect for her. They always played a deadly cat and mouse game while flirting with each other and danger. This way she owns him and can cozy up to him at will. Second theory…Luke was shot all those years ago and Bill Eckert lived his life all those years…Luke was in witness protection…somehow got twisted around during that period…and came back to avenge the life that was stolen from him…and yes, that would be messing with history but…

I’ve really been frustrated with the writing for Ava as of late. It’s like Ron has decided her made her too bad, and has dialed her back the other way – too far IMO. Maura is so extremely talented, he needs to trust her to reveal her humanity and layers in the beautifully subtle way she does. This whole damsel in distress routine is not her. And I abhor her having to beg Sonny of all people to rescue her. Ava can save herself if Ron writes her true to character. The misogynism is entirely too much.

    Nick D. replied

Interesting point. There’s a lot to be said for the deadly Ava who can hold her own. Around the time she moved in with Sonny I think we started seeing more of this desperate side. I chalk it up mostly to the pregnancy and birth plus having a bounty on her head. I think when Ava resurfaces she will have pulled herself together and once again present herself as a force to be reckoned with.

    Reply

    Melissa replied

That’s all I ask. Ava is my favorite character, and to see her written as some helpless female just really ruins my enjoyment. I will always love Ava no matter how she’s written, because of Maura. And like you said, it’s been this way for a while now, it’s not just this latest example of her hanging off the bridge. I didn’t mind it so much when she was pregnant, but now that she isn’t, I need her to go back to swilling booze and kicking ass.

    Rebecca1 replied

To clarify what I mentioned, Melissa. I have no doubt Ava will resurface…but begging for her life…for help…while shot and hanging off a cliff makes sense to me regardless of how tough she is when not in catastrophe mode.

    CeeCee replied

    Hi, Melissa.
I think we are seeing Ava as a helpless female for the sake of Avery. Her present behavior is so contradictory to her normal tough countenance because she has no choice. She wants to live for her baby, and a mother will beg, steal and go to drastic measures for her child.
I love Maura as well, and I doubt she has just vanished into the deep. To be sure, Ava will emerge sporting a tougher skin, and deliberate determination. So, no worries.

What an awesome episode from start to finish! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, especially with the prison break squad being held at gunpoint by Johnny and Carlos. I was really nervous to see who was going to bite the bullet, and I thought for sure, somehow, it would be Carlos (just because he’s the least important of the characters and it would usher Sabrina off canvas). But it was Ava! And then she fell into the water! I was stunned, and I really hope she comes back soon because Maura West is fabulous, and Ava can’t stay dead for long.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Sonny is actually starting to redeem himself. I thought for sure he’d leave Ava to die, or kill her himself, but he actually tried to help her! And then, he got to the docks in time to hold Fluke at gunpoint! This is definitely Fluke’s final stand IMO, I think the reveal is coming soon!

And I think the answer will be, Fluke is Luke under mind control. What better way for Helena to hurt Luke and his family by having Luke do terrible things to them, all while under her control? Its the ultimate take-down-Spencer once and for all plan for Helena.

The Franco/Nina/Heather scenes were great, and Franco injecting himself with LSD was pure genius. But man, I just want Heather gone! For good! I love Robin Mattson, and she must have such a great time playing the character, but enough is enough with Heather! I was hoping Franco would put a bullet in her.

The Jason/Sam scenes were so intense, I loved it. Sam trying to help Jake instead of punish him and be angry with him was amazing and Billy Miller was absolutely riveting as Jason was getting pieces of his memory back, one at a time. I can’t wait for Jason to regain his full memory. I’m glad he was able to remember the bomb and tell Sam about Helena’s mind control, And I’m excited that this story isn’t going to drag on for months and months. Plus, Billy Miller is outstanding, probably GH’s best recent hire.

But now, what happens next?! We all know Ava will be back, but meanwhile, Johnny and Julian are both wearing bullets, and Johnny’s looked serious! Also, I can’t see Johnny keeping Carlos around for long after knowing he didn’t 100% kill Ava. As far as the Haunted Star goes, I think Sonny will be the one to save the day, as much as I don’t want it to be him. But then, I guess that’s how the writers are going to get him out of his crimes.

The only problem with the episode, I felt like we got a bit cheated with the explosion, I would have loved to actually see it happen. And doesn’t make sense that Dante was the only one who got the brunt of it, Nathan was right beside him! Also, it would have been nice for people to find the corpse in the basement, and to run dental scans or something to ID it so we know who it belonged to. My guess is Bill Eckert because his grave is empty. And since Fluke said “I’m not Faison, I’m not Larry Ashton, I’m not Bill Eckert, I’m Luke Spencer” to Tracy, I feel like he is actually telling the truth. So in that sense, the reveal has already happened LOL.

Overall, it was a great episode and I’m excited to see the rest of the week!

I agree with everything you said especially about the explosion, it was one of the best eppy tht they shown in a while , so many things happened. The only thing I did not like was the new commissioner, maybe he will grow on me, but the first I really was not impressed, and if they are going to put him with Anna hmmm not going to happened. Btw I might be getting the 2 eppisodes mix up, but when they found the bomb on the floating star, and Michael meets up with Sonny and Sonny took the bomb out of Michael hands, and Michael called him dad, luv it

Excellent synopsis, Jimmy! Agree with everything you said…I’ve maintained it’s been the real Luke all along. One of my theories is exact to yours, another is really out there and a stretch. What I find annoying is that everyone is saying Sonny saved everyone. It was Michael who reached for the bomb and saved everyone…Sonny took it to save Michael. I’d hate if Sonny was redeemed in Michael’s eyes…It doesn’t make up for all the years Sonny tortured AJ and ultimately took his life. I want Michael to remember that and remain a Quartermaine..honoring the father that was taken from him twice by the same man. Do I think Michael still loves Sonny? Absolutely. And whatever injuries he sustains Michael will now carry guilt over that, too. No matter…I’d like him to stay a Q and loyal to AJ….

However, did everyone ingest a stupid pill? There was so much stupidity running rampant that they ought to change the name of The Haunted Star to The Ship of Fools.

Of course, Jimmy. I had stated in one or two posts that the only way for Sonny to ‘escape’ spending his life in jail would be for him to be the hero. That is so unfortunate ….he does not deserve it. Alas, ias you say, in order for the character to remain in PC, he must be written as such.

The pity-for-Sonny writing may work for some, but it does not for me. I repeat…a mobster is a mobster is a mobster. This character cannot be redeemed…it would completely change the landscape of GH as we know it.

As far as Sloane is concerned, I am still on the fence about him. Is it possible for him to be working with Nikolas? Is he trying to thwart Fluke’s/Helena’s plans. Perhaps the reason the satanic pair are still sitting in a jail cell.
Helena has shown a modicum of emotion when she thought her grandson’s and great-grandson’s lives were on the line. But, Fluke?….heart of stone, impassive….classic case of a sociopath, lacking any moral obligation.

    CeeCee replied

Correction….the satanic pair IS sitting in a jail cell….not ARE. The subject PAIR is singular….collective noun…. Sorry for the error.
Also, I would like to understand how Sloane could have possibly been Anna’s student in the WSB, she would have been too young, yes? ….. Did I misunderstand?

Interesting to see Michael taking a drink… I wondered if they were setting up that he’s going to be an alcoholic like his dad, after all, isn’t it hereditary? And that would really show that he takes after his father and maybe give motivation as to why Carly has tried to keep him away from AJ all these years, this fear that Michael would be just like AJ… could be a lot of great drama for them all to play.

He takes a drink and you have him an alcoholic? Michael’s been raped, shot at, put in a coma, killed two people, lost AJ and found out his “other” father killed him. If none of those events drove him to drink I think he’s pretty much not going that route…

I surmised awhile ago when Michael was hitting the bottle and cavorting with that floozy, Grossalie, that he was being led down the same disastrous path as his bio-dad, AJ…I certainly hope such will not be not the case, as it would be regrettable to see this fine young man damned to repeat the sins of his father, particularly if he is likewise shouldered with an illegitimate child to a cheap tramp in the form of Grossie…just as AJ was with Carly. Please do not force Michael to relive the mistakes of the past….let him charter his own course in a manner that is befitting of a Quartermaine heir and will do his real family proud.

AS FOR THE EPISODE I THOUGHT HE WAS REALLY FANTASTIC AND SUCH A HEARTACHE FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED. I DID ALOT OF CRYING WATCHING THIS WONDERFUL EPISODE.HOPING NEXT THAT LUKE BECOMES LUKE AGAIN, AND HE AND TRACEY GET ALONG FINE AFTER ALL COMES OUT. I WANT EVERY ONE BECOME A HAPPY FOR A WHILE, AND THAT WHEN THE PAST CHARACTERS COME BACK FOR A WHILE ALSO, BUT, NOT FOR EVER. I LOVE OUR ACTORS AND ACTRESSES AS IS, KNOWING THAT IT WON’T HAPPEN, BUT WITH THE GREAT WRITERS FOR GH, I’M SURE THEIR NEW STORYLINES WILL ALWAYS BE SURPRISES. I HATE TO SEE SOME OF THE CASTS TO LEAVE, BUT, I HOPE THAT WHOMEVER FOLLOWS THEM ON GH DON’T BECOME BORING. I LOVE A LOT OF ACTION. While I can hardly wait to get home and watch it on DVR, I can’t help wondering how the writers are going to get LUKE/ FLUKE out of this….it’s like they wrote him into a corner that he can never work out of.

If this is indeed the so called Swan Song as the actor has decided to leave the show, we may never know the real truth…. look how long this Robin story has dragged on…

Is our flawed, troubled, but beloved Luke really dead…is Fluke a manifestation … whatever the answers are, I hope we get closure to the storyline no matter what the outcome.

On another note, it was great to see Johnny back, I hope AVA is not dead, as I hear she has asked to be released from her contract, and so disappointed Roger Howarth is not on contract and may be leaving as well.

I was still holding out that ABC would get the rights back to Starr, John, and Todd after this Prospect Park mess. In fact when Kristen left I had it in the back of my mind that maybe that was the end game…. they had until March.

agreed. they blew it on the panic, and good aiming on the gun fight, and no panic or rushing on the bombs, which did you notice the timers were rushing forward much faster than the characters. Where was the screaming and panic and fleeing and chaos, and such?

And Dante was nearly at the top of the stairs, but decided to go back down… why? crawl out of the house! Go!

they should have done some slow mo and slow the timers way down and show the characters rushing (on slo mo). I swear the timers hit zero before the characters got up the stairs, and before Michael gave the bomb to Sonny, before Sonny hit the water – and he must have flown off the side of the boat, cuz it didn’t rock the boat.

Well I was wrong about that. But I have another theory–does anyone think Fluke might be Nathan’s father? For some reason when he burst into the room today, I thought that. Helena doesn’t seem to be controlling him–i think she thought he WOULD shoot Nik.

So whoever he is (will he be under arrest–supervised by the new evil Commish?) maybe he’s Nathan’s dad as well…Or he’s a creation Helena cooked up in the lab.

With all due respect, I wish people would stop telling viewers like me, who expect quality entertainment, to just shut up and enjoy it, and take whatever crap is thrown at us. As lifelong soap viewer, I know soaps can do better, and have done much better. I have no fault with the actors. They do their best to act out the drivel that is written for them. My fault lies with self-indulgent writers who have should have retired or been fired LONG ago, but continue to be gainfully employed, and not only that, but keep finding new employment on soaps. Right now, the best writing can be found on Young and the Restless. It is.compelling, character driven, often sophisticated, and respectful of history. That could all change when Pratt arrives, but I am always up for a good.disaster story on a soap to shake things up. And I like when Y and R does them, because they are unexpected and well produced. Second, in terms of quality writing, would be DAYS. I love that this formerly over the top show is now one of the most grounded in reality, but can still pull off some campy old school 80′s type madness. A few bones to pick, like too many newbies, characters talking to themselves too much, and too much Nicole bashing, but I am pleased on the whole. Third would be Bold and Beautiful. Although one thing I dont get…why oh why does every show that Jacob Young acts on tuen his character into a.dark, angry, charmless, bitter hateful man who loses all viability as a romantic.leading man? Jacob is a charming, talented Emmy winner, and yet he gets saddled with these one-note dour characters. I dont get it. This show is, and always has been, roo incestuous for me, and have never gotten its appeal, which is saying a lot that I have listed it third. Last, and certainly least, is GH. Nothing about this show right now could rightfully be called entertainment. The writing is absurd, and asinine, and illogical, it is disrespectful to fans, it is grotesque, and violent, and misogynistic. It is dark, depraved, predictable, and jeuvenile. So, to you all who keep feeling the need to, as deeply disturbed country fans did to the Dixie Chicks, tell me to just “shit up and sing”, I will not shut up and I will “sing” however I want. Your passionate defense of GH is certainly loyal, and I dont come on here telling you to hate it. I come on here to express MY opinions, and you arent going to change them, so trying is futile. I do NOT have ro just accept a crappy GH. I am entitled to watch it if I want, and then post how I feel about it. Nothong will change if no one posts how they feel. I know Cartini doesnt listen to fans at all, but I do know that these posts get read. Ron is all over the net and social media, and thats why he gets hostile and defensive when people criticizehim, and thats why he does the exact opposite. I have three words…Where’s Claire Labine???
