On Friday’s episode of General Hospital there was yet another heart-wrenching performance by Finola Hughes (Anna Devane).
This time Anna’s health is in serious question.
It all comes to together after a series of events unfolded where she was trying to snoop around Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) but ended up passing out. Valentin then whisks Anna to General Hospital, where he seems to care about what happens to her.
Meanwhile “The Good Docs”, Finn (Michael Easton) and Griffin (Matt Cohen), discuss Anna’s condition and they seem to indicate things look very bleak. When they go into her hospital room, they explain to Anna has a blood clot. Finn explains the next step which is to immediately set up a bone marrow biopsy. Confused, but knowing something is wrong, when the doctors ask her some of her other symptoms including migraines and itching, she agrees to schedule the procedure.
Just as Finn seems to be our hero, he starts to get the shakes badly and finds a way to swipe some pills from the drug tray for hospital patients. Will he help save Anna or could his condition put her in jeopardy? Griffin who is becoming emotional, and very worried listens as Anna tell him what happened at her bedside.
When Griffin leaves Anna’s room, he immediately calls Robin (Kimberly McCullough) and tells of his concern for her mother. Later, when speaking with Finn, Griffin utters that they were right not to tell she might have cancer! Episode fades to black.
Elsewhere in the story, Nina (Michelle Stafford) came upon Valentin at Anna’s hospital bedside. Upset, she is confused why Valentin seems so obsessed with Anna, when he claims it’s the other way around. Once alone with Nina, he gives her a ring and pronounces that he loves her. Nina can’t say it back to him for fear it will end up like the rest of her failed relationships. After the duo have sex, alone, Valentin calls GH to find out an update on Anna’s condition.
