101 September 26th, 2013 General Hospital’s Ava and Morgan Have Sex! Carly, Kiki and Michael Stumble Upon Them!

Courtesy/ABC

Are General Hospital’s Maura West (Ava)and Bryan Craig (Morgan) the new hottest on-screen couple in soapdom?  From many posts all over the Internet, it would seem that fans love the chemistry between Ava Jerome and Morgan  Corinthos!

While the set-up was ripe for Ava and Morgan to end up together and under the sheets, after both faced embarrassment at the rejection of the ones they loved, Morgan went for it with Ava and after she slapped the younger man, she could not resist him as he threw caution to the wind!

Think of the fallout if Morgan and Ava continue their relationship, and she uses him and his hatred for his father, Sonny to help topple the Corinthos organization and help the Jeromes rise to power in the Port Charles mob territory?  The best part of this twist,  is that viewers did not have to wait for the key characters it would effect to find out about their tryst!  GH actually had Carly (Laura Wright) find Morgan in Ava’s hotel room, and then on the end of yesterday’s episode had Kiki (Kristen Alderson) and Michael (Chad Duell) walking in on the couple making out in bed!  So now the secret is out and we can go from there, instead of months of Ava and Morgan hiding their “affair”!

So what did you think of Ava and Morgan hooking up? Do you want them to actually be a bonafide couple?  How do you like the way the GH writers handled everybody finding out about their romp so soon?  Comment below!

Joshua, your reply about Chad and Kristen came to me…i know it was by mistake and was meant for suOOOO…no problem…by the way Micheal(who always looks bewildered) and Kiki(wish theyd call her Lauren) are currently my least favorite couple as well…

    Shay replied

While Kiki and Michael may be no great romance, dramatically speaking, the distinction as being one of the worst couplings in soap opera history (not to mention on GH) definitely belongs to “Patrick and Sapprina.” Never have I seen a more contrived, incompatible, repulsive twosome….they have zero chemistry and are just mismatched on every possible level. “Cartini” owes JT a gigantic apology for saddling him with the impossible task of being half of such a disastrous and ridiculous pairing…he never deserved that immense indignity! May he soon be free of the albatross……

    jimh(leave it to beaver) replied

Luke is mentioned in fri. 27th episode…

Just because Chad Duell and Kristen Alderson are dating in real life doesn’t translate to their characters having chemistry … because they don’t. Their one of the worst couplings in soap history (and I have been watching them all for almost 40 years!).

    Mary SF replied

I am responding to what you said about Kiki and Michael being your least favorite couple. The trouble with this pairing is two fold– it happened too fast, one minute they barely knew one another, then had couple accidental looks at each other half naked, one heart to heart and boom they are in love– don’t believe it.
The second problem is the actors are a real life couple– real life couples have lost the sexual tension needed to create chemistry on screen– they are too familiar with each other. When your acting partner isn’t your real partner, and there is a slight attraction to each other, it helps light up the screen– you can’t fake that, no matter how good you are at acting–if you catch my drift.
So like you, they are my least favorite couple on the show right now, with nuLulu and Dante being second.

    Shay replied

So glad that you noticed CD’s “perpetually perplexed” expression…that has long been a pet peeve of mine, and I have mentioned it before….I also became aware that “Morgan” was adopting the same look when he was sharing a scene with “Michael” last week, and I thought…oh great, it’s contagious!!!!! (Or at least a “family trait!’ LOL….)

Loving the chemistry between these two. I love how it is killing Carly, even though she slept with her mother’s husband. But I didn’t realize what a hottie Morgan is until he removed that shirt.

    Shay replied

I second the motion!!!! While I may not exactly use the word “creepy” for Morgan, I am certainly not enthralled with his selfish, vacuous, twerpy behavior either!!! His inexplicable obsession with the below-average Kiki has never made much sense, and as for his liaison with Ava, well, you could see that coming from Day One with her licking those gloss-laden lips and gazing at him with her limpid, hungry eyes whenever he was present…totally wanton she was!!! The entire thing is most distasteful…not even so much for the age differential as the family dynamics and premeditation on Ms. Jerome’s part. I truly am not a fan of “Ava”….while I can appreciate that many are taken with MW’s characterization, I simply find her to be tiresome. She has to be the center of attention in every scene, and that has worn thin…her whole look and mannerisms are now just too cliche’. Despite the perfectly varnished veneer, there is an inherent vulgarity to her voluptuous vanity….the unladylike stances, petulant posing and atrocious arrogance. Plus, the way she constantly pulls those grotesque faces as much as her overly botoxed face will allow just adds to her air of annoyance. Let’s just say the novelty of her anachronistic style has surpassed the expiration date as far as I’m concerned.

Morgan, joining another crime family, to take over his father’s territory will be fascinating. Kiki and Michael together are boring. We can only hope they have more chemistry in real life.

  19. Jared says:

Maura is single-handedly setting this show on fire! If the show wants to do mob stories, then this is how it’s done, IMHO. Put a beautiful, ultra-talented, multi-layered actress in the role of a mafia donna, and let her loose. She makes Carly look like a saint! She eats up the screen, and my eyes are glued. Her expression when Morgan told Kiki he was “hitting the sheets with your mom” made me howl with laughter. Bryan Craig as Morgan is finally coming to life and growing into a formidable role. Give him time, folks. I think he is more than just a pretty face. Chad Duell is wonderful as always. Kiki? Just not working for me. I don’t like or sympathize with this character. I said it before, and I’ll say it again: the ONE LIFE three character switches have been a major disaster. Roger Howarth is such a handsome talent, and he deserves more than to play a redeemed serial killer with an excised brain tumor. I’ll give RC/FV some leeway, but this is getting a little too difficult for even me to watch and not fast forward through. Michael Easton is John McBain for me. Dr. Silas is no different, just John in scrubs. The whole debacle is sickening. Anyway, this is about kudos for Maura and Bryan. Job well done. You got me glued!

As an English major, I infinitely appreciate that also. Bad grammar is my pet peeve. I find it very sad that these soap writers have a problem with subject and verb agreement….the most basic of all grammar rules. They surely need a lesson in the rudiments of English grammar.

  20. Fabian says:

GH should be caught up with the rules of receiving sacraments within the Catholic Church. One cannot just pick a Godmother or Godfather at the last minute. Firstly, these sponsors need to be screened by the Church, secondly, said sponsors need to go through certain programs devised by the church and meet certain criteria. The first sacrament, Baptism, is a very big deal…there is no time to take your baby for a stroll looking for a Godparent….that is too ridiculous to even contemplate . Writers, do you think we are stupid? We Catholics, especially those with children, know what a Christening entails. It takes weeks of preparation, sometimes even before the baby is born…please make your segments a little more believable. This stuff just doesn’t jive!

    Reply

    Jared replied

Agreed. I’m Catholic and sponsoring my niece was quite the big deal. I’m not sure that a non-Catholic can sponsor the Catholic baptism of a child, so Spinelli was correct that he wasn’t qualified, as per the rules of the Catholic faith. Hopefully, Olivia will correct Dante about the rules. I’m not making any faith judgments here, just speaking what I believe to be factual based on my upbringing in the Catholic faith, so no hateful replies please! :) In any event, a soap is all about creating drama, so I figure having the two sponsors/godparents being the biological parents is quite a dramatic twist, so I’m okay with suspension of what I know to be true here. I’m more concerned with that freaking misogynistic jacka$$ Sonny who proclaims to be a Catholic, but he is a greasy thug killer in fancy suits. Anyway, go Ava! I hope you’re finally the one to knock Sonny out of the game. No offense to Mr. Benard, who is a talented handsome lovely man. What the writers could do to redeem Sonny after all these years is to make him a secret agent all this time. How neat would that be!

    Fabian replied

Jared, we are definitely in agreement here. I could not have described the Church better. As far as Ava sleeping with Morgan? Believe me, I could care less if an older woman(cougar) gets it on with a younger man, in this case, boy. It is the fact that he is her son-in-law that I cannot stomach….the idea makes me cringe. Perhaps it is because I have a son-in-law and I truly love him like a son. It is gross…perhaps it’s just me. I also agree with your thoughts on Sonny. He does deserve his just desserts…I have never like him…there’s something about him that turns me off….he’ just a little man (and, I do not mean just physically)…..I liked it better before he came into the picture. Kiki is ok, Michael needs to keep his mouth closed, literally, before he catches flies. Have noticed he looks like a lovelorn puppy? Ava is okay too, we do need spice, only not with her son- in-law…no matter what, that line should never have been crossed. Morgan? I detest his being as much as Sonny. Wah, Wah, Wah….he needs a pacifier and a bottle. Ciao

You guys really expect two gay men to present an accurate picture of anything having to do with church?

You are absolutely wrong, wrong, wrong. Are you sure we are talking about Roman Catholicism here.? I have cousins and uncles (big family) that are priests and nuns. I attended St. Michael’s College, the Catholic campus of the university of Toronto. The Catholic Church is very strict and everything must be approved by the Vatican. I studied theology for 3 years (mandatory) and I know what I am talking about. My own daughter’s Confirmation sponsor was not Catholic and a special dispensation was required. There is no Catholic Church that can make a move without the approval of the Vatican. And, if you are a divorcee’ and was married in the Roman Catholic Church, you cannot remarry in the Church unless your first marriage is annulled or is a widower/widow. No more email, please, you are audacious and bothersome…I feel my blood pressure rising. Thus, sir, I am asking you politely stop emailing me and get a life.

Ladies….Enjoyed all your responses, but I guess this subject has been pretty much exhausted at this point. Let’s just say some things must remain a mystery, and leave it at that! However, I can tell you that “Downton Abbey” strives to be as historically accurate as possible: Julian Fellowes is a real stickler for realistically reflecting the mores and morals of the times in his drama, and as such, employs a number of people to provide the proper research into all facets of his productions. Hence, I do not believe something as major as an important religious tenet of the era would be set aside for the sake of dramatic expediency. In terms of other programs, yes, absolutely, but not this particular one. Hence, there must have been some solid, documented justification for that storyline….I definitely give him the benefit of the doubt.

@Fabian….That issue with the godparents on GH also struck me as odd, but it certainly wasn’t the first time I have seen dramatic liberties taken with “The Church” and its rules. Do you by any chance watch “Downton Abbey?” The reason I ask is because when the late Sybil’s daughter was baptized, her aunt, “Lady Mary” was asked to be godmother, and she questioned whether (as a non-Catholic) she was allowed to fulfill that role….her brother-in-law, Tom, said that as his brother was of the faith and was serving as godfather, that it was permitted. I just thought…”What?” And this was in the 1920′s….I find it hard to believe that such a thing would have ever occurred back then….What is your take on that????

    Reply

    Fabia replied

This is Fabia, not Fabian…sorry about that. I doubt it very much that the fact that the gentleman was of the faith, as it were, would make a difference. I would think that what was meant by that was that because he was a priest, he probably speeded things along since he would have many doors open to him. I also watch DOOL, and the writers on that soap get away with so many untruths as far as Catholic religious rites are concerned. People on that soap marry in the Catholic Church, divorce, then remarry in the Catholic Church again and again. That is a fallacy. Many of my relatives, in the US Italy, Canada and S. Africa were not allowed to remarry in the Church. At the risk of sounding repetitious, there are only two way one can remarry in the CC….1. If someone is widowed or 2. ..if the marriage has been annulled by the Vatican. It has been this way since the Inquisition. Before that, if I am not mistaken, Catholic priests were allowed to marry. After that, I believe, not only could a priest not be allowed to marry, but he must also be celibate. …then again, some churches do what they please and are not infallible. Don’t get me wrong, just because I am a practicing Catholic does not mean I agree with everything the institution represents….I hope I don’t get excommunicated ….lol. However, regardless of all that, I just wish that the writers would do their homework before airing anything as sensitive as someone’s religion and all its protocol. Ciao, FS

    Mary SF replied

This is straight out my parish bulletin from Sunday that lists the requirements for godparents. This is the last clause.

When pastoral circumstances warrant it, one of the godparents may be a baptized non-Catholic.

So yes, it is possible under discretion of the priest, one but only one godparent can be non-Catholic, as long as they were a baptized Christian
The show Downtown Abby was probably using that clause in their script that would allow “Lady Mary” to be godmother.

    Shay replied

To Fabia and Mary SF….Thank you for your input…I’m still not completely clear on this issue, at least as it stands in historical perspective. Obviously, many things have changed within “The Church” in recent years, but even when I was growing up, I was always told that godparents had to both be not just “Catholic” by description, but also practicing and in good standing. Nobody I ever knew that was baptized had godparents who deviated from that rule, hence my confusion. I also find it particularly hard to believe that nearly 100 years ago, the church would have been so easygoing about that requirement…you also have to consider in “Downton” we are speaking of a prominent Anglican, old money family vs. an upstart Irish-Catholic chauffeur/usurper who scandalously married a Lord’s daughter, so this was not a cozy arrangement by any stretch of the imagination. Tensions were high on both sides given the political/religiou/class struggles present in Great Britain at the time. I still find the whole thing strange and questionable…..

    Mary SF replied

Well Shay all I can say is when it comes to fiction, which both Downtown Abbey and General Hospital are– sometimes they take liberties with the truth for the sake of the story. They know most people watching don’t know or don’t care if they are being 100 percent accurate in every detail. And most who do know or care would for the sake of the drama, just let it go, because it is all pretend. These shows strive for enough realism to get by, but is everything historical accurate, probably not.

    k/kay replied

I am enjoying all this information about the Catholic faith just remember though guys on soap operas you can also have plastic surgery and completely look like that other person and no one will know the difference! That’s why I always hate it when they try to bring too much reality into it because they are never accurate they do not do their research. The bottom line is they made Maxie and Spin godparents so they could drop the bomb that it was not Lulu & Dante’s baby.

I disagree. I didn’t like his character at first because he’s not being written as Morgan used to be written. Morgan was loyal to his mom, had a great relationship with Molly, and loved Jax. None of that was addressed upon his return, and that’s what bothered me.

That said, he was great in his scenes with Sonny, both when he asked Sonny not to say anything to Michael, and when Sonny outed him. I can see why he was hired. He’s a solid actor with great range, and he’s not afraid to go for it.

I’ve been watching General Hospital since it’s beginnings a la my Mother and I have never really cared for that the show evolved to the crime syndicate becoming the shows focal point along with it’s cartoon mobsters. It seemed for awhile that we were getting story that brought us back into the hospital arena. Now the Jeromes are back so that the character of Sonny has more story and so that’s show biz. I personally dont care for Maura West. I knew of her but never saw her act- sorry to say but all of her strutting and pouting and plastic surgery does not evoke any stirrings of Marilyn or a femme fetale in my book. If she would just tone it down I might be able to handle it. And the actor who plays Morgan is a kid.and she her age shows next to him. . I feel the same way about this situation as I did when on OlTL they paired Robin Strasser with a very young Nathan Fillion. pretty disgusting. Bryan Craig’s acting ability is growing- I thought his response to Sonny spilling the beans was excellent- very heartfelt and believable (which is more than I can say for Maurice Benard these days). BTW I believe in equal opportunity for male and female regarding May December relationships, but the younger person in the relationship should at least be 25 to 30, not just a year or two beyond legal age with a 45 to 50 yr old. After reading all of the comments above I guess my opinion is in the minority and it makes me wonder. Of course, this is all just my humble opinion, which everyone is entitled to.

My Italian temper and very protective maternal instincts would have gotten the best of me. Maura West is no Siren…her derrière is flat and she has a face to match it. Where is the beauty? I just don’t see it. Unfortunately, men see boobs and are blind to everything else. I know this first hand…they just focus on that spot and do not even bother looking at you in the eye. I must admit though, she is a good actress albeit she has the tendency to over-dramatize. It is very hard to like a character when one has already developed an antipathy from previous soaps (Y&R…Diane). The same applies for the OLTL protagonists. I will always think of them as Star and Todd Manning and John McBain. I really enjoyed when characters from the past started showing up. I wish Sonny would leave. It bothers me to no end to see this new drama once again revolving around him….I deplore any storyline centered around the mob. And yes, GH should think before allowing babies to have sexual relationships with jaded women and men. Each of us is entitled to her/his opinion, but, trust me, yours is in no way humble. No need to be modest. You are very eloquent expressing your pertinent opinion. Kudos to you. Ciao

Ava/Morgan are far from disgusting…So many young men in “real life’ have affairs with much older women. It’s almost a rite of passage…

The actor Bryan Craig who plays Morgan is 22 in reality. In GH he’s almost 20. Maura West (Ava) is only 41 in reality…not mid 40s or 50ish. There are pairings like that quite frequently…and in the public eye from Cher and her Rob Camiletti (sp?) to JLo and her current love…And let’s not even get started on older men/younger women.

We’re not talking about robbing the cradle here. These are two adults both in real life and on screen.

The mother-in-law aspect? You can’t compare a real relationship you my have with your son-in-law whom you might love…see as a son…etc.

Morgan and Kiki’s marriage is only weeks old. There is NO maternal bond either between Ava and her daughter let alone Ava and Morgan!

The entire premise of these two pairing up is what makes this soapy fun and great drama…the conflict between two rival mob families and divided loyalties…I think it’s great!

So many great films have explored this theme… just to name two…The Graduate, Summer of 42…

    Ava is Morgan’s mother-in-law in name only…

And by the way, Carly shouldn’t be so appalled. When she was not that much older than Morgan she seduced, slept with and eventually married her step-father…Bobby’s husband Tony. Oh that karma…

The younger man older woman is not all that uncommon, it is not a terrible thing.
As long as both of are of legal consent age and both want to be together and do together whatever they want to do, it is no big deal and is legal ..
It is more common than some people might believe..
Whatever makes ya happy, go for it, life is short, enjoy!
As Janis Joplin once said; Get it while you can … :)

Rebecca1….. For the umpteenth time, I repeat…I do not care about the age difference. The disgusting part is the fact that Morgan is Ava’s son-in-law..?Get it? Perhaps I am from a different generation, but morals do not change much….I do not want to use foul language and I do apologize to Ms. West (a fellow New Englander), but a loose woman is a loose woman is a loose woman……and Ava is just that. She has neither self-respect nor respect for her daughter. If a young woman such as Kiki could tamp her sexual itchiness for Michael, so could her overly-used mother. No matter what the attraction, no matter the sizzling hot passion (I do see the sparks between them) Ava, as the supposed adult should have truncated any sexual advance Morgan made. The kid’s hormones were and are on a rampage, plus, he was hurt by his father and in a way Kiki, thus he was just getting back at everyone. He is as much Ava’s victim as the next person. Peace…ciao

@Fabia….I like your sensibilities, as well as your sense of humor, and I do agree with you, although I also often find myself much on the same page with rebecca1, too! You both tend to analyze and delve into subjects far beyond face value, and I appreciate that quality….it makes for excellent discussion and debate. That being said, we definitely have similar views on Ava….I know I have been critical of her overdone persona from the beginning, and my irritation with her airs and antics have only grown more so since then. While she seems to have found a place in the current scheme of things, I think she has been overused and her value overestimated. And although I understand she is probably going to be around for quite some time, I do hope that we will soon be seeing less of her, as a small bit of Ms. Jerome goes a very long way. To me, she has become an increasingly hackneyed self-caricature , hence, she needs to be trotted out rarely and only when her special type of sideshow is sorely required. Having to put up with her on a regular basis has become just plain tedious. Anyway, while we are on a “brazen hussy rant,” I must also comment on my least favorite character (of all time)….”Nurse Merry Pop-Ins,” aka, “Sabrina.” To anyone who reads my postings, they are already quite aware that I loathe this particular chica, but I have found her even more disgusting as of late, per the big brouhaha about Patrick and his wedding ring. Excuse me, but why is this only an issue NOW? Drake Jr. has made no bones about the fact he still loves/misses his (“late”) wife, and has been hesitant to move on without her. For that reason…among others….his contrived relationship with the “glorified babysitter” has never set well with me, and even though it was apparent early on that she was going to do whatever it took to land him, I really have to question any female who would embark upon a romance, especially a physical one, with a man who remains attached to a symbol of his marriage….widower or whatever. To me, that is just beyond tacky! Yet little Sappy has been painted as some sort of angel of mercy. Also, what kind of example is she setting for that child she has practically claimed as her own? I know many of her “sleepovers” at the Drake house supposedly have been coordinated with Emma’s absences, but given some of the kiddo’s utterances to which we have been “treated,” it’s painfully obvious that she has some inkling about the goings on between her father and favorite nanny! (If for no other reason than “Uncle Felix” has filled her in….another bugaboo, as far as I’m concerned!) Just something which has appalled me for awhile, and today’s episode provided an entrée to address it.

What can I say, Shay, that has not already been so eloquently said by you? Tu es magnifique!!!! Hi Shay!

Well, this soap forum is becoming quite the roundtable! And I thank you for your comments. But………..I beg to differ………on Sabrina. ;)

While I’m not crazy about her, it’s because she’s boring. The writers have missed the boat on this character. She’s nice. Plain and simple…nice.

When she was introduced I compared her to Ugly Betty…if anyone is familiar with that show. But Betty was interesting! Fun! Funny! Poignant, kind, intelligent, wise…there was just so much depth to her. The only comparison that panned out with Sabrina was the not-so-ugly duckling turned beauty…hiding behind huge glasses. When they decided to showcase Sabrina’s prettiness, I thought perhaps they’d also unleash some fabulous, dynamic woman! But she’s stayed bland.

I don’t think that there’s an evil bone in her body though. I don’t see her as someone who did “whatever it took to land Patick.” If anything she had no confidence, kept her “crush” to herself…and took quite the back seat as well as abuse from Brit.

I find her a great comfort to little Emma, I think she truly loves the little girl, I think she respected Patrick’s mourning period…so I was quite happy when she finally found her way toward him.

As for the ring and her not saying anything…she’s the type that “let’s things go,” doesn’t like to stir up trouble..hopes for the best. I just think she thought that eventually Patrick would be ready to take it off, and she didn’t want to pressure him. She’s never tried to replace Robin either with Patrick or Emma…she’s only spoken kindly of Robin, and respected boundaries.

As for “sleepovers,” Patrick is a well-rounded, well-respected, highly moral, educated man. He took the time for Emma to know Sabrina. Sabrina loves Emma, and loves her father with Sabrina (in the belief that her mommy is in Heaven). So I see nothing wrong with Sabrina staying over at Patricks; it’s by his invitation and he’s made them a little family.

It’s a shame they didn’t give Sabrina more personality. Then there’d be a real conflict when Robin came back. Sabrina’s been a lifeline…offering support, love, kindness…mothering Emma, but the dynamic has always been missing.

Not ‘Sabrina’s” fault. She can’t help it if her creators concentrated so much on her whether her glasses were on or off that they forgot to give her …a personality!

@Fabia….Thank you for your kind words…I have very much enjoyed reading your delightful comments, too. Please continue posting, as it is always a pleasure to share opinions and observations with those who also pay proper respect and adherence to the English language! (Hey, we all get those from time to time….LOL!) Anyway, I hope to see more of your passionate pronouncements very soon….GH certainly has provided fertile fodder to spur our imaginations and reactions! Buena sera! (Did I get that correct???)

    rebecca1 replied

Yes, Fabia…I do get it. If you read my entire psot you will notice I addressed the mother-in-law issue, which I believe is a non issue in this fictional circumstance. Morgan and Kiki have only been married a few weeks. Ava is a con woman, a mob woman…she was never introduced with morals. She never looked upon Morgan as a son-in-law…he was a means to an end in her war with Sonny. Morgan never saw her as a mother-in-law…but as a means to an end to get to Kiki. There is no “family bond” between Morgan and Ava. Thus, it’s just a younger/man older/woman story with great twists and turns.

If Ava “truncated” Morgan’s advances as you put it…where’s the story? It’s a soap opera, LOL…and that’s whet they’re made of!

Mary SF… I respectfully respond and this will be the last I will say on it. Everyone must be sick of this already. I never said a non-Catholic could not be Godfather/Godmother to a child. What I said was that he or she would need special dispensation from the Church. My argument is that baby Connie’s Godparents were picked the same day as the Christening….that is never done. The priest must know at least the names of the Godparents ahead of time. There is a certain protocol to be followed. If I may paraphrase I remember Lulu saying that Dante had gone out with the baby looking for a Godfather…..c’mon now….that is ridiculous. The first thing you do when planning to baptize your baby is choose Godparents. You just do not wake up the day of the Baptism and say to yourself, “oh, gee, my baby’s christening is today…oops, but I don’t have any Godparents”….. This is how this whole thing started. Now, I am tired talking about it. Does anyone else have any input? ‘Night y’all

Hi Fabia, –I wasn’t responding to your post, but Shay’s who wanted to know how on Downtown Abbey a non Catholic could be a godparent, so I offered him a possible explanation.
I never disagreed with you. As a Catholic myself, I know they took liberties with how the Church really does the sacrament of baptism, but the show is fiction and a soap, so you shouldn’t be surprised that they did.
When it comes to religion soaps have always have enough elements to make it somewhat realistic, but in the end the drama is more important than being 100 percent accurate. – they know most people don’t know or don’t care if they fudge some details for the sake of the story.
I have seen some pretty far fetched things myself on soaps, not just about religion about a lot of things and sometimes a viewer I just have to say something– you did in this case, which was great- and that is why these websites exist, do give viewers a place, to rant, to moan, to jeer, or cheer, our favorite soaps. So welcome to this site, and I look forward to reading many more posts from you in the future.

@Shay….Thank you very much! I appreciate your kind words and you were only off by one letter in your spelling of BUONA SERA. That was very good. It is believed that the Italian language is easy to learn given the fact that one pronounces every letter as it appears. However, its grammar is most difficult and one must really master the language to speak it fluently. It is also believed that Spanish is very close to Italian….while this may be true (similar words), Italian grammar is synonimous to the French. Here I go……all I needed was a tiny fissure to open the floodgates….I could go on forever , but I will stop.
You think you’re new at this? A few months ago, I didn’t even know how to get online. My son practically forced me to to learn……if I can call it that; I am still a novice.
I must agree with you in that soaps do take many liberties, as you put it, in many storylines. I have more or less calmed down……I would get so frustrated when I felt the writers did not know what they were talking about…
Anyway, I do have a pertinent question about GH….. do you think Britt’s baby is Patrick’s or Dante’s and Lulu’s?

The entire premise was to seek some kind of sick revenge by Britt’s mother(Faizon’s (sp) order) against Anna……so this is quite plausible. When Britt’s sexual encounter with Patrick failed to produce conception, she was forced by her mother to do the unthinkable. Britt’s mother( her name is not coming to me) may have performed the procedure herself and implanted Britt with the Falconetti’s fertilized egg. Well, it could have happened that way, no? Don’t laugh….lol… I must be boring you and I will get you out of your misery….ha ha…I do wonder though, if anyone else suspects this…I am looking forward to see how all this unfolds…ciao

Grazie@Fabia!! So right you are….my bad! I knew better than that, but I guess my fatigue took over my brain when I attempted to put on my “Italian Thinking Cap!” Having studied both Spanish and French, I can attest to your assertions about how being familiar with more than one romance language can throw you off….at first you consider it to be a benefit, but it is actually easier to jumble up your words and pronunciations under those circumstances! As for Italian, I never took formal lessons, but simply picked up some of the vocabulary along way….probably due to my culinary interests. (Delizioso!) Oh well…live and learn!!! In terms of your new online experience, good for you….you seem to be taking to it like a duck to water!!! It’s never to late to join the cyber world, although I only meant I was a neophyte to this particular website, not computers, in general. I have perused many different soap blogs, but thought this one to be the best, which is why I finally joined in the discussions/debates. (Quite frankly, it was my utter frustration with the ludicrous Sabrina-Patrick pairing that made me start posting…I simply could not bear it any longer without being able to vent about that subject!!!!) Lastly, I am still pondering the great mystery of Britt’s “baby daddy”….I would have been perfectly happy for it to have been Patrick, but such seems not to be the case. At first, it strongly appeared that Dante and Lulu provided the means of motherhood for Dr. Westbourne, but now I am tending to suspect otherwise…I also hope that Dante is not the paternal donor, as it will set up a nasty custody battle, and also given “ShrewLu’s” recent bratty behavior, I really don’t want to see her mothering anyone! Hence, that leaves the wildcard option….at this point, I believe that perhaps Britt may not even be aware of the ultimate truth regarding her son’s paternity…who knows what the devious Dr. O. did whilst assisting her daughter’s “pregnancy project?” I am favoring a wonderful surprise, a huge twist to the big reveal….something totally unexpected!!!! All I am somewhat confident in predicting is that “Ben/Cesar” is truly Britt’s natural child, because I cannot envision her maniacal “mutta” being so invested in (and enamored of) an infant not of her own (and more importantly, Faison’s!) flesh and blood. Guess it is simply a wait and see situation for now….until then, we can only surmise what fantastic “dramatic liberties” may be possible with this and other plotlines!….”Buona Notte, Bella!”

Hey, Jared…I admire your frankness and honesty. As I stated before I am a straight woman with grown children. I personally know a few gay young men…some since they were little boys. My daughter’s best friend is gay, and yes, he is much more than that as are the other young men. My daughter is straight and married and has known Ben since grammar school, as I have. When he finally came out, after College, was I supposed to have kicked him out of my house or love him any less? He had a hard time being accepted by his own parents, but he did find solace in my home. Thankfully, all is well with his parents now.Nonetheless this is a very sensitive subject for many ,…..for both gay and straight. This happens in my own home where both my husband and son just seem to tolerate these young men . They would never verbalize anything negative, but I sense it. My family has known these boys for as long as I have, obviously, and deep down I know they care. These young men are the most loving, respectful and upstanding people one could ever come to know and love. They have so much more to offer than their homosexuality….more power to you,…ciao
