Last night on the season premiere of ABC’s hit ballroom dance competition, Dancing with the Stars,  General Hospital’s Ingo Rademacher (Jax) kicked off his drive to win the Mirror Ball Trophy along with his dance partner, Kym Johnson.

For their first routine, Ingo and Kym danced a contemporary routine which scored a total of 20 from the judges: Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno!  There were plenty of lifts, but according to Len Goodman – not enough dancing.

In addition, one of the cutest moments happened after Ingo finished his first dance with Kym, when the camera panned to his adorable son, who was all smiles and clapping for his dad in the audience.

Watch Ingo and Kym’s dance routine after the jump, and let us know how you feel about it? And, if you think Ingo can remain in the competition! Also remember, to show your support of your soap stars by voting them through!

He did a better job than i ever could, and i cant dance at all so i cant complain. It also shows naysayers in Hollywood who think there is no talent in daytime that they are wrong. Plus his presence there is an added bonus for GH even if he is no longer a regular on the show. Hope he stays longer win or loose!

Len doesn’t have any respect for anything but traditional ballroom.

It’s great that abc regularly has some racial diversity among the personalities vying for the trophy. But it’s really dumb that abc’s dancing reality competish still has no Latin american and African american pro dancers.
