The votes are in and have been tallied. And in a record number of votes for this website, we can reveal the highest vote getters and performers, who you the fans felt was the most deserving of a Daytime Emmy Pre-Nomination but was MIA from the second round ballot and overlooked in our weekend long Daytime Emmy Snub Poll!
There was a very tight race for the top spot, but in the end voters felt that General Hospital’s Kimberly McCullough (Robin) deserved a pre-nomination the most over the other candidates for her stirring and moving performance in 2010 with 22.5% of the votes. The second runner-up and separated by less than 40 votes was her GH castmate, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who received 20.49% of the votes. Both McCullough and Zamprogna were left off the Supporting Actress and Actor categories ballot for a pre-nom.
Third runner-up went to Days of our Lives, Crystal Chappell (Carly) who failed to get out of the gate for a Lead Actress Pre-Nom. Chappell received 11.45& of the vote. The fourth spot went to Florencia Lozano (Tea) who was overlooked in the Lead Actress Pre-Noms from One Life to Live. The talented Lozano received 11.28% of the vote. And, rounding out the top five was The Young and the Restless‘, Michael Muhney (Adam) who received 7.16% of the vote.
Other performers receiving high totals were DAYS Suzanne Rogers (Maggie) and Eric Martsolf, (Brady), and The Young and the Restless‘, Stacy Haiduk (Emily/Patty), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki,) and Eric Braeden (Victor).
In the write-in category, fans wrote in the name most of General Hospital’s Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth), who unfortunately was not eligible anyway, since she was not even on the GH pre-pre nomination ballot, and so thus, she was not snubbed for a pre-nomination like the other candidates were above.
Thanks to all who took the time to put write their comments, opinions, let their voice be heard, and voted in our poll! Now it’s on to see who actually gets into the final round when the nominations are announced by NATAS on May 11th.
