During a facebook live chat today, General Hospital’s Kirsten Storms (Maxie) and Ryan Paevey (Nathan) fielded questions from fans.  This was the first GH promotional event featuring Storms since her temporary exit from the series.

Now back in full Maxie-mode, Kirsten reveals that fans will finally see Maxie on their screens come the week of July 24th.  She also teased that some of her first scenes back were not only with Ryan, but John J. York (Mac) and Kristina Wagner (Felicia) as well.

When asked about the state and the future of their popular pairing known as “Naxie”, Ryan and Kirsten say that the couple will get back to being newlyweds.  As to if there is a Naxie baby in their future, Paevey expressed: “That would be an interesting way to mix things up.”

Steve Burton’s name was mentioned during the facebook live chat where both stars admitted they would most like to work with him when he returns to the show, while they do not know or reveal what part he will be playing.

Watch Kirsten and Ryan’s facebook live chat after the jump with some drop-in special guests: director Bill Ludel and casting director, Mark Teschner.

Then let us know what do you think should happen with Naxie now that Kirsten is back on the ABC daytime drama series via the comment section below!

I want to see a lot of Nathan and Maxie scenes, a storyline of their own, and I want to see this storyline with Amy over with. I still think there should be a storyline of who Nathan’s father is with Naxie going on an adventure to learn.

Thumbs up to everything you just said, Jennifer m! Many of us are still desirous of knowing who sired Nathan after years and years of waiting for this tantalizing truth….it would certainly fuel a storyline that would prove far more interesting and compelling than all the nutty nonsense transpiring with Nurse Amy! Enough of this third-string character and her highly-contrived melodramas…it’s time for her to either go back to the hospital where she purportedly belongs or just scram from Port Charles altogether…the latter being my preferred choice!

i hope Amy goes ‘crazy’ for Nathan and he shoots her…however, there is one way they could keep her that i might accept…Amy works for Nathan’s father-whoever that might be!!!

    Celia replied

    Absolutely, Shay and Jennifer.
“Oh, Nathan’s father is so much worse than Victor”…. I am paraphrasing Liesl, of course, but those words were a tease. We have been talking about it since. The only other entity left is Caleb? What’s worse than a Vampire? LOL.
As yourself, I am very interested in finding out who sired this spectacular specimen of human maleness and verility. Yum!!
Nurse Amy has the power to make me grind my teeth. I feel badly because she tries too hard, in my opinion. If she could tone it down a notch, perhaps she’d elicit a more positive vibe, albeit she does have her fans. I am still in a quandary, Shaybelle….does Amy ‘come in peace”? Is she friendly? I do not like it when my sense of “smell” is out of whack.
For triviality sake, Risa is a newlywed. She really is a pretty girl. Best of luck.
My sister, who follows all this stuff, told me that Risa receives so much mean-spirited body-shaming comments. Cruel, stupid, immature morons to do this. My heart goes out to her. I wish people could look beyond that and into someone’s heart; especially when we do not know said someone personally.

I love the couple SO MUCH them and STEVE BURTON!!!!! GREAT !!!!!!

I agree about Risa. I may not like her character Amy but she is beautiful actress and she doesn’t deserves those comments thrown at her.

Words are very powerful, Jennifer. some people live to hurt others, but, fundamentally, it is they who have issues. Putting others down elevates them…..in their ignorant mentality, it’s an emotional fix.
Sometimes it’s hard not to fight back.

    Steve replied

As Liesl’s days in PC look numbered, hopefully Nathan gets some information about his pappy before she departs.

I think you’re right, Steve. This is why TPTB have her as the culprit ofmessing with Finn’s lab reports.
Once she’s exposed, Liesl is a goner. Will her vendetta be directed towards Finn and Hayden?

    Steve replied

    Celia
Before KG departs, it looks like Liesl will be the cause of Hayden’s departure.

    Shay replied

Sad but true, Steve and CeeCee….and I’m livid about it! Not only is Liesl O. a character with vast potential for both comedy and drama, but Kathleen Gati is pure talent personified! It’s ludicrous that such a powerful combination was so squandered by the GH honchos…and for what? To allow the introsuction of more and more lame newbies that have never gone anywhere…Same for daughter Britta….this highly-dysfunctional (emphasis on the “fun” part) duo was the best thing ever to emerge from Ron C.’s often-too-fickle imagination, and countless storylines could—and most definitely, SHOULD!—have been built around this freaky family of Faisonic origin, especially once Nathan and the “Who’s your daddy” angle emerged. Shame, shame, shame on GH for this epic waste of immensely unique possibilities!

  2. rebecca1 says:

Cute interview; I look forward to her return but I really am enjoying Nathan with Amy! I hope they continue to evolve Amy and don’t just drop her…maybe she’ll start dating Griffin. LOL…she’s so pretty and lively, it’d be nice to step her up!’

    Welcome back, Kirsten!

I never liked Maxie .. (nothing to with the actress)
Maxie never grew up, always childish, she never became a bit sophisticated, she comes off as stupid, a Dingbat..
I sorta cringe when she’s on my screen , usually a need to FF her..

Nathan is a grown man, and has his act together to be tied down with a goofy dingbat..

(always hoping for the return of the actress who recently stepped in for Maxie she was a 100 times better, she was a grownup I liked her..

but– it is what it is …

I had truly hoped… that when Maxie had baby Georgie… she would “mature” and become more sophisticated.. which in her dress and style.. she goes their.

since the writers – do not – know how to write. they may as well dress up the show.. and it’s to our advantage that they feature MORE Mac and Felicia. as the familial bond is the way to feature Maxie.

I thought it a little too damn bad… yeah, I like this couple.. more so Nathan.. but when the question popped up .. “what is your favorite story line? neither could really answer that. shame on Frank and Shelley.

about the only time I saw any “story” was when… Ellie Trout was on… when they faked going to the nurses ball one year. talk about natural chemistry. Ellie is quite the talker and no where in the ditzy arena as Maxie. this is one couple GH should explore. I wonder if Maxie should become a lesbian ? why not? a whole ‘nother arena for Kirsten STorms to explore.. because it’s long winded now that Maxie is still the town ditz… if the writers do not have it in them… to give her dialogue. they seem to be able to writer for Lucy.. course she’s the better actor? who knows.. it just hasn’t worked for Maxie in quite a long while.

I accept Nathan and Maxie as that couple .. like Lulu and Dante… just their.

One does not just “become a lesbian”. And no, that’s not what happened with Kristina.

Kristina’s bisexual reveal was one of Jelly’s better stories – believable since Krissy was gone during her formative college years. Maxie (the character) has been on GH continuously since birth. We would have discovered if she had those feelings years ago.

I am thrilled KS will be back soon. I’ve missed Maxie so much, and no one can portray her like KS. She looks really beautiful in the video. I love her and Nathan, and I hope we get a great story for them when she returns.

My boyfriend and I play a game called “they lift right out” whenever we watch a tv show. The rules are simple: you point out characters that lift right out of a show and no one would even notice because those characters have absolutely no story and have zero impact on the other characters.

Maxie and Nathan lift right out.

    Shay replied

Great game there, Alan….Nina would also fit that description, even though the writers constantly try to shoehorn her into other characters’ business where she really doesn’t belong so as to make her appear significant. She isn’t!

I’d love to see more of them. Particularly Mac. Always loved him and couldn’t believe how they, after his many years, just tossed him out. Horrible.

    rebecca1 replied

By tossed “him” out…I mean John York (although it could be argued it was also horrible how they just tossed “Mac” out of his commissioner job as well!)

    James R. Poissant replied

And it wasn’t just them either. Bobbie and Monica were also not seen until Frank took over. Maybe these characters can’t really get too much airtime to drive story but having them around as fillers in scenes will work for me. These are the characters who had stories that had me rushing home from school just to tune in and see them every day because VCR machines were costly back then and not everybody had the funds to go out and get one. It was like that with my folks. Anyway, I am going to be happy to see Mac and Felicia.

    Steve replied

When they put the current style of credits together after Frank took over, JJY was not shown, despite being second in seniority among contract players after Tony Geary. Guess that was the writing on the wall.

York was dropped to recurring for a few weeks in the early 2000′s. When Kristina Wagner chose to depart (after she was low-balled in contract negotiations) York was immediately put back on contract to ensure teenaged Maxie and Georgie had a parent.

As James points out Bobbie and Monica are back (both on twice this week) more so than some of the contract players. Hopefully we’ll get to see Mac and Felicia on a more regular basis soon.

    rebecca1 replied

    Hey James R. Poissant…

I think Mac and Felicia could drive story. If they had a chance. As it stands, I wouldn’t get too “happy” about a Mac siting just yet…for all we know Maxi can call them on the phone to say she’s back and she’ll meet them later (off screen). I like Felicia but I love Mac. I really wish they’d put him back on the force. He’s a legacy character and there was absolutely no reason to discard him when Finola came back. I adore the actress and the character but they should have worked it out to keep both. (Wonder why he hasn’t shown up on another soap…unless it’s his decision not to.)

    rebecca1 replied

Hi Steve…I am really happy Monica’s back. I’m happy as a viewer to have her and I’m happy for the actress to be recognized again. Must be a mixed bag…almost all the actors she worked with on the show…her GH family… are gone…Must be biittersweet. But she looks so good, doncha think? She really should be the new Lila; of course her temperament is quite different but I mean as the onsite lady of the mansion. We need “an original” to sit at the helm. I’m really hoping Ned isn’t going to disappear again…I’m assuming he’ll be on sporadically. And this is beyond redundant but can you just imagine if Sean Kanan was still there? At least with Monica, Ned, AJ…Jason…Dilllon (Dylan?) there’d still be a “feel” of the ol’ days. Of course, even as in real life as we lose family members…it’ll never be the same. But there shouldn’t have been such a break in continuity; in lineage. Ron should have been fired just for killing off AJ…osr someone should have had the brains and gauged audience reaction enough to know that most were excited for his return. It really makes you wonder if they even follow or understand what “not” to do. What would really be nice would be for the current regime to make nice with Sean since he’s no longer on B&B and concoct something to bring him back again. I really don’t care what they come up with to do it.

Your comment about Lila and a lady of the manor resonates. One of the things GH is lacking right now are seniors who act like “elder statesmen”. The show was blessed to have John Ingle for many years and characters like Lila, Lee Baldwin and Amanda Barrington to spread wisdom.

Granted, actors age and some do not want to appear anymore. At least Audrey is referred to frequently, but with all the went on this past year, Laura certainly could have used her mother – yet Lesley is never mentioned. Sonny never mentions Mike anymore (I know Ron Hale wanted to retire). Heck, let’s have Aunt Charlene show up at the next Nurse’s Ball to keep Lucy on edge.

I hope the show will do right by Peter Hansen and show Scotty’s reaction to Lee’s passing.

Once again I’m amazed at viewers memories. I didn’t even remember Lucy’s Aunt Charlene. Just watched a clip on youtube. Sigh…those old GH clips are so nostalgic…and the acting was actually good! I just watched Tony Jones and Steve Hardy chat in the hospital and it was sooooo realistic. No stereotypical over-the-top melodrama. As much as any of us long for those days…those actors, stories, characters are gone for good; but they were good while they lasted! Such nostalgia!

Wonder why Peter Hansen never returned to the show. Would have loved him to have continued on…

And yes, ridiculous that Sonny never mentions Mike. He was a great character and so integral to Sonny. The writers really do think out of sight out of mind. Or is it that they don’t even know their own history???

SO VERY HAPPY Kirsten is coming back! She is one of my favorite actresses and Maxie is a favorite character. I am not a fan of Naxie, but want her back anyway we can get her! Would love Bradford back with her! Would love to see her be more involved with Steve Burton. I really loved Maxie and Spinelli with Steve’s Jason. So happy to have Kirsten and Steve back!

Sorry mac is a bore. Felicia and Mac are two good people, compatible without any real issues. They should have kept Frisco for at least some kind of tension. Cannot see any story for them. If either one cheated it would just prove the original story…Mac was a substitue for the real thing. If it was not for their personal life,, Frisco and Felicia would have stayed together. The writers messed up the uncoupling so much that it ultimately tanked Felicia and Mac.
should have freed them both and then maybe Fellica could have been like Laura with a new guy and Mac might have found one of those numerous women his age that seemed never to find the right guy.
