General Hospital’s Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) will be heading for a guest-star turn on ABC’s hit primetime series, Castle starring Nathan Fillion!

TV Line learned first the exclusive today, that the two-time Daytime Emmy winner will play Samantha Voss, a wealthy, recently divorced woman, caught in a hilariously ill-willed War of the Roses struggle with her ex-husband (played by Weeds‘ Brendan Ford.)  The episode, titled “Significant Others,” is slated to air in early January.

Grahn isn’t the only soap veteran appearing in the episode. The actress’ former Santa Barbara co-star, and last seen on The Bold and the Beautiful, Jack Wagner, is confirmed to play a famous golfer whose wife turns up dead.

In addition to her upcoming appearance on Castle, Grahn will be making a stop at the daytime cooking/foodie show, The Chew on the November 8th episode!

Love that show! Will look forward to seeing her. Whenever one of “my” soap stars make a guest appearance on a primetime show, it’s like a little family reunion for me. :0)

In a word, Yes. I’m hoping she has a larger part than so many other soap stars usually end up with on primetime. Often it’s just one short scene.

I’m glad Nancy will be on an episode of Castle. The star, Nathen Fillion, played Joey Buchanon on OLTL and has always been loyal to that show and the daytime genre. They actually have cast many ex-soap stars on Castle. My problem is Nancy guesting on the Spew. I’m guessing she is being forced to do this by her bosses at ABC/D. I’m never happy when one of our soap actors is on that terrible show that took AMC’s place. We soap fans have long memories!

Castle is a great show, and Nathan Fillion is wonderful in it (as are the other characters/actors), and like you Mary, I adore the fact that he never forgot his soap opera roots, always speaking highly of the genre in interviews, and often having soap stars on the show – thanks Nathan and kudos to you!!! I can certainly see Nancy playing the character of Samantha Voss, and I know she will do a wonderful job, and Jack Wagner playing a golfer is certainly him, so I am sure the show will be great, and I look forward to seeing it. While I loved and miss AMC and do not watch the Chew, I am in favor of any crossovers that GH characters can do, to possibly bring additional viewers to it. I also wish the View would have GH stars on their show, just like The Talk has CBS soap stars on their show all the time. I am sure someone at ABC Daytime had to have thought of that, so I wonder why they are not appearing on the View — come on Barbara Walters invite some GH soap stars onto your show, that can only help both shows!!!!!

Yes, I am glad that Nancy will be on Castle, my favorite primetime show. I would also love to see Erika Slezak (Nathan’s mom Viki on OLTL). That would be so great to see them together again.
