The nominations were announced this morning for the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards honoring the best in film and televison as recognized and chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
And in was beloved former One Life to Live star, Judith Light who scored her first Golden Globe nomination of her career in her star turn on Amazon Prime’s Transparent in the category of Best Supporting actress in a TV series, limited series or TV movie. Light could add a Globe to her trophy case where she already has two Daytime Emmys for her legendary performance of Karen Wolek on One Life, and two Tonys for her performances on the Broadway stage. Judith will compete for the Globe against: Uzo Aduba, “Orange Is the New Black”. Joanne Froggatt, “Downton Abbey”, Regina King, “American Crime”, and Maura Tierney, “The Affair”.
In other TV notable nominations, Empire’s Taraji P. Henson, while knocked-out of the competition for the SAG Awards did score with the Hollywood Foreign Press. Henson will compete in the Best Actress in a TV Series Drama against; Caitriona Balfe, “Outlander”, Viola Davis, “How to Get Away with Murder”, Eva Green, “Penny Dreadful, and Robin Wright, “House of Cards”.
