Ingo Rademacher who has been on again and off again as leading man, Jasper Jax on General Hospital finally spoke to ABC Soaps In Depth about his upcoming return to the series, which he took to Twitter to tell his fans and followers yesterday.

Now Ingo tells SID some of the details, where we learn that Jax’s return to Port Charles has been in the works for some time! Rademacher revealed, “We’ve been talking about it for a while. When I came back the first time — which was almost an extension of the contract in a way — you couldn’t really call that a “comeback” because there was no real time in between.”

According to SID, “The actor remains hopeful that the storyline will leave the door open for Jax to pop back into Port Charles in the future. “[Executive producer] Jill [Farren Phelps] has always been very much upfront with me with this whole thing,” he says. “She’s always had the thought that Jax was going to keep returning.”

When Ingo took to Twitter on Tuesday he told fans that GH has a story arc that will bring his presumed-dead character back to the canvas for about 3 weeks early in the new year!

Are you glad to see Ingo back? Let us know!

I’m glad he’s returning. “General Hospital” desperately needs as many fan favorites as it can get, and he’s always been one of my favorites. As the tone of the show gets darker and darker; a male lead who isn’t so dark would be a welcome relief. My recommendation to “GH” would be to develop a long-term realistic storyline about the challenges of joint custody. Just “Jax” and “Carly” dealing with the fall-out from their divorce on their relationship as co-parents to “Josslyn” as they pursue new romantic relationships (“Carly” with “Shawn” is promising.) No mob, no killing, no plane crashes, just a human story that reflects the lives and issues many, many people deal with on a daily basis. There’s plenty of room for drama in that.

As long as they don’t make him evil when he comes back, all this talk about a serial killer à la Dexter, and that it is a character not on screen at the moment but was makes me afraid…

Back for what? Josslyn again? Rinse and repeat.

This arc is just going to be another way to prop Sonny… or even Michael for that matter.

Please let him stay away. I don’t see any further use for him for the time being.
