In a news item out today from FOX News, Patricia Maucieri the fired One Life to Live actress who got into a disagreement with the shows executive producer, Frank Valentini over her objection to her former character, Carlotta’s unrealistic gay-friendly dialogue is saying she was fired over her “religious beliefs” and considering taking legal action against ABC.
Mauriceri said, “I did not object to being in a gay storyline. I objected to speaking the truth of what that person, how that person would live and breathe and act in that storyline,” she said. “And this goes against everything I am, my belief system, and what I know the character’s belief system is aligned to.”
The scene is question began airing today on the ABC soap with actress, Saundra Santiago now in the shoes of Carlotta Vega. Santiago (pictured below) was an emergency recast to tape this scenes in which Carlotta finds the book, “How To Tell You’re Parents You’re Gay”.
