41 February 23rd, 2013 Jack Wagner Opens Up About Those Emotional Scenes Between Frisco and Maxie on General Hospital!

General Hospital fans have witnessed some fantastic scenes between MIA father Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner) and his daughter Maxie (Kirsten Storms) on recent episodes of the ABC soap opera! The emotions were high as Maxie struggled to open to her father, who had not been present most of her life, while Frisco felt the guilt of never having been there for his daughter! Finally, Maxie entrusts Frisco with the news of her baby drama, and the truth that she lost Dante and Lulu’s baby, and is now having her and Spinelli’s baby.  All the while, Britt has been blackmailing Maxie with her secret in order to  get Maxie to help destroy Sabrina’s nursing career!  Once Frisco hears the details he vows to fix this for Maxie and stand by her.   It was hard not to notice the deep connection that played out between these two performers.

Well now in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, Jack Wagner reveals that his real life experience being reunited with his daughter Kerry, who went looking for her biological parents, had made an impact in those Frisco and Maxie scenes.

Wagner related, “I have to say after my daughter having found me and now doing this scene work with Kirsten Storms, I was literally holding back tears – even in rehearsal.  I can’t tell you the raw emotion it brought up in me, dealing with this daughter and the fact that I haven’t been present in her life.  It was so deep and powerful that I couldn’t have anticipated it.  I just want to grab her and put my arms around her. I continually got the note, ‘Hey, you’re not the one who’s supposed to be crying! (Laughs)’ Talk about art imitating life, I just lived this!”

So soapers, what did you think about the recent Frisco and Maxie scenes? Did you love them as much as we did? Weigh-in!

Jack Wagner’s return was a brilliant move by GH. So much ground to cover with Frisco’s absence. In such a short time Jack and Kirsten Storms have both entertained us and brought us to tears . They have amazing father daughter chemistry and their scenes leave us wanting more!

I loved the scenes and want more!!! I want him to stay a bit and truly help with Brit… but more importantly I want him to be there for Maxie and repair their relationship!!! I love the character of Maxie and I love KS and am soooooooo happy she is back! I loved the chemistry between Frisco/JW and Maxie/KS! Maxie needs some love and help from her Dad right now and I want to have that happen.

If it helps get SPIXIE back together… even better! I always liked the Frisco character and yet I really liked him more with the scenes with Maxie and I have been waiting for them to have more great scenes together!!! The one drawback these days with GH is the wait between your favorite storylines and getting back to the scenes… it takes days and sometime weeks. Please keep Frisco around for a while… Maxie needs her Dad!!! Kirsten is doing a phenomenal job with these scenes too!!! LOVE GH!!! Best show by far! Best cast!!!

What emotional scenes?!LOL They were all cut out to make time for crap with the Port Charles/OLTL characters.

Just have to find something to gripe about don’t ya? The episode when Maxie divulges her issue to we father and he confronts Britt, didn’t involve anyone from Port Charles and OLTL besides a couple of scenes with Starr in which she was supporting Lulu, Michael, Connie, and Sonny. It’s time to start dealing with the fact McBain, Todd, and Starr are on the show. lol.
And what else do you need. They’ve brought back how many major GH characters from the last twenty or thirty years, with more on their way for the 50th Anniversary. It’s time to deal. They’re on the show. And besides appearances on the OLTL web version, I don’t think they’re going anywhere. They ARE GH characters now.

Some of those scenes between Frisco and Maxi were some of GHs best moments. My only gripe is they didnt continue the scene when Frisco confronted Dr. Britchany about her black mailing Maxi. I just wanted to see Dr. Evil say something against Maxi and get Britched slap 4 it.
As for Jack reunited with his realife daughter, that was more exciting to hear than his on screen reunion with his tv daughter. I wish him and his daughter the best and hope they stay in contact. Family is the most important thing we have in life.

I think the Mac/Frisco/Felicia triangle is pretty compelling. I actually like Mac & Felicia together.

I LOVED the scene of Frisco & Dr. Britch! Maxie looked so relieved to finally have someone in her corner. I hope his strategy works and Britch leaves poor Maxie alone (& Sabrina) :)

Great scenes and great acting from Jack Wagner and Kirsten Storms!!! I think this is what Maxie needs in her life right now…her parents!

Glad they brought him back and it will be interesting to see how this affects Maxie’s relationship with Mac. On another note, isn’t it time we stop the “Those People are Taking Over Our Show!” GH has never been better and I believe FV & RC are trying to honor every aspect of GH’s history, which does include Port Charles (even though I will be glad when the vampire storyline is over).

    I’ll say it again…. it’s the Frisco/Felicia scenes that have me wondering….. THEY’RE ELECTRIC…

my first thought… leave Mac be… he deserves a relationship…

I can only hope… TPTB… the writers, delve in to this threesome… the potential is ALL there….

I thought it was pretty fast for Maxie to confide in her father…. but, for frisco’s gig… i could see that… but… you could see… how a daughter would do that.

    what i should clarify…. a father/daughter relationship is something to behold… and for time’s sake… it was rather quickly…

i’d have rather seen Maxie… emote some real feelings of abandonment… no father… anger… what have you… since it seems she really didn’t have this with Felicia as well…. altho… i like that Felicia was sharing with Frisco… that.. yes, it took Maxie much longer than Felicia would have liked for her to warm to her, mother… that was a nice conversation….like she was telling frisco… go after your daughter… i’m w/Mac…. so we’ll see….it was nice to see that family dynamic…. the angst….geez…

This is a hard one for me! I like seeing Frisco back and, on the surface, I enjoyed the emotion of the Maxie/Frisco scenes – nicely done by both Jack Wagner and Kirsten Storms. However, I couldn’t relate to these moments the way some can because of the weak foundation on which they were built. While some may appreciate that Frisco is not judging Maxie, as a caring adult in her life, perhaps he should be guiding her to see that her greatest wrongs are deceiving her good friends, Dante and Lulu, and her baby’s father, Spinelli. She is robbing Dante and Lulu of a much-needed truth and of the chance to mourn the baby they fell in love with as they watched it being created in the GH lab on Dec 17. She is robbing Spinelli of a choice that is his – not hers to make. Yes, Sabrina has been wronged and that wrong should be righted; however, it’s discouraging as a fan of all parties involved (Maxie included), to watch a stranger take priority over her loved ones.
Of course, it’s easy to follow the diversion of blame to big bad Britt and, because Britt is not a likeable character, we can celebrate seeing anyone take her to task … and Frisco pleased us by doing this well. However, for some of us, this blame-laying was hollow because Maxie herself has the answer to her problem – HONESTY! Yes, there would be short-term hurt, but Maxie’s machinations are only postponing deeper, long-term hurt and are not as selfless as she and others are trying to convince her and us that they are.
So, back to her scenes with Frisco, I will appreciate them more when there is a deeper moral substance to them.

this is just food for thought….

who knows where the writers are going to go with this…

    you’re right… I am so in to Spinelli and Ellie… and Maxie… this threesome…

geez! i cried on the valentine’s day episode…. when Spinelli and Ellie were dancing… as he held her up with his belt….

    ————————-

this is such as opportunity for Kirsten Storms to show us her acting chops… and it’s kinda like the same Maxie of ole… no real range… she acts first and lets everything fall where they may… etc….

she is robbing Spinelli of his child…..

my point… long winded as i can be…

does maxie want the baby? is she going to give her child to lulu and dante?

I don’t think so… this will be the catalyst for a reunion with Spinelli some time down the road….

    —————————

    shucks….

I should clarify – ie; Maxie’s acting…. when she acts first and lets everything FALL where they may…. is what makes her funny…. she reacts so in to herself… and waits…

    Patrick replied

Caitie – that’s well said… and is definately good story potential… hoping they go that route….

I wonder how long Frisco is in GH?

Maxie doesn’t want the baby, she wants Lulu and Dante to have it. Spinelli doesn’t want a baby either and he doesn’t want Maxie. As convoluted as it may seem, Maxie is making the right choice for a difficult situation. Sometimes “honesty” is so overrated.
