In a heartfelt tweet early AM Monday, Jack Wagner (Ex-Frisco, GH, Ex-Nick, B&B) who has been very public about his struggles with addiction and alcohol over the years, sent out an important tweet to his followers sharing his fear and his concerns for his 21-year-old younget son, Harrison.

In a update two hours ago, Wagner tweeted that his son has indeed been in contact! That is good news.  Jack shared to all: “Harrisons been in touch, he’s 21 & in charge of his life, ty for the lv & prayers, please continue to share your struggles, it helps us all.”

The talented actor/singer, who has been most recenly starring in the Hallmark Channel series, When Calls The Heart and former wife, Kristina Wagner (Felicia, GH) are Harrison’s parents. In his initial post, Wagner began:  “I’m going to ask those who want to share their fears, addictions & struggles to do so w me via Twitter. We can face them 2gether, I’ll start.  I fear for my youngest sons safety. Harrison has struggled w drugs & alcohol just as I did when I was younger. He’s relapsed & is MIA 5days.”

Following that personal family news, several followers of Wagner took him up on his statement and reached out to them with their current fears and struggles with addiction, and in a very heart-warming way, Jack has been responding to each with a personal tweet back.

Out thoughts are with Jack. Kristina and Harrison at this time, and we hope for all concerned this comes to a safe conclusion shortly during this family crisis.

I had a brother who was drug addict, my parents did nothing when he stole from them One day he came to my house and stole while we were out with our kids. Well I decided to do something because I did not want to get a call at 3 am saying they found my brother. So I told him he returns everything and he had till Monday to get in a rehab or I was pressing charges, a lot was exchanged between us but in the end I told him I would do it because I love him and want him to live a long life. Anyway 30 years later he has been drug free married and has 4 beautiful children and his own business. Hang in there guys but also you have to be tough and stick to whatever ultimatum you give him. I will be praying for him and his family.

Jack & Kristina, my prayers are with you & your family. My daughter relapsed about a month ago. She is getting back on track, thank God. She has a one year old son, and I actually took him to a motel for three days so that she and the horrible, violent man she was hanging out with couldn’t find us. I thank God my daughter is safe, and will pray that your son will be, too.

My dear college friend lost her oldest son to addiction, drugs and depression. My former son-in-law has been battling his demons of addiction, anxiety and depression for the past almost 5 years. Sadly it cost him his wife and son and the family they could’ve built together. He tries desperately to get better but has not yet met with success. Thankfully he is currently in a long term care facility and as always we pray for the best outcome possible for him and for my grandson. My heart hurts to see such struggle and pain. I will be holding you, Kristina and your son close in my heart and prayers. Pray for strength, wisdom, peace and healing for all.

I guess I am the only person who thinks that Jack posting his son’s troubles on Twitter for the whole world to know is a huge invasion of privacy. I understand that celebrities like to live their lives online but his son may not feel that way. Regardless of his issues, he has a right to privacy. I would be appalled if my family member broadcast my problems for the world to know.

    Totally Agree!
JW says “he’s 21 & in charge of his life” but spreads his business everywhere. Sad for Harrison.

I certainly can understand what you are saying, tatiana. Our privacy should be respected. But, it could be that Jack acted out of desperation. As a mother, I do feel that he probably felt the NEED to find his son no matter what. Better safe than sorry; pardon the cliche’.
Perhaps, the public, being made aware of his sons ‘issues’ with drugs was the incentive to draw him out. We do not know.
For a parent who is in that helpless position, he probably thought, “Privacy be damned”. One’s child never stops being one’s child, regardless his/her age. Just my opinion.

Jack probably did this out of desperation/public intervention. Whatever saves the kids life.

    Celia replied

    Hi, tatiana.
I can certainly appreciate your sentiment. Our privacy should be respected.
At the same time, as a mother, I can also understand that Jack may have acted out of desperation.
We, as parents, lose sight of what’s right or wrong…..or, what’s proper, when our children’s safety is at stake.
Jack, I am sure, felt the need to find his son; better safe than sorry…..pardon the cliche’.
Perhaps, making it public was the incentive to draw his son out to prevent a tragedy. All that matters is that he has been found. We do not know the details.
One only hopes, something drastic will be done to help this ‘guy-child’. In that situation ( in which I hope I or my husband will never find ourselves), I, too, would have said, “Privacy be damned”.
Our children do not stop being our children…..or, we do not stop loving them once they reach majority.
    Just my opinion. Take care.

Another opinion that someone suggested was that his son’s disappearance and/or addiction issues were going to be reported by the paparazzi so the Wagners were trying to get ahead of it. Either way, I could never live with this complete lack of privacy.

    Celia replied

I am so sorry, but my first post was not going through and when it disappeared, I had to improvise with another.
Forgive me for boring you guys with my double unintentional post.

You are so right, tatiana. I couldn’t either. But, lack of privacy for these celebrities goes with the territory. It’s a damned if you do and damned if you don’t kind of life.

His intentions was to help others and reach out to his son.He was worried about his son.He probably texted and called first and got no response so he used social media since his son is on twitter.

Better Days Ahead!! Stop slamming Jack and Kristina for sharing since this was important to them. Support and encouragement when in crisis helps to get through it easier. They love their son and it is great to be willing to share and not be ashamed. We all struggle with different issues in this life and it is a sign of strength to come forward and speak public about it! We are all one family in God’s eyes so Love and Peace please prevail…May Harrison and all struggling addicts find comfort and solace…Amen
