We first reported this back in November, but it is was confirmed this week that General Hospital’s recurring baddie, James Franco, not only is hosting the Oscars and is a nominee for 127 Hours, but now is set to take on Broadway in a revival of Sweet Bird of Youth alongside Oscar winner, Nicole Kidman!
The play looks to be hitting the stage later this summer, according to Franco. In it, Franco plays the role of Chance Wayne. The Tennessee Williams’ classic debuted in 1959 at the Martin Beck Theatre with Paul Newman as Chance Wayne and Geraldine Page as Princess Kosmonopolous. Both stars reprised their performances in the 1962 film.
Sweet Bird of Youth, tells the story of a drifter, Chance Wayne, who returns to his home town with a faded movie star, Princess Kosmonopolis, hoping she will be the source of re-uniting him with his childhood sweetheart, Heavenly Finley. Chance has no idea that his past actions have damaged Heavenly’s life or that her Mayor father has sworn out an edict on him.”
Question, when does James Franco sleep?
